Elite Event: Breakfast For Dinner At Penny Ann’s Cafe

This was a really cool Unilocal Elite event. Yes, I wish I had gotten a onesie, yes it looked like I would sleep in what I wore anyways, and yes, the food was so awesome, I wanted to pass out right there. The activities, the food, the staff, the drinks, the atmosphere was all very happening that evening. I am so happy to be a part of it. Definitely, the highlight for me was the pot of gold that was served as well as the smothered burritos which were awesome. I cannot wait until I come back to Penny Ann’s again. I used to go to Brittons all the time for breakfast but I might have found a new home in the south valley. Thank you Penny Ann’s family and Unilocal family for throwing such an awesome event.

Thank you so much. This was a fabulous experience. My guest was astonished and amazed that businesses offer this kind of exclusive gathering. All the food was just top notch. My favorite was the waffles. The drinks were perfect as well, it was probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Best of all, the staff. So kind and informative. I will be back as quite honestly this is the best breakfast food I’ve eaten in SLC lately. Perhaps ever.

This was a very fun event with Breakfast for Dinner in our PJs at the Penny Ann Café’s new Draper location. Although not everyone showed up in their PJs, the animal PJs were well represented.
Everything was breakfast related from the drinks to the food. The drinks were all OJ based such as mimosa, screwdriver, and navels. They have a buffet style of Penny Ann’s breakfast offerings, hot cakes were freaking awesome. The staffs were very efficient with their drinks services too. If you were not bloated on breakfast foods or pies at end of the night, then maybe you are just not a morning person?
Thanks to Jeffrey and Penny Ann for another wonderful elite event. I look forward to finally have a decent place for breakfast in the Draper area.

Seriously another five star event by Jeffrey and Penny Ann’s!!! Lots of fun activities. Great sampling of why Penny Ann’s food is so amazing. You also got a sampling of the great staff that makes every experience so wonderful.

Another great Elite event to add to the books. I had an amazing time. The service was great, and the owners were very sweet. I was able to try the stuffed french toast, hot cakes, bacon waffles, and the breakfast burritos. Everything was very good, but my favorite was the stuffed french toast, I just wish they had made more. There were lots of fun activities and drinks to be had.
Overall, a great night, made even better because I was able to enjoy it all while relaxing in my comfy pajamas.

Did I wake up and go to heaven? Breakfast heaven I mean.
Thanks Jeffrey for another amazing event and also Penny Ann’s for hosting us. The food was amazing and I love the new location, so much more space. I will definitely be back but most likely during the week to beat the crowds.

Whoa baby! I’ll eat breakfast any time of day and luckily I got to do it for dinner at this event. I don’t even know where to begin. I guess my thanks to Jeffrey for organizing and the entire staff of Penny Ann’s for all their hard work and energetic service throughout the event.
Let’s talk décor. This café takes a page from the past with their style. State of the art equipment with a flair for the classics. The food was beyond great. Banana-​nutella pancakes. Maple bacon waffles (personal favorite). Original hotcakes. Pot of gold potatoes. And best of all… the smothered sausage breakfast burrito. Words cannot truly express how great of a burrito this is. My only regret was eating it last as I was becoming beyond full from all their other great foods. I’m so glad that I am close to this location since I plan on visiting them in the very near future.
My last note… the key lime pie. WOW! I’m not a fan on pie’s like this since they are usually on the sweeter side, but this key lime pie had a very nice tartness in addition tot he sweet. Despite being beyond my comfortable level of fullness I had no choice but to finish this slice. Well done Penny Ann’s. Well done!

What a great night, full of Penny Ann’s delicious breakfast food. I loved the open area, with way more seating space than the Main Street location. Penny Ann’s staff provided a wide variety of food, Buffett style, and it lasted for seconds and thirds. I thoroughly enjoyed the Nutella and banana French toast and the hot chocolate. Also, another highlight for me was the Pot of Gold… So yummy! I’m usually not a fan of gravy but found myself wanting more. Definitely looking forward to ordering the full version of it when I come in next! I think I’m going to skip the Main Street location and come to draper next!

one of my favorite things is to eat dinner for breakfast so why not eat breakfast for dinner? i’m glad i tried it and had so much fun at this event!
the pajama party was awesome! great idea jeff — it was so much fun to see everyone in their pajamas! my only regret is that i do not have onesies, but my hello kitty slippers made up for that =) i didn’t get a chance to do the breakfast necklace, but it looked fun!
the food was amazing! it was so good and very filling. i had the pot of gold without the gravy and it was very delicious. lots of bacon, potatoes, and my personal favorite, cheese!!! i didn’t try any of the desserts, but i was impressed that they make them all in house and they looked yummy.
the service was so wonderful! everyone that we interacted with were so friendly and i loved hearing about the history of the café. i love that it’s a family run café and it was cool to actually get to meet penny ann!
i actually pass this location all the time and never knew it was a café — my bad for not paying closer attention (i blame it on my bad vision). but i’m glad that draper finally has a great local place to go to for breakfast!

Fantastic Elite Event! The food was very good, the service was exceptional and it was great that so many Elites could make it to the event.
Penny Ann and her family were awesome, extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty from the Verde smothered burrito to the fluffy pancakes. We cannot forget the deserts, strawberry rhubarb pie, chocolate peanut butter pie and the chocolate chip cookies were great.

Breakfast for dinner is a win in my book. I really enjoyed the pajama theme and it was great seeing people dressed up (or down, I should say). The breakfast themed cocktails were really good. My favorite was the Hairy Navel. The food line went by quick and the workers were awesome at explaining each of the items and made me really excited to try everything. I loved the heavenly hot cakes, but the star was definitely the BAM waffles. Mmm… Bacon! The pies were awesome as well and there were so many flavor options which was great. Can’t wait to go back for more!

Food was great! I can’t wait to come back to try more items from the menu! My only regret was not saving room for the dessert! There was just so much food, and I was stuffffffffed. Thanks for taking care of all of us. It was great food, great drinks, great company, and just a great event. Love the pint glasses and the bazillion Unilocal swag scattered everywhere.
To think it used to be socially unacceptable to wear a onesie past 10am… let alone in the public. WHY HAVE WE LIVED LIKE THIS FOR SO LONG!!! Never again, NEVER. I kid, I kid – I’ll spare your poor eyes from the likes of my pjs. Anywho, thanks again Jeff for the monkey onesie! I looooove it.

Another fantastic elite event! The staff at Penny Ann’s were just as amazingly friendly as they always are, and the food was delicious (of course). Thanks to Jeffrey and all those that made it happen.

I hope I’m not the only one thinks that their portion was big, it’s not even close to small. I was already 60% full after having their heavenly hot cake. No kidding! But if you ask me if I would do this again or not, I would definitely say yes. Breakfast for dinner, duh! I couldn’t think of a better way to end my day by meeting some cool people and having breakfast at night. Thank you Jeffery for holding an amazing event once again, and thank you Penny Ann’s Café for having me tonight. You guys rock!

Very much enjoyed my 2^nd Unilocal event! It was crowded, but not too crowded where we couldn’t meet new Unilocalers to sit and chat with! They had a table set up for some breakfast cocktails (as usual) and while waiting in line, you can make a delicious cereal/​donut necklace! The food was plentiful and service was superb! I was very happy to have been able to check in and get a nifty Unilocal glass cup! Thanks Unilocal

Another great party at a fantastic restaurant with outstanding food with fantastic Unilocalers!!! (and Draper thespians)… Who could ask for more. Thanks Jeffrey!!!

It was all 5 stars except for getting home and realizing I left my beer glass :-(
The food only gave hints of how good it is when prepared to roder. That said, it is still better than any other place inthe area. They did a great job of preparing everything and were all friendly. Wayne came and set with us for quite a while. We had a wonderful conversation. It’s even better when the owners are are good as the food.

Fantastic! Ok, so this was my first Elite Event, and I’m absolutely hooked. Fun times, great people, and that restaurant is crazy great. Breakfast burrito wasn’t too eggy, the hotcakes ARE heavenly. And what a great family-​run business! My only regret is that I didn’t have the chance to personally thank and compliment Penny for her cookies. That is how chocolate chip cookies are supposed to be! Crisp outside, soft & fluffy inside, loads of chocolate … maybe I should’ve had more than 4 after all.

This place is GREAT! Happy, friendly, and energetic staff awaited the Eliters, as everyone piled in and circled the interior of the room. As you survey the room, you see Unilocal memorabilia scattered about the tables, and the sweet scent of breakfast items (pancakes, breakfast burritos, and other goodies) along with a perky bartender to make the night — smoother. ;)
They SAID it’d be small portions. They SAID don’t expect to leave full. They were WRONG! Not only was it delicious and rightly proportioned — it was FILLING. What whattt?! Double whammy! In essence, upon completion of «dinner,» I found all the food (especially the coffee) to be wonderfully prepared and top notch quality! Cant wait to come back again and see other Eliters checked in! :D

I am still so full. Somehow I’ve missed out on going to the Penny Ann’s in Salt Lake, so this was my first time trying the menu and it was fantastic. Thanks again for another great event, can’t wait for the next one and I can’t wait to put on my new elf hat and boxers set.
