I read your response to the treatment of my son and his friends and your other responses to bad ratings. It seems you have an excuse for everything and the customer is always wrong. My son and his friends had a reason for dropping the «F» bomb and that reason had to do with the way they were treated by you and your staff PERIOD!

More of a tip than a review: be sure to spray down with bug spray! My child attended a birthday party here and all of us came back with horrible chigger bites.

Great activity for a bachelor group party. Anissa was very responsive in answering questions and getting us set up prior to the day. Our ref, Tucker, is very easy going and took care of us. Definitely recommend spending extra to get private fields. It can get crowded.

We showed up with Groupons for two groups of six adults on a Sunday. They have a bunch of fun courses ranging from more traditional paintball maps to interesting maps featuring catwalks and trenches. We played elimination, capture the flag, and other game types. It wasn’t too busy on a Sunday and we were able to have a lot of flexibility in the type of game we played and the size of the group we played with.
The customer service was especially good. During a large game, some of the kids we were playing with stole a bunch of the ammo we had purchase on-​site and stashed. The staff replaced it for us, which they didn’t have to do and really improved the overall quality of our experience. We played for about 4 hours and it cost about $ 30 per person with the Groupon and extra ammo. Would do it again any time

PARENTS… If you have kids trying to have a birthday here… DON’T DO IT! We had our 10 year olds bday here and everything was great, except they let adults play with kids. We were led to believe our kids would have a guide/​referee. Instead they were put with a couple other groups with some adults… well those adults happened to be horrible people and decided to shoot our 8 and 9 year old kids multiple times in close range. Our kids yelled stop multiple times and the grown adult male continued to shoot our kids. 3 kids came back after our party crying. The referee said that the adult followed their «rules» even though our kids were crying and yelling stop! We talked to the owner Craig and he gave us a «blanket» very scripted apology and said, «what do you want me to do. Kick him out?» He then proceeded to go be chummy with the guy. WOW, we will never be back!

Been trying to get more information regarding the paint you sell at the field and your email address that is on the site does not work. This to me is horrible way to operate a business. Please update the business information on your website.

We went with a party of 10 for my nephews 21^st birthday and 3 minors to play splatter ball. Now as you notice I did give 5 stars and I’ll say why.
First off upon checking it I felt it was a very smooth check in and friendly. Yes there was a wait but we aren’t royalty so of course there are line where ever we go! Also to add to this check in we were given the Groupon Rate ($ 13 without the PURCHASE online) because I called ahead of time and what made it even better was that the sweet lady checking us in took it upon herself to ask the owner if he would honor Turbo Paintball for us. The owner did it without any questions. The Groupon is only for Regular Paintball and we were first timers so Turbo has a smaller paintball /​less impact and was PERFECT since we had more woman to men ratio!
Second I wanted to give a 3 Star only because of the process we experienced with the kids Splatterball. I for some reason pictured this fun very eventful paint flying everywhere with the kids guns … NOT the case. There was a young kid about 17 years old (if he was older I’m sorry but he was very immature and not very professional) so I gave the business the benefit of the doubt. My two 9 year old girls and one 6 year old boy complained about him. Said he was very short and kinda rude. Now with that being said I didn’t feel it was too serious to let the manger know or I would have addressed it myself. Since we as adults had enough fun and at a discount rate I felt it washed out. However never again would I allow my kids to do «Splatterball» (if it remains like this) or whatever it’s called. It was over priced (my opinion) $ 29 for a not so fun eventful afternoon. I was hoping the kids would have just had a blast but instead it was a flop!
Lastly the person who was with us at the fire place explaining to us about the do’s and dont’s … he was very serious about the activity and I didn’t mind that. Safety first right!
So to be nice yea I gave 5 stars but you managers or the owner have to do something about Splatter ball. Make it more fun for he kiddos. Maybe throw some life size targets or even popping some balloons as targets. Maybe when you do something like that we can revisit at your expense and give an updated review.

Showed up with 5 of my friends after we saw Austin Paintballs Groupon. And while the Groupon was a good deal, DONT FALL FOR IT.
Austin Paintball was, without a doubt, easily the most UNORGANIZED paintball facility I had ever been to. After waiting approx 20 mins to check in, we were told to wait by the firepit for 15 – 20 mins to get out equipment. That wait turned into a 1 hr 15 min. On top of it, none of the employees seemed to have any idea about what was going on.
If youre looking for a place to have a group get together, a birthday party, or just a place to shoot your friends with some paint, look elsewhere!!!

Had a Great time playing the day after Christmas. Weather was great and so were the staff. Cameron did a great job making sure our family had good time.

Aweful experience! The staff put 5 & 6 year olds right next to adult paintball. One of the moms got shot in the face & a dad in the arm by the BIG paint balls. When parents asked to move to another area the group was kicked off the property while cursing at the poor mother in front of his son! Very unprofessional and I don’t recommend this place.

The reviews for this are very back and fourth but I will tell you straight. For a new person this place is okay. As for there staff complete, trash. Since older people that play paintball don’t live in the area they are forced to use highschool kids and even younger. my 14 year old friend refs there but they give him a bag of paint for everyday they ref which is odd. I wouldn’t like to see them go because they are the closest decent field for the surrounding areas. Not very many «experienced players play there most people just get rental gear which is okay but it be better if it was more of a mix. Most of the people that work there are real d***s besides the manager. It’s family owned usually okay if you dont have screwed up kids. I’m pretty sure there is this 10 year old kid that doesn’t know anything, probably never even watched a PSP game in his life. They don’t have a good «pro shop» I think it should be called «just starting out paintball shop» that is more fitting. Also one other big issue they can get away with because not very many really experienced players play there is with there paint. They sell some really cheap paint for the price of tournament paint. They don’t even let you bring paint from home to use last time I checked. There excuse was because we don’t want people freezing paintball. FYI freezing paintballs isn’t even possible, if anything they wouldn’t even leave the chamber of your gun.
They have a lot of things I would fix and I’m thinking about getting a job there just to fix it. Or maybe a phone call would work. Or I would email this to them. Haha anyways it would be nice to have some teams practicing there. Oh by the way I’m not saying this stuff to not go there. It’s a pretty good place just with some flaws. So be careful for what you do. Thanks :).

Excellent customer service. Annette was awesome, and took great care of my son when he got overheated. He and his friend had a great time until he got sick. We will definitely be back when it cools off a little.

You will be better off with another competing paintball course! Unbelievably unprofessional and condescending staff. You only have one ref, while most other places provide 2 or more. There is no team flag or indicator which team you are on, so if you are coming at your opponent from anything other than straight ahead, you may get tagged from one of your teammates, since we all were wearing same camo gear.
Other courses have rest areas at each course and a way to fill up co2 tanks along the way as well as complimentary water. Everyone working here seemed like they were rookie and rude, especially our ref, who didn’t even know all games to play. The courses themselves were not particularly well thought out and felt like it was poorly put together with little more than boards nailed together. It was as if we happened upon someone’s backyard
Paintball itself is an awesome idea and you will have fun but management needs to look at how real paintball courses are run and take notes.

This place is an amazingly fun and recommended experience!!!
Was a little anxious about what to expect since it was our first time paintball shooting. So, you get there and have the safety briefing with the owner. Main rules in paintball shooting are:
–Never take your mask off, EVER, and they mean it. For your safety if you do not follow this rule, you will be escorted out, no exceptions.
–If you are 20ft or less from an opponent, you MUST give them the Surrender, surrender warning. If your rival makes a movement to engage, you can shoot, if they surrender, they will walk off the field with their arms and weapon facing upward for everyone to identify they are out. (NOTE: It is a bad call not to surrender if someone has you in his sight within 20ft hence at this distance, the paintball will Hurt and leave a mark).
–If you cannot take the blasting or are getting hammered by the other team, you can surrender at any time by, once again, walking off the field with your arms and weapon facing upward.
For first timers, I recommended staying at the back end of the battlefield, this way you can gradually adjust to getting hit. As long as you have paintballs, you can play as many matches as you want. The referee sticks to the same group until the group dissolves.
All the staff was great to work with and will answer all your questions about anything. Will definitely be going back.
A word of advice to all Unilocalers (based on some of the ridiculous below comments), paintball shooting is not for everyone, especially small children or sensitive adults. Not everyone is a shooting expert, but if your rival gets lucky, the paintball will hit you on your mask, neck, arm, ankle, etc, therefore, take responsibility and don’t blame it on the business. They do not control how good or bad you may be at shooting!!!

Good times, great courses, nice employees. My fiancée and I went with a group and had a great time. The best part is that its really set up to be fair, so your not out there getting destroyed by one group. All the girls in our group were able to play and have a good time. Thanks for the good experience.

So the different fields were decent and the experience was ok up until we began to get yelled at by an employee named Bridgette. We had a simple misunderstanding with one of the other employees which resulted in an unacceptable treatment of paying customers. We were scolded by a younger employee (Bridgette) and treated as if we were 5 years old. She was so rude to us that we decided to leave and she had the nerve to tell us «You can’t leave!». All this for a a misunderstanding which, mind you, she refused to talk to us calmly about ! I have never been treated like this before… will not be coming back.

Not an organized or safe place in general, but to make matters worse, this is a paintball business.
While I did enjoy my time (the fields are fun, the prices are ok, and the cashier was a nice person), I feel this place will go out of business shortly.
Some issues:
Family run — ok in some cases, but not this one. We walked down to the fields without our 7 year old escort. We were yelled out by the daughter for the misunderstanding (as in top-​of-​the-​lungs yelled at) — she is no where fit to be an employee here.
There are rules, but they are not posted. Safety lesson is more of ‘this is how you shoot a paintball gun’, but that is it (rules are not gone over).
Liability issues. I was never asked for an ID. We signed a waiver, but someone sinister could have just used a fake name and they would be out of business in a heartbeat.
The location. Austin paintball is not in Austin.

Alrighty… Great staff, great courses and great time. I love reading the idiotic reviews about.“it’s too expensive” or «I shouldn’t have to read the fine print on groupon»… The invention of phones and the brand new World Wide Web should really help in getting all the necessary details for an outing. Especially if its a far drive. The prices are par with every other paintball facility.
Anyways… Went for a bachelor party today, we all asked each other «why don’t we do this more often?»

My son had his 13^th birthday party here, and wanted to go back for his 16^th. He and his friends had a great time, and they got to play on some new fields as well. They all have the bruises to prove they had fun, and had to compare to see who got the most. The staff is great, and safety is a great concern. They have a full safety briefing (I guess Lori D. didn’t pay attention, as they tell you not to shoot too close), and they absolutely won’t let you play without your mask, since one stray shot to an eye will blind you permanently. But the rest of you is up for grabs.
I even mentioned when scheduling that the boys had a lot of fun playing in the mud last time, as it had rained the day before, and they said they would try to be sure it rains again. And it did! I can’t guarantee they will give you the weather you want, but rain or shine, my son had a blast.

I’m not a paintball aficionado by any stretch of the imagination. I thought this place was well run; the owner was really nice along with all of their staff. Had a taco at the truck there that was pretty darn good as well. They made it a point to ask if we were having a good time throughout the day and then at the end of the day they wanted to make sure they got feedback of anything they could do better. Its VERY rare for a business to do that. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time (outside of nursing out welts and bruises — which is expected) Other groups running around seemed like they were having fun too. Good way to spend a Sunday.
Equipment was all almost brand new and worked well, courses were all fun, not too far from town — would totally go back. They were big about safety, which is great for everyone involved to make sure everyone comes back relatively unscathed. The cost of 30 – 40 bucks per person (500 rounds) was well worth it for 3 – 4 hours of fun.
The guy who posted about the groupon-​deal needs to goto their website — right on the front page in big red lettering: Field Paint Only.
