When I walked into the restaurant, I thought it was some kind of dance club. Then I was assisted by nice server. When I got to my table, I couldn’t stop looking at Kpop video. I loved their food, music vibes and beer tower!

By far the best Korean BBQ I’ve ever had. This place has the best service and it’s all you can eat. You go here with an empty stomach you’ll leave satisfied. You have to try this place if you haven’t already.

This is where I can visit to have quality meat, all you can eat buffet, variety of choices, good drinks, for a decent price($ 23). My favorite are all spicy meat, and signature iron age soy beef. I don’t think«hanging tender» is worthy a try. Is it basically the signature iron age soy beef without any season The beef soup is also good.

If you’re a fan of K-dramas, then you’ll probably think this place came straight out of one. Iron Age looks misleading on the outside(and even in the hallway entrance), but as soon as you walk in you feel confused about whether or not you entered a restaurant or a club. I absolutely love all-you-can-eat K-BBQs, because you’re in control of when your food is ready. And they’re perfect for when you’re really, really hungry. It’s also great for groups, because you can take turns cooking the meat and socializing at the same time. They bring your meats right to your table, and you can just get to cooking. Don’t worry if it’s your first time, the waiters/waitresses are willing to help you get started. I enjoyed all of their beefs(i.e. brisket, bulgogi, etc.) and thought they were all marinated and seasoned well. I recommend trying all their beefs first if it’s your first time. They were definitely juicy once they were cooked through. I will advise that since the grill is small, you probably shouldn’t cook too much meat at one time. Just remember to not cover the holes around the grill, because then that shuts off the flame and annoys your waiter. Also, when you notice the grill to start to blacken from cooking, ask to change it. It should be changed often, so it’ll cook the meats more efficiently.

I like their food I really do I just wish they remembered to bring it out. I went with my kids who really enjoyed cooking the meat but my issue was with sides. I asked for rice multiple times before we got it and the noodles we never got even though we kept asking, the tables around us got it so not sure the issue. They did bring the meat fast each time which was nice and the garlic pork belly was amazing, but the waiting for everything else just ruined the majority of it. The update to interior was nice just wish the service was up better. I think an issue was we had three different servers in a small area, where one might be better suited.

My standards for this place weren’t high, even at the view parking lot. Needless to say, I was blown away once I stepped inside and walked through the vestibule. Once you enter, the place has a nightclub atmosphere… There’s load music, people mingling around the bar, large screens projecting music videos. It was not the type of restaurant and dinner experience I had in mind. But I’m not complaining. The wait was reasonable considering the flood of people who were dining. During my wait, I kept patience thanks to the Korean Pop entertainment. It was a culture shock moment. I would’ve enjoyed my wait much more had the bar not been so dry. The alcohol menu is very limited! I was disappointed, even more when I found they’re slushies pairings! It is odd to know the bar has slushies, especially considering this is a BBQ joint! My drink of choice with steak is alcohol not a slushie! Cleanliness isn’t impeccable but I wasn’t horrified and at least sat comfortably. The servers were amazing and for what it’s worth, attractive. The teamwork is authentic along with the service. My waiter didn’t have an issue with answering our questions, he guided us well, replenished our servings without our request, he kindly inserted himself to spruce me and my partner’s meal. I commend the efforts and every tip. They’re a transparent, hip, and diverse bunch! Now the food, nom! It was like heaven in my mouth! The leaf salad(by the way could use more dressing) and potato salad exceeded my expectations. The meats we chose were brisket(everyone’s recommendation) and pork. It came with sauces(maybe 4) and a small side of veggies to grill. The veggies was mostly for flavor infusion. We ate within 10 minutes of sitting. Surprisingly, the stove top cooks fast! Watch to not overcook or burn the meat. I love my meat well-done and thanks to the fast cooker, some of the meat was too done and tasted burnt. Don’t hesitate to ask the server to change the plate you cook on. It burns after each cook and reusing the same plate may ruin the experience. I was impressed and loved the energy and food! I’ll return with a big appetite.

This was a lot of fun! The side dishes provided was yummy, I would of loved some salt and pepper to go with some of the meat though. Anyways the reason I’m giving 2 stars is for customer service, atmosphere, and noise. Let’s start with the noise. It was so loud like a cafeteria. The venue had a loud echo so it felt like being back in a cafeteria at a high school. Yes people are loud but blasting k-pop videos in the background didn’t help. Was this a restaurant or a dance party? Maybe it was a club? The neon lights everywhere did make it feel like a club the noise was similar to being at club opera. Like I would of loved if they’d just turn that off, mute it? Or have a Korean drama playing instead. You can’t hear the person across from you without shouting, no one would hear you. Now that wasn’t too bad I just learned quickly to deal with the noise. Moving on to the star of the night that gives this place 2 stars. The service was terrible, it took a really long time to get seating for two people, and when we were being shown to our table we spotted large rooms completely empty.(Was that space meant for larger groups or birthdays? There were several large groups of people who left because it took so long to seat them.) Anyways back to service, it was terrible. Not because any of the(waiters? Were they waiters?)(They didn’t act like waiters I couldn’t tell. normally the server tells us their name for the evening and said they were going to be the server for the night… got none of that. I was so confused.) The service wasn’t bad because they were rude(they were nice) but because we asked them for several things and they never came back with it. Our first server was Sam sung… was. Samsung?((Really?)) He brought us drinks, explained it was 23 per person and we can order whatever we wanted on the menu it was all u can eat. Cool, right? No. My husband asked him for a fork. He said«yes, sure» then 20 minutes past. A guy named Tommy started serving us(I only knew his name because I read his name tag). He didn’t introduce himself… just checked the fire pit, exchanged it, cut the meat and kept it moving. I was confused. as hell. We eventually had to stop the guy from rushing to ask for a fork and kimchi. And I sat there laughing at my husband who struggled with chopsticks I told him next time we’d smuggle tortillas so he could eat xD(he’s Mexican that’s how we eat normally at home). Anyways the new server got him a fork but never the kimchi. Then eventually asked us if we wanted something else when he stopped rushing for a bit. We told him he never brought us the kimchi… like then we ordered alcohol which is extra so you know they remembered to bring that but didn’t bring the pork belly we asked for at the same time. We didn’t see that server or anyone else ever again. So the experience was fun to try something new I love Korean food but the service was nonexistent. It seemed more like the servers?(I’m sorry I do not know what to call them because they were not servers?) Were in a hurry to seat us and in a hurry for us to get the fuck out. The 2nd server Tommy made me feel uncomfortable and we understood how we were supposed to cooking our own meat but he came multiple times to throw our meat in the fire pit. He also cut the meat for us which was nice but he never spoke to us. He just came up to us, grabbed shit and kept it moving. It made me uncomfortable that he didn’t speak each time he came to do tasks. he didn’t introduce himself as well. He was nice, when we asked him to get us things but it didn’t matter how polite he was if he never brought back what we asked for. So I guess for 23 dollars per person we didn’t get«all you can eat» I feel like we wasted money. I’d rather pay for the food I ate vs. «All u can eat» because we ate about 10 dollars worth of food. This was our anniversary, my husband knows I love Korean food, so he took me here it was our first time going to places like this so it was special and romantic that he remembered something about me without me asking((so fucking sweet I know)). We felt really unwelcomed. My husband even made a joke like«oh you want a fork? Nah bitch, you in our house you gon’ use these chopsticks.» I enjoyed using chopsticks and being with my husband but a little service would of gave this place 4 stars. Hell, It would of gotten five stars the terrible echoey cafeteria club atmosphere wasn’t so terrible that I couldn’t stand it, we just wanted food. Overall I’d rather of paid for all the meat I was given and swap out that 23 per person all u can eat crap with real service. I could not tell who worked there, who we could speak to, to get food, drinks, anything. We won’t be coming back because we would ask for food and never receive it. I’d rather pay extra for service, and a less loud club. Cafeteria? Where were we?! Ha!

I’ve only been to Iron Age a few times since it first opened. Three times before the renovation and once after. I really enjoyed Iron Age before all the changes. It was a unique environment at the time, decent meat and sides, and free soft serve! However, my most recent experience was subpar. All-you-can-eat is great, but I consider the quality of meat at Iron Age to be below average. I used to love all their meat selections, especially their pork belly. However, during my last visit, the pork belly was tough, the bulgogi too sweet, and my table ended up sticking with the brisket for the remainder of the meal. And is there no longer free soft serve, or did I not see it on the way out? Soft serve was a small part of the original experience, but it was disappointing to leave without a sweet end-of-meal treat. The quality of the meal decreased, but props to Iron Age for looking even cooler than before. Environment and ambiance are the only praises I have for Iron Age at the moment. Gives off a modern/hip vibe(kind of like a fancy bar/lounge). I might return again for the relatively cheap all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, but with so many new Korean BBQ places popping up around metro-Atlanta, Iron Age needs to step up its game.

I have been to Iron age a lot. Yes there a lot of mixed reviews. I have a love hate relationship with this establishment. but I cannot say its the worst Korean BBQ place in Atlanta or in the country. And yes there are better places. This place is open late on the weekend. But expect to wait up to 30 mins to get a seat. Here is why this place is not bad. Ambiance and Pricing. They recently moved and expanded there location triple there ca-passivity. Inside is more of a dark night club feel. Flat screens showing K pop and K rap in HD. There are many different style of seating. Communal, private, booth and party style for guest up to 20. Menu is flat rate AYCE23 dollars for dinner with 20 different meats to choose. Lunch is way cheaper around 15 bucks with fewer meat choices. The Food and Service. Meats available range from beef brisket, pork and chicken. The server will alloy you t select 3 from the menu first and then one at a time. Bachan or Korean sides will be served but you might have to ask for missing items like rice or kimchi or soup. Now they server may come bye time to time to grill the meats or you can do it your self. Staff is not always attentive what make this place the best place for Korean BBQ. Beer and wine is available. Prices for beer are also cheaper if you order a beer tower with the Korean BBQ. The verdict. Iron age is more of a gateway restaurant for people new to Korean bbq. This place is aimed for the younger crowd. I have taken many newbies here and loved it. They are American friendly and the staff will kinda guide you if you dont know what you are doing. Pricing 23 dollar and 20 different quality meats make it a good value for AYCE korean bbq

This was my first time at this type of restaurant and I found it to be interesting. The waiters were helpful. There were items on the website that were not available like fried rice. But all and all, it was ok. You cook your food on the little stove at the table and choose all different types of meat. The beef soup was awesome!

This is a must stop for either lunch or dinner every time we come to Atlanta. The K-Pop videos playing is a great touch and goves this a unique night club feel. The service has been good each time I have been, I’ve noticed bad reviews on that but it might just be certain servers. I love the spicy pork bulgogi as well as the beef brisket! I have enjoyed myself every visit!

Ate there for the lunch buffet. It was a good selection of meats and chicken. The brisket was basic, but good. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. The bulgogi with pineapple, is something you can skip. Also the spicy chicken wasn’t memorable. The rice was a bit too over done, but that could have been just a bad batch. The atmosphere was modern and hip, a great place to take a date or hang out with a couple of friends. Note: no reservations were needed for lunch, but dinner can get pretty packed. Honey Pig would be my choice for dinner if you can’t get a reservation.

Iron Age used to be a good place for groups to go and enjoy the food and simply have a good time. Seems like the management had changed or something, because the lack of service towards the customers and the food quality had changed as well. Might have been that day where they were understaffed or something, but our table had an incident where we found a dead mosquito in our rice paper dish(see photo). Once we notified the server, he just took the dish away and didn’t say anything to our table. No apology from the manager, server or the cashier and they definitely did not leave a good impression to our group. Probably will not go there again. better off somewhere else.

I used to hanging out with friends over here a lot, but not anymore after they got remodeled. The meat just not taste the same as before, so just little disappointed. However, the service is great and they got more seats.

First thing first, the birthday song is too loud. I really mean it. It is too loud and should be considered dangerous! The service is okay and is nothing special. The iron age steak and hanging tender is probably the best. Makes me sad how this place doesn’t offer any soup or egg steam as side options. Breaks my heart!

I heard they got remodel and became a lot bigger. True, it’s very big and nice, and they have a new menu which serves awesome quality and flavor meat. However… two is the most i would give to them. Seems like they forgot the fundamental… service. The servers gave us those attitude while we were setting down.(I understand we have 20ish people, its hard). First, my friend was asking for water cuz she never got hers from the very beginning. The server told her: can you let me pass those side dishes first(with some attitude) ?? So we waited for him finished passing all the sides and he just left and came back later with no water. I asked him again while he finished whatever he was doing and he said ok but still came back with no water… eventually… my friend just wenr direct to the servers station and asked for water… guess what, she didn’t get her water instead… the other server told her please understand, you only have one server, go sit down. In the end we did get the water… after over an hour fighting… Not only the water… they were also rude while they refill sauce… They count the bill wrong and blame on us and eventually find out that’s her mistake… also double charge my friend’s bill… manager… i hope you see this and retrain your employee. As a server, you don’t have to tell me how busy you are… just said«hold on one second», and make sure you come back and get what customers need. If that is hard … you should consider getting another job…

It got even better! If you want to feel like you just stepped into a Korean club or a KPOP video, GOHERENOW! They have expanded into the old Sydney Buffet space next door and it’s freaking HUGE. Like warehouse impressive. And then they renovated into a restaurant club with a huge freaking bar and wait area. The new grills have side vents right next to it so you don’t leave smelling like Korean BBQ. I just love it. Even the basic $ 23.xx include non-meat options like seafood and rice cakes! And the meat quality has gotten significantly better! This is my go-to Korean BBQ restaurant!

This was my first time getting Korean BBQ(without my Korean friend that does it all for me when we go together) So, I didn’t know how it worked. I wasn’t really hungry so, I didn’t want anything just drinks which doesn’t matter because they will charge you for all you can eat anyways. Then they didn’t explain the menu the waiter just said«Choose three» and after a hour my friend got tired of eating the same three things. Finally I said, «can he get rice or vegetables or something?» and the waiter then says it was included but earlier he said he can only choose three items. In addition to that, the server barely came around and we were pretty much ignored. It took 30 minutes to finally get water, and another 15 after that to take my friend’s order. It was disappointing.

Iron Age has gone to the Space Age. If you’ve been to Iron Age before it was renovated, you won’t recognize the place at all now. Now, you feel like you’re eating Korean barbecue inside a club. The blurry projectors that played Kpop music videos have been replaced with large, bright high definition screens. You’ll sit in big, more comfortable booths. The dining area is now in the middle instead of by the walls of the restaurant. There’s also plenty of space to wait at the front. The menu has changed. No more option A and option B. The single option, which is $ 23, has a much larger offering of meat. The brisket and pork belly are still on the menu, but now there are a lot more choices for marinated meat. My favorite meat now at Iron Age is the soy steak — tender beef, good sauce. I also like the soy chicken, which has a light and sweet flavor. The spare ribs could have been moister, but the meat still came cleanly off the bone. Banchan selection has grown a little bit from before the renovation. Some were good, some were okay. I didn’t like the rice cakes a lot. Kimchi, salad, and potatoes were average. The japchae was nothing out of the ordinary. Marinated meats were definitely my favorite here — my friend and I ordered the soy steak 4 times. Food alone, I’d still say Iron Age is about 4 stars. The fifth star is for the huge upgrade in the environment and the outstanding service the night I was there. In fact, I’d go as far to say that our waiter was the best waiter I’ve had at a Korean barbecue restaurant. He was very polite and brought things out very quickly. In addition, he was very knowledgeable — in addition to helping cook, he told us the best way to cook each of the meats. I’m definitely hoping for the same waiter when I come back the next time. Also, you can get a coffee or slushie dessert if you bring your receipt to the dessert bar next to the entrance.
