Jeff at Jeff’s Performance Auto is awesome. My mom just moved into town and a light came up on the dash the same day the transport truck dropped off her car. I called Jeff and he agreed to get her right it, found the problem and fixed it immediately. He only does what is necessary and he is someone you can trust! Thanks Jeff, I really appreciate it.

I have not done repair business with the Jeff but several months ago I purchased a camaro from one of his long term clients that he was selling for her. The car looked great for being 20yrs old and was well cared for. After getting off to a rough start with the car overheating as soon as I got it home, I had it towed to my mechanic and called Jeff to figure out what he had already replaced. My mechanic found a leak in the water pump and Jeff said that he had recently replaced it. I had my mechanic fix it and Jeff was nice enough to refund some money for the cost of the part. I was very surprised. I guess he really may be one of few honest mechanics out there. Also when I went to give him the old water pump back for the refund I mentioned to him that the car seemed to be running rich and he was happy to suggest some things for my mechanic shop to look into. I could tell by his enthusiasm that Jeff really does love his job. Months later this car is still running strong and I cant believe how well taken care of it is. I really trust its reliability 100%. I now feel like I got a great deal. If I am ever in Dublin and my car breaks down, I would defiantly go to Jeff.

Jeff’s is amazing! My car had a problem since the day I bought it where the dealership’s guys couldn’t even fix it and I just lost hope of ever getting it fixed (It was still drivabie). A year later, I had to get a whole new transmission (after just a year!!) and they replaced it, weren’t happy with how it was driving (bcz of its’ «pre-​existing condition»), took it off to another dealership and they figured out it was a clogged catalytic converter! I dunno how the first guys missed it (probably bcz they were convinced it was just one of the sensors) but now it runs like a dream! They went above and beyond the call of duty, and I am going to be recommending them to everyone I know.

Great service and very reasonable prices! I was quoted $ 200 less than another mechanic I called. I’ll definitely be using Jeff’s Performance Auto in the future!

My family has been going to Jeff for years for a variety of cars: Honda, Volvo, Toyota and Acura. Jeff is completely trustworthy and does great work. He also charges competitive prices.

We have been taking our vehicles to Jeff’s for the past 6 years. Great shop. Jeff is honest and fair with his pricing. Jeff will not fix something that is not broken. I have had cars that he has not had the proper equipment to fix and he has not charged me for diagnosing the problem and has sent me to the correct place to get it fixed. My husband made the mistake recently of taking his truck to a different mechanic, HUGE mistake after spending lots of money at said mechanic he had to take it to Jeff to have it fixed right. We are fans of Jeff and highly recommend him.

I’ve taken my cars to Jeff for many years always with good success. He is fair and honest and will not charge you for parts you don’t need or if no repairs are done. There is no shop fee to diagnose a problem.

A few years ago, I owned a courier business and was very hard on my car. Jeff always kept it up for me and let me know up front what it would cost. Most of the time it was less than the estimate.
I bought a new car and didn’t need to go for a while, but when I did call, he always remembered who I was and was happy to answer questions. Even when my son bought his first car, Jeff looked it over for him and gave an honest evaluation helping my son avoid a disaster and find the right used car.
Now I’m driving an older car again, I feel 100% confident knowing I have an excellent mechanic who will do quality work at a reasonable price.

Usually I wait quite a bit to review an automotive repair shop, and thus it is the case with my review of Jeff’s Performance Auto.
We have been taking our cars to Jeff’s for about 4 years now, and he never disappoints. Jeff is the proprietor, and he is almost always at the front desk. The guy is honest, forthright and his prices are fair. Yes his prices are fair; this is not a backyard mechanic shop, it’s a well run professional auto shop. Nevertheless, Jeff has managed to save us money, both in the short run and the long run.
In the short-​run, he has told us when he can do something cheaper, say because he got a great price on parts from his supplier; and in the long run because he does not perform unnecessary repairs and is honest about the repairs your vehicle does in fact need (e.g. someone told my wife her car needed shocks, Jeff looked at them and determined that the shocks were NOT leaking, and could still provide service for a year or so).
Times are tough, and I do whatever repairs and maintenance fall within the scope of my limited auto repair skills and living conditions (We live in a condo); but when my cars need professional work, I take them to Jeff.
If you are looking for an honest, professional and fairly priced auto repair shop, I would recommend you to go see Jeff.

Always honest, reliable and timely. I have been taking my car (an ugly beat-​up saturn) here for about 2 years now and I have never had any issues with Jeff or his work — on the contrary: he is incredibly pleasant to deal with and has always been able to diagnose problems (oh, how I hate the most dreaded «check engine light»…) and fix them. Jeff never suggests doing anything except what is necessary and what you have contacted him about. He is FANTASTIC and I would recommend him to anyone.

If you want to come to a honest and genuinely nice shop to get your car fix, this is the place where service does come first. I’m low tech when it comes to fixing up my car. Last night my front passenger side door window just stopped working! I woke up the next day and called Jeff (friend recommendation) and he had my car serviced within 30 minutes. he understands the safety issue of my situation and did a really good job going above and beyond to get my car repaired.
When I got to his shop, the place was packed! There was no more room to even park my car so I felt bad parking it in front of another repair shop. But there were cars parked in front of Jeff’s shop already. Dropped my car off, he asked if I needed a ride or delivery service (free of charge) but I had it planned out already. 30 minutes later, I got a phone call with the total cost and estimated time of 1.5 hours to get everything I needed finished.
All in all, I think he did a great job, he’s going to be the first person you see when you enter the shop and the last person you’ll thank leaving it.
Even got my oil change here for around $ 24. He was kind enough to give me a discount off my total bill just for some gas! Definitely going to tell all my friends to come here!

I am the not-​so-​proud owner of a 1999 Dodge Durango. I realize I’m probably LONG overdue for a new car, but the idea of a car payment makes me cringe. So, despite my SUV being a ‘senior-​citizen’ on the road — not to mention a gas guzzler (sigh…) — it still gets me from point A to point B, which is all I really care about…
But! Being that it’s an older car with nearly 200,000 miles on it, I have had my share of problems, mainly with parts wearing-​out or breaking down, due to wear/​age. The first time I had trouble, 2 years ago, I didn’t know where to go. I don’t know much at all about cars, and you hear ALL KINDS OF STORIES about shady mechanics. Fortunately, a quick look on Unilocal showed glowing reviews for Jeff, so that’s where I went… and I’ve been coming here ever since.
Jeff has been awesome. From running the diagnostic test to doing repairs to pricing, Jeff’s Performance Auto is the best. Granted, not all of my repairs have been cheap repairs, but I guarantee the same repairs elsewhere would’ve cost me a LOT more than they cost me at Jeff’s. He’s honest, tells you what you need, what you don’t, and is just a really nice guy who does great work at a fair price. Exactly what I’m looking for from a mechanic.

Best service ever. Very honest and did what was only needed. I had a major service done on the Honda that included the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs and fluids.

Once again, I used Jeff’s establishment. This time to replace the steering box on my 1990 F-​150. Like usual, the job was done professionally and honestly. He is the only guy I will take my truck to. No shavetail kids with wrenches at this place, just real mechanics.

I like their honesty and the service is pretty good. We took our ’97 toyota rav4 when it just died on us all of a sudden. Had to tow it somewhere, luckily found this place from yellow pages. Didnt have much time to research or luxury to take it too far. It turned out to be a pretty decent experience. He showed us exactly what was wrong with it, explained the work to be done and the charges were reasonable. A few months after this fix, the check engine light came on. Took it back to them, they were nice enough to check it out without charging for it. I would certainly go back to Jeff’s Auto…
