Zena is the rude person I have ever met!
I have been going to this place for a couple of months now and I’ve had a couple of little problem here and there. Like them not confirming my appointment. Last Friday, I had my normal waxing appointment and I walk in the room and laying about the table and waited a coupled minute for Zena to come in. Once she walked in and I told that I wanted my chin and upper lip done. she refused to it. She continued to yell and scream about how I was wrong and she doesn’t want me as her client. How I’m a lot of work and ect. I was completely disrespected! I asked for the manger to call me and she still has not called. I will never go back to this terrible and unprofessional place. I tell you don’t waste you money on rude and unprofessional place like this

My experience was simply fantastic here and you have to try this place! I am pretty new to surrounding areas and wanted to have my leg wax done badly for summer so decided to visit this place. I just walked in and just had to wait few minutes before Ruchi came and greeted me in waiting area. She was very friendly and extremely courteous! She did excellent job with my waxing and it was just painless! The place was very clean and receptionist was very welcoming:)

The first two visits were fine. I had to move my third appointment to an earlier time and the girl didn’t move it. No apologies, a horrible attitude, I waited for 30 minutes — exposed on the table– and decided to leave to make my appointments. I was actually shocked at the lack of customer service and accountability of the front desk and Zena, the waxer, wasn’t helpful either. I also found her to be pushy. I will not be returning.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE — I will NEVER return to this establishment.
This was my third visit for a brazillian wax. Zena was the waxing specialist. The first visit was pretty good. Although painful, it was my first time. One thing I do not like is that they ask you to undress and get on the table, but there is no cover while you are waiting. The rooms are cold and you feel very exposed, just sitting there waiting.
During the second appointment, Zena left me on the table to attend to another «walk-​in» customer who needed a quick waxing. Again, with no cover. I was a little bothered, but realized that if I were a «regular» customer, I would want the same treatment. She did an okay job, but Zena did miss a couple of areas. I figured I would do a better check during the third appointment so that I could take care of it before leaving the appointment.
The third appointment was on a Saturday morning, and I had to move some things around to make sure I was on time. I came in and was told Zena would be right with me. Fifteen minutes later, I asked the girl at the front desk what was happening with my appointment. She replied that Zena was running a bit late. First, fifteen minutes is not a «bit» (five to ten minutes is a bit), second, why didn’t she say anything when I arrived, or even better, call me beforehand to let me know so I could come in later or change my appointment? I guess I wasn’t a «regular» customer yet, where Zena would have been concerned enough to come out and tell me herself that she was running late.
I was in the sitting area, explaining to the girl at the front desk that she could have said something or called me beforehand. She offered no apology and kept wanting to give me excuses of why Zena was late. The sitting area is a bit away from the front desk, and I’m sure I was speaking loudly because of the distance as well as the fact that was I getting irritated. Zena must have heard me and suddently appeared. I then expressed my frustration directly to her. I mentioned to her I did everything I could to be to the appointment on time and I asked why I wasn’t notified that she was running late. Instead of an apology, all I got were her excuses. She shuffled me to a room and accused me of «scaring the other clients!» She left the room for a moment and then came back and asked me if I had «calmed down.» That was it. I dressed and left.
While I am sure I was loud as all conversations carry in this establishment (you can hear normal conversations in the rooms as you walk in); I am sure I was not yelling. Zena’s excuses were that it was Saturday and they are always busy, another client was late, and there were walk-​ins. While I understand that these things happen, all I wanted was 1) a genuine apology; and 2) the courtesy of a phone call when they knew they were running late, or at the very least, notice when I arrived that I would have to wait longer than fifteen minutes so that I, the customer, could choose to reschedule or wait. A simple, «I’m sorry, we should have done that, and we will make sure we do that if Zena is running late next time.» would have kept me from getting so irritated.

Seriously so good.

Zena is amazing! She does a great job on my Brazilian and it’s almost painless! She books up fast so schedule in advance!

The professionalism is on point here. I enjoyed the way this place is set up, it’s extremely well organized.
You walk in and are greeted by a friendly woman.
The lights are dim, it smells great. And has a great feel to it.
I went for a Brazilian wax.
This is not my first time having this done however it was my first time having it done this way. They do not use «soft» wax nor do they use strips to peel off the wax. Instead they swipe a thick thick layer of wax on you and wait about 2 – 5 minutes to dry and thicken up and peel it off just as that. No strip, no pulling back the skin, no nothing.
I have a high pain tolerance however I was in so much pain. The way it’s just peeled without any strip or without it being cooled was on the most extremely painful experience ever.
The service and treatment was amazing.
The woman was very sweet about it all.
If you come here please keep in mind it is not like your regular wax.

I do not recommend. First off the woman at the front desk could not make change of a 20. The lady had 17 dollar service and cashier kept saying 2 is correct. Went on for 10 minutes. Had Brazilian was taken to room and told all off from waist down. Nothing offered for privacy. The door does open to hallway where people walk by. The wax used is not good. I was burned and now have blisters. I will not return.

Brand new place at Dulles Landing! Very friendly staff when you walk in! Zina is AMAZING go see her. She is very professional, nice and makes it a pain free wax session. They do not double dip. It is a very clean environment. You must come here for all of your waxing needs. You will not be disappointed! Zina is very knowledgeable and makes it so comfortable for you. I have finally found my long term wax guru!

I stopped by with no appointment today to have my eyebrows waxed. Sophia did a great job! Staff was very professional and friendly.

Very nice staff. Unfortunately their «professionalism» does not meet up to par.
I went for a Brazilian wax. The waxing is not high quality wax. They used hard wax for the entire process. It was very painful, not only is it painful, it doesn’t pull out all the hairs. The nice lady who waxed me said that my hairs were too short to be pulled from the root (like ANJA said) but she also said it was because it was my first time… I’m sure that’s not a reason, and my hairs were plenty long. The amount left behind was too many, even if it was «my first time».
I wonder if the hairs weren’t being removed because she kept applying the wax in the opposite direction my hair grows? i thought the wax was suppose to be applied in the same direction so when the time came to remove the wax, it would be in the opposite direction.
The Brazilian includes hair removal between the buttocks, and she half-​assed it (no pun intended), I didn’t realize it until i got home to check, also there was wax left over all over my crack! it made my crack stick together. ew. I just wanted the process to be over with. Their wax experience is lacking, it falls short. my waxer said she has been doing it for 7 years i think… i find it hard to believe. Horrible 1^st time experience.
on another note. Before the actual wax process, i think it would be nice if the waxer were to let the client undress (preferably with some wipes) by themselves before entering the room. my waxer stood there, almost watching me. it made me very uncomfortable.

Do not recommend. The ladies here are really nice and welcoming, however, I wouldn’t recommend Mint Waxx to anyone. First off, I am not a newbie to waxing, I’ve had well over 50 brazilian and leg waxes and I wanted to give this place a try since it’s close to my house and much cheaper. Unfortunately, it was such a poor service. The waxing is not high quality wax and is surprisingly painful than other waxes I’ve tried. Also, not only is it more painful, it doesn’t pull out all the hairs. The lady who waxed me (no doubt a nice lady) but she kept repeating that my hairs were too short to be pulled from the root (which I get, and yes a good number were (also it’s one way of them subtly saying they’re going to do a half-​ass job)) but I’ve been to other waxing places (specifically Red Door Spa) where their brand of wax was able to efficiently pull even the short hairs, so that was no excuse. Secondly, the brazilian includes hair removal between the buttocks, and she completely skipped it, but I was so irritated and in pain, that I didn’t even remind her to do it, I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. Overall, they lacked experience in hair removal and the wax was the poorest quality I’ve ever experienced. If you want a high quality and less painful waxing experience, go to Red Door Spa (it’s worth the price).

Mint Waxx is one of the latest businesses to crop up in Dulles Landing, and it provides waxing annnnd threading services. A dedicated hair removal salon may seem different, but this type of business is growing in popularity these days. Many women opt to get their waxing after their mani-​pedis at nail salons and spas, but Waxx is great if your sole focus is hair removal, especially in harder to remove places, like the bikini line. Of course, there’s always the much needed, but dreaded, upper lip. I have yet to try their waxing services, but I’ve gotten my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and was really happy with the service.
My eyebrow shape is really nice; it opened my whole face up. My upper lip was smooth as a baby’s bottom afterwards. And best of all – no post-​hair removal breakout. I started threading about 9 years ago, and one of my main reasons for going this route is because threading is more natural. However, I’ve found that some threaders, well-​meaning, of course, have applied ointments and gels afterwards that seemed to aggravate my skin. Anyway, I didn’t have this problem here.
But honestly, who wants to get their bikini threaded? That’s where waxing comes in. Everything comes out quickly, though my guess is not painlessly… However, the staff at Mint Waxx are specialists in hair removal, so I’m thinking better them than an at-​home set, like Nair. Furthermore, Mint Waxx is a compact but super bright and relaxing space, which makes your visit more pleasant. They have individual rooms, which are surprisingly roomy and clean, for waxing and/​or threading. The front-​desk receptionist was really nice and helpful. While I waited to see my threader, I also sampled some of the lip glosses that they sell and got myself a cool brow gel.
A clean and serene business. This is now my go-​to place for threading and waxing.
