History
Established in 1989.
The property that is now the home of Recreation Plantation was carved out of a much larger ranch in the rolling hills between Dripping Springs and Wimberley, Texas. Most of the surrounding properties remain undeveloped ranchlands. Our location among hundreds of acres of uninhabited property provides our guests with seclusion for their events. The previous owner built a concrete dam across the spring-fed stream that forms the headwaters of Onion Creek and recent improvements to deepen and clean out the tributary provide a clear deep pool and waterfall for the enjoyment of our guests. This stream is home to some of the largest blue-gill perch in the area and also large-mouth bass and catfish. Over the last 22 years, amenities such as hot showers, flush toilets, swimming pool, several large pavillions, RV sites, large lighted stage, air conditioned cabin with refrigerator, covered travel trailer with large 15′ X 30′ deck, rock fire rings, volleyball court, and more have been added.

Business Owner
Stacy is a sixth generation Texan from Conroe who spent much of her childhood in the Texas Hill Country at Camp Mystic for Girls and at her family’s summer home in Hunt, Texas. Stacy graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Recreation Administration in 1984. Shortly after receiving her real estate license, Stacy found the property that is now Recreation Plantation.
