Our focus is to offer quality early care and education to children from birth to 12 years old in a nurturing and safe environment. At Legacy Academy we are responsible for the «whole» child. Our curriculum includes experiences with real works of art and classical music. Brain Power activities are also incorporated within the daily routine to help all our children, especially infants, make those brain building connections. Activities that Challenge and Activities that Strengthen are designed to individualize our program so that all our children can grow and develop at their own unique learning rates.

History

Established in 2004.

Legacy Academy Satellite has been offering quality education for the last 11 years! Now under new ownership and management since March 2014, the school has been fully renovated and has received many awards from Legacy Academy Corporate including «School of Excellence» for 2014. Our school has been offered to become «Model Center» for Bright from The Start’s Georgia Pre-​K starting on 2016 as a result of our excellent G-​Pre-​K program. Our school has been known for it’s bilingual teaching method as 50% of our teachers are Spanish speakers.

Meet the Business Owner

Denise T.

Business Owner

After graduating with a bachelors degree in Psychology in 1998 from Florida International University, and specializing in Substance Abuse and HIV counseling at the University of Miami, Denise went on to pursue her career in the mental health and substance abuse field. After growing her family her priorities shifted and that led to her interest in Early Childhood Education. After taking a Preschool Director training at Miami Dade Community College, she soon realized that she should have a school of her own. For the last 6 years she has been co-​owner of Legacy Academy at Berkeley Lake and along with her husband and management team have lead the school into NAEYC accreditation, have recently achieved Quality Rated status from Bright from the Start and have received numerous awards from The Legacy Academy Corporation. Now they are also proud owners of Legacy Academy Satellite since 2014 and are on their way to replicate the success they have with their first school.
