I have used them for iPhone screen repair before and thought they were good. I took an ipad 3 this time but they apparently didn’t glue in the glass correctly at one corner. As soon as I held it at home on that corner, the glass bent and cracked. I left a phone message and took it back when the store opened but they would only offer a $ 15 discount on repairing it again or, oh yeah, gluing the (cracked) screen tighter, pretty much admitting that they hadn’t done it right. As someone else said, there’s no way to talk to the manager and my suspicion is that the guys at the store also repair the devices and are afraid to admit that they made a mistake. My 5 stars go to companies that stand by their work, admit a mistake and do the right thing!

Worst customer service. Improperly installed a iPhone 4S screen and it cracked. Took it back and they offered a 15% discount for a new screen. After only 2 days. Stay away. No manager contact info.

MDR replaced my broken glass on my IPad 2 and then went above and beyond to take care of a wifi problem it was having. Great place, did a great job, and was completed quickly. I recommend!

I always receive excellent service from them. I only wish I didn’t break my iPads and iPhones so frequently.

Phone screen went black after I dropped it:(. Came in at 10:15 on Memorial Day, picked it up less than an hour later and it works perfectly! (Just over $ 100, but worth it)

My iPhone 6 was cracked. I walked in on a Saturday around 1pm and my phone was fixed by 2pm. Very professional service.

After 2 months I heard a «crackling» sound from my screen; I returned to MDR to ask if they could look at it; The person said it was probably the program I was using; I took it to another shop 2^nd opinion; In 15 minutes I was shown where my screen and LCD were not properly glued in and how Mobile Device repair did not remove broken pieces and old adhesive from phone before installing new screen; I could have had a better complete repair of my screen for $ 70 instead of the $ 217 and poor workmanship Mobile Device repair did; I was very disappointed on my follow up visit where they could have looked further and found out my replacement screen was not securely installed in the first place; BTW the wobble of my screen may have led to a small crack in new screen;

I have five iPhones in my family — and we have lived in Pleasanton for 24 years. I have been coming here for quite some time (a couple years) since they are close by. I have been pleased with their professional service, schedule and quality. I have always found each person I have worked with to be well trained, and I have always been satisfied with my repair. They have fixed my iPhone’s cracked screens (they break a lot when my kids drop them) within about 30 minutes and there is no drama. This saves me money over getting it done cheaper elsewhere (and done wrong) somewhere else (which wastes time). I also don’t like the mobile shops because they are «hit and miss» over just taking it to MDR for instant service. Again, there are a lot of shops out there, but MDR has become my preferred shop. My daughter dropped my phone and cracked the screen. I was down south and took it to a cheap place there. Cracked again within two weeks. Everyone had warned me about getting it repaired with quality parts. Brought it in here and has been great for months! Not the cheapest but quality was most important to me this go round. Worked super fast and we’re really nice.

I dropped my iPhone 5s while vacationing in China. The glass was full of spider webs and could hardly read what I’m writing. I brought my phone in today during my lunch break and got it repaired within 30 minutes as quoted on the phone. For $ 108 and a very quick service, it was well worth it. This place is awesome.

Got broken iPhone screen fixed here twice !!! Both times it took about an hour and worked fine. Price is not cheap, but service was good and there are no crowns to fight in the Stonebridge Mall — nearest other place. Parking is OK but a little tricky in the semi mini-​town like layout complex its in.

My iPhone 5S screen was shattered by dropping it and I was super pleased to hear that this company could repair it. I arrived on a weekday at 9AM and they actually had the screen replaced in about 15 minutes! I couldn’t believe it! The fee was $ 100 which I thought was reasonable given that I initially thought the phone was destroyed and it was $ 500 originally! I was so relieved… highly recommend!

After years of old flip phones, I finally decided to drop some money on a fancy new iPhone 5… and then I dropped that too – screen-​side down on concrete. I’d never had anything repaired here before so I was slightly apprehensive about handing over my phone to go under the knife so to speak, but the other Unilocal reviews were pretty solid across the board so I figured it was worth a shot…
In short, this place was phenomenal. The other reviewers were spot on about Nathaniel: extremely professional and reassuring about my phone being fixable. I thought other people might have just been lucky with wait times, but sure enough they had it fixed in under an hour. I brought my phone in later in the day so maybe I just missed the busier times, but either way I wasn’t expecting same day repair when I went in so it was a nice added bonus. It’s been about 6 – 8 months since I had my phone fixed here – and it is still working perfectly – so the quality of the repair was great, too.
As far as price goes, I actually spent a little more since I bought an Otterbox case while I was there (breaking my phone once was enough), but the repair itself I think cost around $ 100, which is reasonable. Especially since they have an actual storefront you can go to instead of some crappy mall kiosk that can up and disappear a month or two later leaving you SOL if something goes wrong with your phone after.
Bottom line, I would highly recommend this place if you have a broken phone or tablet.

No stars isn’t an option. Both sons home from college and in need of repair. First just needed a new screen as his iPhone 5’s touch screen didn’t work. Had it replaced. Next couple of days only worked intermittently, had to return and have replaced again.
Second sons screen went black. Took it in and had replaced. Side buttons now don’t work. Went back the next day (without receipt) and was told he needed receipt. He responded that he was there yesterday! Guy told him they don’t keep any records. Went back the following day with receipt (which this employee didn’t even look at) and was told because it was a black screen he couldn’t prove it was working when it went in. Refused to fix!
Shame on us for recommending! Crap customer service!

Busted my iPhone 5 face for the first time and was searching for a solid and reputable company to fix it. After failing on the closest to me (review will be posted on that later) came across this place. Came in and the kid working the desk made me feel like it was no big thing. After paying market rate for the fix, left for 30 – 40 minutes and came back to beautifully intact screen. Corners got a little roughed up, but I weigh that against having a broken screen. Later my phone started acting possessed with random behavior which I assumed the screen’s sensor was out of alignment. Came back and 20 minutes later problem was fixed (no charge). I will likely bring them my iPad that I also destroyed over the same 3 day period (Kindle vs iPad and Kindle wins the title) and have them fix that too.
These guys are solid and pricing is at market level.

Went in with my daughters cracked i-​phone 5s at 9:42 am. walked out with fixed phone at 10:10 am. They go through am inspection with you before they take your phone and after they give it to you to make sure all functions are working properly. Not the cheapest but most professional and quick. Highly recommend.

July 4^th. San Ramon Central Park. There may have been beer. Okay, fine. Beers. Dancing my ass off to live classic rock on the concrete amphitheater dance floor. A quick glance at the phone, and then… The cartwheel fumble. I tried to save it, but I only fumbled it higher into the air. Aaaaaand… SMASH. iPhone meets concrete.
The zillion times I had done this before, I lucked out and avoided the dreaded smashed screen. But I wasn’t so lucky this time.
Thankfully, the guys at Mobile Device Repair turned my misfortune into a quick, $ 76.26 (out the door with tax) repair. My iPhone 4s is as good as new again.
The guys are friendly and fast. Even with a few customers in line ahead of me on this busy, post-​holiday weekend Monday, they worked efficiently and thoroughly with each customer and I was able to drop my phone off in about 10 minutes, then come back an hour later to pick it up. They ran through a checklist with me both at drop off and pick up to make sure all the features and functions on the phone are working properly.

This place is great! They are so kind and professional. I was immediately greeted by a worker who fixed my phone in less then 30 minutes. The timing was great because I went on my lunch break.
The only problem I had was that my speaker had started rattling at the end of the day. I called and the store manager Nathan told me I had a 6 month warranty and to bring it back. I went back, had another great experience and was off to dinner in no time.
I highly recommend this place for it’s location and nice staff.

I broke my iPhone 5 and they fix it in 30minutes. That’s fast service right. They replace the screen and it cost me $ 118. Fair price.
Hopefully I don’t go back to their store but will recommend this place to others :)
