This is a great Planet Fitness location. I have read a lot of complaints about other PF locations, but I think this is one of the better ones, probably because of the area it is located. Very clean, lots of machines, it’s rare that you have to wait to use anything. People are nice and I always feel comfortable. If you are a normal person that just wants to get, or stay, in shape, which I think most of us are, it’s a great place.

Okay I know a lot of people are gonna hate on me getting a membership here but there are more pros and cons if you know what you are doing here and if you are not a serious lifter, bodybuilding, iifym bikini competitor, etc. Just for the typical person just staying in shape/get back in shape. So if you fit the category I just described here are the perks: 1. CLEAN! Sanitation is crucial at the gym. Fungi and warts are not fun to deal with. 2. CHEAP! You seriously cannot get a cheaper deal than here(okay, maybe youfit also) but this place is more convenient for me(I can run here from home if I want for a pre/post cardio) Its like $ 20 per month for 12 months. Cant beat it. 3. NOWAITING! Since no one takes planet fitness seriously aka no one goes here which means I can hog all the weight machines to myself! MWAHAHAHHAHA! Try doing that at Golds! 4. PLENTYOFPARKING! Due to #3. 5. DECENTAMOUNTOFWEIGHTS. Okay seriously, if you want to do cardio you can go anywhere to do this(at the park, on the sidewalk, jumping jacks anywhere etc). But weights really you have 2 choices… body weight or physical weights. Adding extra weights will not only give you faster results but make you much stronger than just your body weight(a bit limiting and not time efficient after a while unless you want to do 20 – 30 reps). Really all you need a few machines and know how to take full advantage of them and your good. 6. NOJUDGEMENT. Not that I care what people think of me but I could tell that this gym since no one is in shape except maybe that random 1 – 2 people no one can judge you if you are the average looking jo. Even the employees are sitting their eating hardees hahahahahah(is it cheat day?). So if this will make you feel more comfortable than seeing meatheads you will like this place. I think I was the only one in their with a preworkout drink(I cant be the only one who needs c4 or aminos right?), bcaa for during, and whey protein for after(okay, I admit I had some lenny and larry cookie after to, Im human! lol) 7. Does that lunk thing work? I honestly tried to set it off today but didnt(I am not sure it works at this location! yay!) Aka I recommend this place for 1. Your the average jo 2. If you are on a budget 3. If time is money for you(like me) and dont want to wait for machines and know how to make the most of this place. 4. If you feel more comfortable at a gym where everyone else probably average looking to. For me, I choose this place because I basically got 2 people a gym membership for $ 20 a month, its convenient to home, time efficient, and has all the weights I need. Sold.

I don’t know if all Planet Fitness locations are like this one, but this gym is REALLYNICE. The price is absurdly low for what all you get, and compared to other gyms. The things going for this place are: 1. The AIRCONDITIONING works awesome, and there are gigantic ceiling fans to keep the air moving. It’s a really comfortable environment for working out. 2. It’s CLEAN, like military clean. There isn’t a speck of dust on anything that I have seen. Thy are consistently vacuuming and wiping. 3. It’s NOTCROWDED. Parking is a breeze and there are never more than a handful of people in the gym at one time. 4. The cardio machines/weight machines are all heavy duty commercial quality. I’ve been in a couple mom and pop gyms where it looked like they bought their equipment at sears, everything here is built to last. 5. Lastly, the staff has been helpful and friendly. The environment is very casual at the gym, you’ll see all ages from college kids to older adults. I used to go to a huge mega-gym with a thousand people and kids running all over the place. This is a much calmer environment for getting away and being able to focus on exercising. Very satisfied so far!

I was a member at this location for several years and while I was never particularly impressed, it was cheap and I only needed somewhere to go about once a week when it was raining or too cold. But cheap is really the descriptive word here. The equipment feels cheap and just a couple years after opening half of the headphone jacks didn’t work properly and the equipment started looking worn. Not to mention that the staff was totally sub-par. They would start turning things off a full 10 minutes before closing time and when I called to ask about a lost personal item at one point, they clearly couldn’t have cared less. But the real«cheapness» of Planet Fitness was on display when I tried to quit. They nickle and dime you by making it as difficult as possible to quit. Be aware that you have to send a certified letter or go down there in person and sign a form just to terminate your membership! It was easier for me to quit cable and we all know how difficult that can be! And they still charged me the«annual fee», days after I had signed my termination form. When I asked for a refund, they hid behind«corporate» despite the fact that these locations are all franchises and are individually owned. They obviously could care less about individual members. I guess when you’re operating a business on being the cheapest, it’s all about volume and not about service. I don’t normally write a lot of reviews, but I felt it important to warn others about this experience. I will also say that I switched to the new LA Fitness just down the street from this PF location and I love it. $ 30/month, no sign-up fee, no «annual fee» and no contract. And it’s an amazing gym with very friendly, attentive staff and high-quality equipment.

Just signed up a week ago. Tony at the front desk was very helpful. Signed up for the black card membership so the wife can get the tanning and we can use the massage chairs. I don’t recommend this gym for heavy weightlifters and people wanting to build muscle fast. No grunting and clanking weights shows their intention of the«judge free zone». If you’re interested in cardio and improving overall tone and health this gym would be a good fit for you. It’s a change of pace from previous gyms I’ve patronized, but I like it so far.

Great, New, Clean Gym. Cardio and more Cardio. Machines and did I mention Clean. Since it is new, it will take some time to get some decent staff hooked. The staff is a bit odd and aloof.

I don’t think for the money you can beat it. Not much room for free weights, but it’s a great value. Always cleanly and the staff seems friendly.

Awful if you want a serious workout. If you want to work out once or twice a week to just feel better about yourself then you can go here but you cannot get a serious workout in. The employees here will actually make you leave if you put too many weights on the bench press. I was only doing 185 and they made me stop because they said I was«Intimidating the other people trying to work out.» They also don’t let you make any noise. Now, I am not a grunter who makes loud noises like I am lifting a Boeing 747 but when you are lifting heavy weights, you tend to make little noise but this is unacceptable here. They will actually revoke your membership if you are caught grunting two times. This is ridiculous!!! I just cancelled my membership but when I was working out I was more worried about getting thrown out than my workout. If you are serious about working out then don’t join this gym. It really is just for fat women who want to spend 10 min a week walking on the treadmill.

Planet Fitness offers a huge amount of treadmills, plenty of weights to workout with, and friendly staff who greet you when you walk in. Michelle K. covered the main points about Planet Fitness, so if you’re around the neighborhood, then definitely visit this gym, and if you like it enough, sign up and workout here. Their plans are cheaper than other gyms, as they have a $ 10 per month plan, in which you workout in this specific location, which is what the majority of people here choose, and it’s without a contract as well! I chose the $ 20 per month plan, which allows me to bring one person a day to workout with me, and I’ve used it several times with friends who wanted a good workout session. The plan also includes use of a massage chair for five minutes only, even though they advertise«unlimited usage,» which I find to be false advertising. The gym claims to be 24 hours a day, but it’s really open at those times three days a week, with the other days being open for for less than 24 hours. Overall, it’s a great gym to workout at.

So it’s been over a year since I’ve been a member of this gym and visiting another, reminded me that I really need to sit down and write a review for my current gym. Having been a member of another large gym chain with all amenities back in Chicago and have worked for them as well, I was surprised that in the south, my previous gym chain barely exists so I had to seek other options. I chose this gym because it was convenient, had the cardio equipment and weights that I seeked and was ridiculously CLEAN. I mean this gym is as clean as it gets! There’s not a day goes by that when I am actually hitting the elliptical or lifting weights, one or more Planet Fitness staff members are dusting, vacuuming, or wiping down ALL machines. It’s a great thing to see and even better, it encourages the club members to follow suit. I wanted to take time to type out Planet Fitness’s mission statement because I love it! Here it goes: {“We at Planet Fitness are here to provide a unique environment in which anyone, and we mean anyone, can be comfortable. A diverse judgement free zone where a lasting, active lifestyle can be built. Our product is a tool; a means to an end; not a brand name or a mold maker but a tool that can be used by anyone. In the end we will seek to perfect this safe energetic environment where everyone feels accepted and respected. We are not here to kiss your butt, only to kick it if that’s what you need. We need you, because face it, our planet wouldn’t be the same without you… You belong!”} I’m a huge fan of effective and inspirational company mission statements. Reading the above last year was one more reason that I wanted to sign up. Well that and the fact that the monthly rate is hard to beat. If you just want a clean, friendly, welcoming gym where it promotes a «judgement free» zone and you can workout amongst others trying to lead a healthier lifestyle, Planet Fitness would be your perfect gym! (This particular gym offers personal training but does not offer a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, group ex classes, a pilates studio, indoor track, racquetball/basketball courts or juicebar.) If the above are not a necessity for you when you hit the gym to «sweat bullets» then Planet Fitness would be ideal. This particular location has an amazing front desk, sales, personal training staff and general manager! Everyone here will always greet you, get to know you and advise you and support you in anyway needed if you ask for it!(So yes, they do follow the mission statement to the«T.») Besides, where else can you go to a gym where they have a «LUNK» alarm, prominently displayed in their heavy weights section.(See attached photos.) #Yelp 365 — 3⁄365
