The wait is extremely long on Friday nights but it’s really worth it. The Irish egg rolls are fantastic and the Fish and Chips are delicious and light. You get your money’s worth with the size of the portions. I’ll definitely be heading back here for the food.

Really good fish n chips. Cod(5⁄5) perfectly cooked with the right amount of batter(5⁄5). Tartar was delicious. 5⁄5. The tatoes seemed like they were probably just precut and then fried on sight. A minor deduction 3⁄5 stars. The slaw was creamy and wonderful 5⁄5 and they offered malt vinegar 5⁄5 and a couple wedges of lemon 5⁄5 came with the order. This was a near perfect serving of fish and chips with the only deduction for the probably-not-hand-made chips. Would definitely eat again! So doing the math thats So in keeping with my systematic review of fish n chips. 1. Fish wash white and flakes and decent portion. 5⁄5 2. Batter. Golden and crispy, not too greasy. 5⁄5. 3. Chips. OK but not amazeballs. 4⁄5. 4. Accompaniments. Plentiful lemon, Plenty of quality tartar, malt vinegar readily available 5⁄5 5 x factor. Neat bar. Attentive bartender. Absolutely crazy drunk regular a few barstools away from me that entertained me for a few. 4.5÷5 That comes out to 23.5÷25. That rounds to an outstanding 5⁄5. Please do yourself a favor if you’re in the neighborhood. Stop here, grab a Fish n Chips, with a nice cold beer. And say high to the old gal at the end of the bar, you won’t be disappointed.

Very good food and location. Reuben and sweet potato fries were great, as well as salmon BLT. Good service, good atmosphere(a bit noisy) and good food. Go.

Really good food with a variety of options. Great service! The portions were big easily enough for 2 meals. But the buffalo chicken wrap was delicious by far the best thing we ordered. Although the pretzel bites were pretty dang delicious.

Had a relatively bad experience here… we had salmon wonton(it was okay… would not recommend…), Irish eggroll(it was overly cooked… didn’t like it much either), and braised beef shepherds pie(pretty decent! Beef was delicious)… Also had some blue moon as well. Service was horrible during our visit. First, we waited for a long time to be served. We were sitting there and neglected. Other late comers were being served sooner than us… Second, they took forever to fill our water(a long time even after we finished all the food). We were thirsty most of the time. Lastly, we came in and had planned for desserts but the server never asked. When we requested for it, we were told that the kitchen is closed. Food was overall average. I might come again to just try their desserts to give them another chance… but it honestly wasn’t a pleasant visit…

Ok, to my friend Jeff, they take American Express card. Food I selected was Irish kettle dinner. A stew with typical veggies. .cabbage, carrots, and red potatoes. I corned beef and sausage. Tasted great and needed more stew or broth feel cause of work. I needed it. However, drinking was main thing to do. Selection of bottle beers were good. .the Great Lakes Burning River and Not Your Father’s Root Beer. A bit more relaxed and took my salmon wantons to go. I will update later.

Fantastic. End of review… Stop reading and eat here, you won’t regret it. And get those«award winning» Irish egg rolls. This place is located in the heart of historic Dublin with ample seating inside and a great patio outside. Some specific items below: Irish egg rolls — fresh made with quality corned beef, cabbage and cheese, perfectly wrapped and deep fried then given with a side of dressing. Perfect start to your amazing meal. Veggie burger — this comes open faced, don’t be shocked when you don’t get a top bun, but don’t let this stop you. It’s one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had. Problem with a lot of bean burgers is getting them to stick together they get around this problem by going open faced and making you eat with a fork. Great toppings and the door cream put it all together. Served up with some fries and I had an amazing dinner. Topped it off with a blackberry beer(Guinness and blueberry ale). Mac and cheese — I hated the thought of getting the kraft Mac and cheese for my kids, so I went with the house made Mac. Perfect blend of cheeses, super creamy and full of flavor. Menu says it has a little spice but my youngins had no issues with spicy. Oh yea, just a short walk from jeni’s ice cream for dessert. Can’t beat it.

Very cool atmosphere and a good place to meet up with friends for rating is based on the meal — I had the sliders pretty bland and not much taste. My co worker had the shepards pie and said it was very good tho! I’d go back based on the good service and atmosphere to try something else!

I came here for lunch at noon and had to wait for 15 mins for a table, so I had high hopes. I ordered the fried baloney sandwich and the pastrami Reuben. The baloney sandwich was good, but be prepared — the baloney is cut very thick — like ½ inch but it was good, and nostalgic for me. The Reuben was another story. The pastrami was dry and super dry on the edges, not sure if they make them in advance or what… I would return for the fried baloney but my husband said the burger was bad.

(A bit of pre-review exposition to start, if you want to fast-forward to the review skip to next paragraph) I was in Dublin and hungry so I consulted the Unilocal app. In the city search box I typed ‘Dublin’ and nothing else. I was instantly shocked with the result; I saw huge number of restaurants and pubs I had never heard of before. I was puzzled and stoked to find a gold mine of hidden food-bling here to explore! Even more surprising, I never knew a Guinness brewery, my favorite dark concoction, was just outside Columbus. And in a city named after where it’s main fac-tor-ree.. . wait a second.. . Ummmm.. . Jesus! *facepalm* Embarrassing! Meanwhile in Dublin, OHIO, this place holds court in a 125-year old building just South of 161 on Bridge Street. It looks like a house and seems like a bar, but I think the owners see it as a restaurant for a sign asks you to wait to be seated. I took a seat at the bar as I was single and looking for a quick bite. I loved what I ordered: a traditional ruben with fries, downed by Guinness drought which is decidedly brewed in Ireland.(derp). The ruben had fresh ingredients. The sauerkraut complimented the delicious corned beef, swiss, and rye bread making it a true whole and not a random combo of things. The halves where nicely stacked and held together. The fries where thick but cooked through and juicy. The 1000-island side was a bit strong though– almost authentic Irish strong – but matched well dipped on the sandwich. I loved the meal. And at a total for $ 15 it was a steal with its nice portions and the worlds must expensive glass of hops tagged on. They also have burgers, comfort sandwiches, upscale appetizers, and other choices. The beer was standard imports and domestics. Not much I could see in crafts. They have two dining rooms, a bar area, and a lovely patio. They make great use of the wood and brick Italianate fixtures of the 1880’s built space. They played classic rock at a good background volume. Their beautiful Victorian inspired menu told of the history of the place; seems at one time Dublin was a place of ruckus and drunken rioting. They should bring some of that back; Downtown Dublin is frankly a bit boring. The service need commending. When I ordered my drink they had to switch the keg, not a big deal. If a keg needs changed a keg needs changed. The bartender apologized profusely, which she didn’t need to do. But I do appreciate her concern. Take my rating as 4.9. The only downside was it seemed to have a lot if deliveries and business going on that intruded on the sanctuary for the everyday world a joint provides. Not a fatal complaint, but enough to mark it. I love the place in the end, will be back, and will update, probably to 5, when I have more time to relax a few and enjoy the ambiance.

We visited Dublin Village Tavern on a Wednesday evening. Our first impression was of a beautiful old home converted into a welcoming restaurant with a complimenting menu. Staff members including our server were nice and their ease of competence ensured the busy atmosphere felt lively rather than rushed. I ordered the shrimp po boy with a side of fries. The sandwhich was good, filling, but the fries were delicious– that perfect golden crisp. But the braised beef shepherd’s pie won over my boyfriend who graciously let me take a bite so I could wish I had ordered the same. Needless to say, we would return if/when we are in the area. Oh and for those of you who tried the pickle brine and jaguar cocktail, how did that go?

Last night, one of my best friends who now lives in another state texted me around 9, «Bars in Dublin area? Any idea? How close are you???» I quickly consulted Unilocal, then headed over to the Dublin Village Tavern. When I walked in on a Tuesday night, it was lively. There were lots of people at the bar. I saw my friend and her co-worker enjoying some beers and an Irish car bomb brownie in the dining area. I sat down and was quickly helped. I tried the Black Butte Porter and the bread and butter pudding. Both were very good! My friends were also impressed with their choices. The service was quick and friendly! All of our needs were definitely met. I’m glad I finally got to try the Dublin Village Tavern! I’d definitely come back.

I have never come here before despite living in the area all my life and now I wished I’d come sooner! The family wanted to try something different and we found this place thanks to tripadvisor. First impression: A lovely and quaint place built out of an old home, loved the interior. Our waitress was very polite and she got us a table in the front room promptly. Appetizer: I got a cup of the roasted cauliflower soup topped with rashers and scallions. My mom got the Irish egg roll. The soup was great, smooth and the toppings added just enough kick to make the soup come together. I didn’t try the egg roll but it was received well and can be described as a Reuben in a roll. Main course: The Irish Sliders were perfect! Like breakfast but with the lunch time flair. It came fresh and juicy, the char added a nice crunch. There was also a bbq sauce that went beautifully, I noticed there were raisins but it was a pleasant surprise! Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Dad got the Irish bbq burger, mom the veggie sandwich, aunt the garden salad and my brother the salmon spinach salad. Dessert: We don’t normally get dessert but we were offered them for free since we had to wait on our meals. The Irish car bomb brownie was rich, but the waffle root beer float sundae was my favorite! Definitely recommend that to anyone. Final note: Great place and great service, an absolute must for visitors and residents! You can expect me to make more visits in the future.

One of the more popular places in «downtown» Dublin. I think it is funny when people use the word downtown in association with a small suburb. But, this is in the downtown area of Dublin where you can find small shops and a good selection of nice dining experiences. Dublin Village Tavern is an Irish restaurant bar that offers a good selection of beers on tap with above average food items. They have a bar area as well as a regular dining area. The all wood interior is dark and inviting for a late dinner with a few drinks. They have a couple televisions that were showing sporting events the times I have been here. I have had the buffalo chicken wrap which was very good. They offer the side of fruit which is a nice healthy option. DVT is a less fancier and more laid back option in downtown Dublin but it is by no means divey. Expect good quality food and service.

Place was good. Onions rings no longer on the menu but you can still order them. Keep in mind you get an appetizer size so share or eat as a meal cause there filling. We had the salmon BLT& the bologna sandwich, both was good but the salmon was a bit over cooked. Had a couple of mixed drinks on the menu & they were very good, not watered down at all. Went on a weekday evening, still pretty bus. We were seated right away but I think we just got lucky so be prepared to wait 5−10min. Parking was actually super easy. Service was exceptional, even the host was attentive.

Went here for lunch this afternoon for the first time. I got the fish and chips that comes with a side of cole slaw. The 2 pieces of beer batter fish were huge! They looked fantastic and I could not wait to try them. They were piping hot… just out of the deep fryer. They were very greasy and the batter was very bland. The«chips» were fresh and fantastic. I smothered them in malt vinegar. Yum! The side of cole slaw was cabbage and mayo only. Flavorless. Even with pepper sprinkled on it… did not make it any better. Took only one bite of it. I should of gotten the burger like my boyfriend suggested. He said his was really good. Guess I will try that next time. The atmosphere was good. They did have 2 tv’s on with the game but it wasn’t so loud that we could not talk to each other. The waitress came by often to check on us. I will give them another try and get the burger as first suggested.

Ambiance is very much that of an Irish tavern. Excellent attention to detail. Including historic pictures if the building. Outdoor seating is in a historic area so lots of excellent things to look at. Fish & chips are excellent. Brilliant seasoning on fish & chips are a tad crispy yet a tad soft. Really the perfect chip. Decent draft selection.
