Located inside Great Wall supermarket food court area. Great milk teas and the bobas is consistently good. They also sell baked goods here. I bought some a few times we were here and they were good. Don’t expect friendly service though because the girls behind the counter always seems to be in a bad mood, that’s the reason for my 3 stars!

Chatime is a stall located right next to Humble House. I always order Chatime with my meal from Humble House, but several times that I have been they have ran out of the red bean flavor bubble tea, which is my favorite! It’s a small disappointment, but not a big deal. The pricing is similar to Sweet Hut and Quickly, two other great boba joints. I’m also friends with the cashier, who is a sweet high school girl who always gets my order correct. I strongly recommend the red bean boba, with grass jelly and pearls.

Conveniently located within the food court at the Great Wall Supermarket, I was excited to find a Chatime here, as I was a fan of Chatime back in Boston. After my meal in the food court, I ordered a bubble tea drink to go while I shop. This place is cash only, as many bubble tea shops are. Prices are decent. I paid under $ 4 for a large passion fruit green tea with boba. You can ask for ½ sugar(Chinese: ban4 tang2) or 30% sugar(Chinese: wei1 tang2). There seemed to be a language barrier, as the cashier couldn’t understand my basic order in English. Fortunately I was able to order for my friend and I in Chinese, but this could be a huge service issue for the many non-Chinese speaking customers. The tea itself was refreshing, as expected.

I use to be a huge fan of Chatime when they first opened, but things have really gone downhill since then. They stopped measuring the amount of ingredients like sugar that they put in their drinks and do it by eye, which causes many inconsistencies in the taste of their teas. Their quality has become worst ever since Sweet Hut has opened. The one good thing that I would come back here for is my love of their pudding — it has great hints of vanilla and is light and great as a topping. The owner/workers are stingy, so don’t expect them to remake a drink for you. One time, they gave me a messed up cup that wasn’t capped correctly and spilled all over my hand when I picked it up off the counter. I asked them for a new cup and got a dirty look as they reluctantly gave me a new one.

My 2nd choice, if I can not get any bubble tea from Kung Fu tea(功夫茶). Their black tea is quite strong, which I like, it can keep you quite jittery after drinking though. I would buy one if I go for grocery at great wall mkt.

Don’t waste your time at this place. There’s definitely better bubble tea places in that area. I ordered a banana milk tea with boba and received boba and grass jelly. I didn’t ask for grass jelly because I really hate it. The boba was really hard and tasted old, like it was made the day before.

Service is terrible, the cashier is STUPID. I ordered a large yogurt black tea, the girl making the drink told the cashier in Chinese that there is only enough for a small one, the cashier turn around and said large. The girl reminds the cashier two more time that she only has enough for a small one, but the cashier waived her off. I, who is born and raised in China, told her in Chinese, if it is not enough, then just get me a small one. I should of just walk away and go to sweet but instead. It is a shame that what this place will do so they can made 50 more cents out of you and how stupid she is to think that just because I don’t speak Chinese. I will never come back to this place and I will suggest you not to due to their BADBUSINESSPRACTICE.

The chatime peal milk tea is okay. The cashier provided a horrible customer service. She gave me attitude and when I pull out the money, she snatched the money away from me rudely.

We wanted to give this place a shot while dining at the food court. The quality of the milk tea was good, cash only though. The experience was definite THEWORST among all the bubble tea places I have been to in Atlanta. How that one girl cashier/server brought her entitled condescending attitude from China? I dunno. Born and raised in China, I understand the quality of service industry is sub-par over there compared to that in the U.S. Servers can be really rude sometimes, and it’s not until you ask to see the manager that they will be nicer to you and answer your question. It’s ok to do that in China, but please, 50 points off for all Asian small business owners just because of her attitude. She looked angry, inattentive, impatient, just the least you would expect from a nice cute bakery shop. My boyfriend wanted an unsweetened black tea and he asked me to ask the server what kinds of tea they had. She just raised her chin and pointed at the menu and was like, all the types of tea are on the menu, you can take a look yourself, and then proceeded to chatting on her WeChat app. If you haven’t been to Great Wall supermarket, it was catered mainly to Chinese customers. Like, is that why she expects you to put up with her manners? I dunno. First of all, don’t just talk to me INCHINESE and EXPECT me to translate when you obviously saw me with another non-Chinese speaking customer. Secondly, quit freaking chatting on WeChat when you are working at the cashier and assume people won’t notice. It’s super unprofessional and rude. The other girl who was making the tea was nice. I feel bad that she had to work with someone with an attitude like that. On a second thought, if she looks unhappy at her job, she probably hates her job, and she is stuck to work there, whereas we are just stopping by for 3 minutes and we are out. Good luck to her. I genuinely hope Chinese businesses in the U.S. in general can realize the value of good customer experience. Having grumpy customers who won’t ever return vs. getting good sales and tips, it’s up to you to pick.

This review is based on their coffee service or lack thereof. I understand that they are known for bubble tea and pastries, but they also offer coffee drinks. My husband and I ordered two plain cups of coffee. The only«sugar» they offered was sweet’n’low and they didn’t have any cream. Huh? I haven’t seen sweet’n’low since circa 1998 and it was legacy back then. They said that they had one cream and gave us ONE mini moo creamer total for our two coffees. I opened the mini moo and it was visibly curdled and bad. Frigin gross! Those fake creamers have a decade long shelf life, so it was scary to see a curdled mini moo. We just took our coffees home so that we could use real cream, etc. The use of mini moos and sweet’n’low is already the hallmark of a place that should not serve coffee, but having no real sugar or at least a few mini moo creamers was pretty pathetic. C’mon!

I never really complain about things at places because I myself know what it’s like to be in service position. In fact for almost 10 years. My mom seems to have always ordered from here when she grocery shops and I have tried this once when visiting her. Quality of the drinks were nice, but my three stars missing goes to the lady who showed lack of respect for genuine questions, and the lack of respect for customers. I always feel understanding when workers feel unhappy because of personal things, but I do NOT understand the lack of control of her emotions in front of customers. After being asked whether the taro drink was powdered or fresh, she gave the reply«doesn’t matter, if you drink it ten times or a hundred times, it’ll be the same!» with an attitude. My mother simply wanted to know! And when asked for a small plastic bag, she gave her the evil eye and yanked off two, with the story telling loud snap of the bags. I would like to thank the other lady working with her for having such patience with us, as I do believe my mother isn’t the least picky. But the girl with such a bad attitude I don’t believe it’s a good influence on the place or possibly on the other workers in the future.

What’s to not love about this place? The teas are flavorful, the price is low, and the service is fast. Now the only con I would give is that it is located in a busy Asian supermarket called Great Wall, which can make it hard to find for people who does not shop there often. Oh and it’s CASHONLY. My go-to drink is the Black Milk Tea with Red Bean and ½ sugar! The drinks are freshly made and very comparable to Kung Fu Tea, but cheaper.

My bf requested a mix of oolong and green milk tea, ½ sweet(a custom order not on the menu). My bf thoroughly enjoyed it, but I didn’t really find anything special about it. The sweetness level was just right. They have some baked goods too.

Ive been to other chatimes around the world but this one is so-so. Got the traditional popular milk tea with boba but the taste and aftertaste was a bit off. I think its because here they didnt make it fresh to order(it was stored in containers and poured out). Cash only at this location. Price is the same as everywhere else but in ATL, you can get better for cheaper. I’ll probably only order here for convenience when I am shopping or eating at the great wall supermarket, otherwise, i probably wouldn’t get boba here lol.

Chatime have been opened for probably more than a year now and I have tried them out when they first opened. But I didn’t get around to writing a review till now. During those time I have tried their signature milk teas, Jasmine green milk tea, green tea, green milk teas, Thai milk teas a nd the oolong milk teas. Out of those my favorite would be the Jasmine green milk tea and the oolong milk teas. I like it best with their tapioca. And for right now, the first topping is .50cents more and the second toppings is free. Kinda confusing to me lol. This place is cash only. Also most of their drinks is medium $ 2.99 and large 3.50−3.99 $. Compared to all the other bubble teas place in Atlanta, Chatime is aokay! :)

I got the mango flavored green tea with lychee. I don’t eat sweets much so I thought it was too sweet for me. I liked the combination of mango and lychee aromas though. Again, it is cash only. Order came relatively quickly. The signs were in Chinese but they had English translations, too. The cashiers spoke good English. I may try something without what I presume is syrup next time. Maybe I’ll ask if they could cut down on the sugar as well.

This place is located in Great Wall Supermarket. So if you’re trying to find Chatime and the GPS says you have arrived but it’s actually in front of a grocery store, yeah, it’s inside at the food court. The girls that work here were pretty nice and suggestive since their menu is pretty vast for a mini location like this. Their menu is posted right in front of the registers where you pay if you’re confused if one even existed. lol. All I saw as I approached this place from the opposite end were advisement posters with about a dozen or less bubble tea options and thought this was it. :) Their milk tea with red beans was interesting. The date was pleasantly surprised as he tasted this since I didn’t tell him what it was. lol. It wasn’t bad, it just had an interesting flavor and texture. There were two kinds with the difference being the milk base. I can’t remember exactly which one I had, but it was interesting nonetheless. This is a pretty good place to finish off a meal. They have pretty unique flavors, good service, and fresh ish tapioca pearls. If you purchase your drinks and go, then it would be better since this food court has limited seating. Perhaps since today is Father’s Day then that would explain the ridiculous crowd that was here, but then again, all the Asians do go grocery shopping during lunch time on the weekends. But do remember to carry cash as this place only accepts cash as their method of payment.

I have just gotten the green tea(matcha) latte, which I like quite a bit. I always ask for less sugar and less ice and replace the red beans with boba. No complaints, as I have ordered it several times and will do so in the future at(probably) my favorite grocery store, Great Wall. My sisters got taro milk tea, which both hated due to the powdery nature of the tea. I have not tried this flavor(and admit that it is not my go-to) but did not experience this with my preferred bubble tea. Because my sisters have sworn off buying from here again after their objectionable experience, I insisted that they try mine, to see if I could convince them to venture into new flavor territories. They both admitted that the green tea was good and well-blended. Cash only, just as a reiteration. I think the bakery stuff has to be paid on the other register, which can be annoying and confusing for someone who wants to pay for all goodies at once. Efficiency is not up-to-par to other more-seasoned bubble tea joints, but luckily, it was really slow the times that I was there. Nice-enough service. If you think you’ll frequent the place, get one of the frequent buyer cards stamped. Who doesn’t like free stuff?

4 stars for the tea, 3 stars for the customer service. 3.5 stars. I went shopping at Great Wall supermarket the other day and noticed this place in the food court. I love milk tea so I decided to try it out. I ordered a large green milk tea with tapioca and a small taro milk tea with grass jelly for my mom. Even though I got two different sizes, they ended up costing the same. I brought it up to their attention since the taro milk tea was supposed to be cheaper according to their posted menu but I was given some reason about it costing more because they don’t use taro powder. Whatevs. I didn’t make a big deal out of it since it was only .30. My green milk tea was good. I liked that it was made to order and not pre made. The tapioca was on point. It was soft, chewy and sweet. The taro milk tea was different since it was thicker than usual but I still liked it. The grass jelly was good. I’d try this place again the next time I shop at Great Wall but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. Note:It’s cash only and they charge extra for additives!

Chatime is a Taiwanese bubble tea and snacks store with over 1,000 locations worldwide. They just opened their first Atlanta area location about a week ago(late November 2013) inside the Great Wall Supermarket food court in Duluth. In Chinese, «cha» means tea, so the name of this business literally translates as «tea time.» Chatime shares space with Mai Bakery, a Chinese bakery selling mostly baked buns and pastries. They have 3 new flatscreen TVs showing off their extensive, colorful tea menu. This is another Asian bubble tea café along the lines of Sweet Hut, Honey Bits, Quickly, Lattea, Boba Mocha, etc. The storefront looks like a mini Sweet Hut or White Windmill with baskets filled with various breads, pastries, and baked goods. Behind the counter are tea and coffee-making equipment and ingredients. There are over 70 beverage options available encompassing teas, coffees, juices, smoothies, and more. They come in two sizes, regular and large. Typical prices are $ 2.99 per regular milk tea and $ 3.49 per large. Jelly drinks and smoothies are up to a dollar more expensive. Toppings are 50 cents each and include tapioca pearls, grass jelly, egg pudding, coconut jelly, and red beans. One thing I really like about Chatime is the flexibility they give you when it comes to sugar and ice/temperature. You can request 0% sugar, 30% sugar, 50% sugar, 80% sugar, and 100% sugar. With ice/temperature, you can request no ice, «less» ice, «more» ice, warm, or hot. I guess you can make these requests at any bubble tea place, but Chatime explicitly states it on their menu.(Note: Sweet Hut has similar sugar options on its menu.) With a plethora of different flavors and beverage types, it can be hard to choose what to order. The menu has several recommendations. I tried a few different teas over the weekend and thought everything tasted great. The teas I tried were the standard Pearl Milk Tea, the Superior Milk Chocolate Tea, and the Matcha(Green) Tea Latte. The first two are listed as milk teas while the green tea latte is listed as an «Oriental Pop Tea,» probably because it contains coffee in addition to milk. The teas were made to order and the bubbles(tapioca pearls) were fresh, soft, and appetizingly chewy. Each drink had tons of bubbles, almost too much. If there was a contest to see which bubble tea store in Atlanta gives you the most bubbles, Chatime would win. The Pearl Milk Tea was a traditional, subtly roasted/nutty-flavored tea. Good. The Superior Milk Chocolate tea tasted like a tall glass of classic American chocolate milk, except with tapioca pearls. Yum. The green tea latte was ordered with only 30% sugar. The reduced sweetness was evident and the strong green tea flavor shone through. It’s nice that Chatime offers green tea on its menu because not all the bubble tea stores do. I’m interested in trying their mousse on a future visit. Service was fine, though a little slow due to the influx of customers. There was a steady flow of customers from 2pm-5pm on a Sunday afternoon. The place seemed adequately staffed. Cash only. They are currently running a grand opening special: Buy 2 milk teas, get 1 regular pearl milk tea free. The promotion ends 12/23/2013.
