Dulles 28 AutoWash

They took me on a Monday at 5:32pm when they actually stop taking people at 5:30pm which was so nice of them. I got the $ 26 package and am very satisfied. Their car wash does an excellent heavy duty job on the outside of my car. They did a great job cleaning my tires, sprayed every window to clean it, wiped everything down inside, and did a good job vacuuming my labs blonde hair in the car (they even took the carpets out to vacuum underneath and on top of them). They also vacuumed my seats which was much needed. Its really hard to find good service in NOVA. I have been to car washes in Arlington and Woodbridge which both had done a halfway job. This is my new go-​to. Bonus– at one point 5 people were cleaning my car! Loved it!

I can’t believe I paid $ 31 for this car wash. They only wiped down half of the interior and the seats were still dirty. On top of that I gave the girls a tip. UGH! Never again.

This is your typical high volume low to middle of the road quality car wash. The adage — «you get what you pay for but never more» is alive and well here. Adjust your expectations accordingly and you wont be as disappointed in the end result.

This car wash scratched my new Lexus ES 350 and denied it.
Also after going through wash it was still dirty. The interior cleaning was not done and we paid for it. If you have a nice car do not take it to this wash. Your car will come out scratched.
If could give no stars I would. Horrible

This is a mediocre at best car wash whenever I bring it in. The wait times are sometimes very long and you still find your car is not that clean.

The man who greets you at the booth in one of the most welcoming people I’ve ever known. He always has a smile and suggests good practices to protect your car. Thanks

This place lives up to its terrible review. I didn’t even have a chance to get my car cleaned here because the customer service is so horrendous. I emailed to see about setting up an appointment to come in and the representative was not only unhelpful but short and frankly seemed rude with her answers. I’ve decided to go elsewhere.

Amazing car wash the service was great the guy standing in the both was honest about what I really needed I asked to get my wheels clean he said it will be something like 6 dollars and said ’ if you want to pay you can but I don’t think you need it they are not dirty.’ They have done a great Thank you

Probably the worst carwash to be in on Sunday. Very slow charge $ 31 for deluxe &10 job. Very short stuff.

Very inefficient system. No one person running the show. Takes a long time to get the interior cleaned.
Owner did contact me after this initial experience and I give them credit for that.

No where near the best car wash. I’ve been here too many times and always question myself why I went there again. As much as I don’t want to drive into Leesburg just for a wash, there is a much better place I will start going to.

Basic car wash is fine but the ‘ultimate’ interior and exterior cleaning is not worth it. I had to clean the inside doors myself after they were done.

I am not going to go on a rant, but the service and quality is the worse in the area. The guy that you pay in beginning is a worthless employee. Need new manager

Hey, this is a great car wash… despite the slight upcharge at the end of the snow storm. I guess these guys have realized the Loudoun county tax collectors are out to get their cut too… Anyway: The staff on the exit end is always ready to please. I often grab a rag and wipe down my car with them. You can really tell the line leaders want the job done right. OF COURSE there is a language barrier, but thinking about it, how many places in NoVA today isn’t there? So, the smiles on your face will ensure you get one on theirs. YEP, it matters! slow down, look around and smile, and in the case of Dulles 28 Auto Wash, you’re sure to get a clean car out of the deal… Keep your receipt for a $ 1 off your next wash. cjp

Awful customer service AND charged extra to power wash (rinse) off the car before hand because the salt «will ruin THEIR equipment!» We went through and the machines stopped halfway through after the soap was all over so we had to wait in line again to go through one more time and then the rinse worked. Will definitely stay true to Station Auto Wash in Leesburg from now on no matter how far out of the way it is!

Sorry, poor attention to detail. For $ 38.00 I just expected more than me walking around the car pointing out the dozen or so errors and oversights. There are many local car wash places I would use before I would recommend Dulles 28 Car Wash in Virginia.

My Letter to Dulles 28 Auto Wash
Hi,
I was at Dulles 28 Auto Wash today and had an exceptionally poor experience. Poor enough that I will never use this car wash again, with the exception of a change in management. That may be the only way to change the quality of this establishment. As I looked up your contact information, it was very sad to see that Unilocal has Dulles Auto Wash as a 2 out of 5 and Google reviews have it as a 2.8 out of 5.
My issue today started off amazingly simple: My white 2008 Toyota 4 Runner has a pronounced lip on the top hatch and a pronounced bumper at the back. This caused a cove at the back that the cleaning devices at your establishment did not reach and left a significant amount of dirt on the back of my truck. I just returned from a trip to Canada and there was lots of road dirt and grime on the vehicle. I have lived in NVA for many years and use both 3C’s on route 7 and Leesburg Station Auto Wash and neither have had this issue.
Upon exiting my truck, the lady who was directing vehicles came over and I asked if she could have the back of my SUV washed with soap and water to remove the dirt. I explained that if the attendant wiped the dirt as he was drying my car he would scratch it. She said their machine do not reach around the back of trucks. She said that someone will come and clean it. When I asked how, she said they would put Windex on it and wipe it off. Yes, you heard me correct… Windex. I said that is not satisfactory as that would just move the dirt around on the back of my truck and likely scratch it. I said it needed soap and water, then they could dry it. She said she would call over the manager. She was not dressed as an employee but was in a ¾ length nice black coat and looked like she might have been related to the manager.
The manager came over. I reiterated my request for them to clean the dirt with soap, water and a bucket. He said we do not have buckets so we will spray it and clean it that way. I said that would be like using sand paper on the back of my car. He looks at me says «Sandpaper»…and I say yes all your spray will do is move around the dirt and scratch my car. He asked me to be patient and I would be satisfied. I again asked him not to clean it with a spray but to wash it with soap and water. He again said you will be satisfied when we are done. I went over and sat with my wife who asked for a replay.
He called the attendant over and spoke to him in something other than English so I could not understand the instructions, but the man then sprayed the back of my car with a light blue solution and started to wipe it off. I watched as the attendant used one cloth, sprayed the dirty parts of the back of the truck and wiped to his heart’s content. Not once changing the cloth. He then used the same solution and cloth on the exterior windows, on the lower lip of each door (ie where dirt collects), under the hatch etc… He then used the same cloth and solution on the interior of my SUV.
When our truck was ready the manager did not come over to see whether I was satisfied. My wife and I simply got in the truck and drove away. Unfortunately, the truck now smelled like dirt and cleaning solution. At that point, I was even more upset and decided not to going back as this would have been futile given the managers inability to satisfy me on a simple issue. My SUV stunk all day and started to make my wife feel nauseous. When we returned home after completing our errands we had to Fabreeze the interior to reduce the odor. The smell was so bad, it almost seemed like someone wrung out their rag in the car somewhere.
I have used many other car washes in Northern Virginia and have never had a poor experience. My cars and truck have always been clean and typically have a nice fragrance that I get to choose, such as Vanilla or Pina Colada at the Loudoun Station Auto Wash. And very important, the work staff treated my vehicle with respect.
I paid $ 31 to get my SUV cleaned, not to have dirt moved around scratching my paint job and have the interior smell worse than when I brought it in. The cost of getting my truck cleaned is never an issue, but I do expect if I have a legitimate issue and explain it to two people at the facility, including the manager, that they will be respectful of my request and of my vehicle. I am just glad I did not bring a more expensive vehicle to this location.
I don’t think there is anything you can do to make this situation better as I will never use Dulles 28 Auto Wash again.

I’ve brought in my car here several times and they have always provided good service. The price is a little high however, the service out weighs the cost. I’ve gone to other places and the service hasn’t been as good.
I’ve witness a customer tipping a $ 20.00 because of the good job.

Poor Service all around… this is my 5^th try to this car wash and now I am sure the service is consistently poor and not just a one off.
It’s no wonder that all the other car washes are packed on a sat afternoon and this one is empty… Wash is too fast so bird poo and other debris are not softened or removed… they just wipe the car off and leave these marks behind… Once I got home simple wiping removed all the bugs and or road debris marks. No scent was offered or provided as indicated in your deluxe package for $ 28.00.
I purchased the premium wash that includes door jams and it seems that does not include rear doors or the trunk jams. I still have crumbs in my open storage space just in front of my cupholders and my cupholders were not wiped out.
I have been to leesburg station wash and for 5 dollars less they remove all the bugs and vaccuum my trunk and provides 100% better job… I will make it a point to ensure that everyone I see in the ashburn Brambleton area knows that your establishment offers sub par service for a premium price… you will never see any of my families 5 cars again nor anyone I get an opportunity to educate. You may think I am but one customer… but I have heard this before amd will now be one on the many I am sure helping to put you out of business so hopefully an honorable establishment can take tour place.
Did I say anything to anyone… nope… the last time I did… I got allota attitude and no resolution… waste of time… pooor people skills… poor management and and no suprise a very poor end product.

Reference my other reviews for area car washes similar to Dulles 28, but I stand firm in my opinion that it’s hard to find a non-​DIY, non-​handwash facility in Loudoun and FFX counties that’s going to garner anything above a 3-​star review.
Fortunately, I didn’t notice any of the scratches that other reviewers have mentioned, but we had to send our small car through THREE times to receive adequate water/​soap/​brush coverage to remove very standard amounts of dirt/​dust on the rear hatch and bumper. Sounds like they need to adjust their sprayers to accommodate more than just huge SUVs.
Also — the alignment rails in a car wash — why oh why? Especially if you (the customer) is already in the car as it is tugged through the tunnel! The reason for my displeasure with these rails is their tendency to scrape the insides of your wheels or, worse, the outside. Plus, if you are parking-​challenged, depth-​perception-​challenged, or just clench up at the pressure of trusting the car wash guy to help «guide» your steering onto the rails, steer clear of Dulles 28 (no pun intended).
Pricing is similar to Flagship, at about $ 12 for a basic exterior wash, no vacuum. You’ll probably still have soap dripping from your mirrors and dirt on your rear bumper, but your wallet won’t hurt too, too much.
