While competing with other All You Can Eat KBBQ, I would have to say it was disappointing. Dining was a disaster soon as we were seated. We were seated next to the bathroom, I mean who does that. The interior is decent, old and traditional Korean atmosphere. It gives a nice vibe and relaxing dining experience. Now the customer service was decent but sort of annoying. The waitresses was way too attentive, you should give the customer some breathing room. The food was actually good and well worth the money. Gave us variety of side dishes and complimentary soy bean soup. At the end, busy or not, if you are dining at a restaurant, you are a customer. We literally waited 30 mins for our check. I would not suggest dining here.

All you can eat Korean BBQ at a reasonable price! Love the atmosphere and the interior design of the restaurant! Also, love how it’s open late too! Great place for gathering and company!

Nice sitting and eating outside of restaurant. The service is ok, but not greatly amazing. Their spicy mixed seafood was very good.

Sun and Moon is a pocha(old school korean pub) style restaurant and I usually order pocha entrees rather than ayce bbq when I come here. Last night we ordered bossam(boiled pork belly), spicy pig feet, spicy monkfish, and spicy intestine hot pot. Bossam, which is one of the staple pocha food in my opinion, was okay but it seemed like they decreased their portion a bit. Spicy intestine hot pot’s soup tasted good but the intestine itself was little too chewy for my liking. Spicy monkfish was good as usual. Finally, my favorite of the night was the spicy pig feet. Although they could’ve used more meat, the marinade of the dish was delicious and it was perfect to mix in the rice with.

This is my favorite spot to go on Friday. Servers always welcome you like you visiting your auntie’s house :) I usually order unlimited brisket and pork belly, it used to be $ 9.99 but now it’s $ 14.99 but not too bad compare to Similar korean restaurants around the area. My other favorites are Sauna squid, it’s roasted squid covered with spicy sauce, it’s great with Soju!!! And I love their Corn cheese, it’s a simple mixture of mayo, corn and mozzarella cheese but I just love this dish. If you looking for a drinking place to go in duluth area, I definitely recommand this place!

I went here over 2 years ago and I loved it. 2 years later, that wasn’t the case. We went here because Iron Age was an hour wait and we were starving. We were seated promptly. They gave us menus, but it was entirely in Korean. Luckily I went here before and ordered for everyone. Food was alright, and then we asked for this spicy bean sauce. They brought out one small sauce bowl for 3 people. We liked it, so I requested some more because we didn’t use the sesame oil they gave us. The server says no, scoop out the sauce and put it on your plate. Okay. So, after we finish over half the bowl, I requested it again to a different server. She says no, only one per table. That’s when we got angry. One small sauce bowl for 3 people? At any other KBBQ it’s unlimited sauce refills! I was appalled. We probably wouldn’t come back just because of that. Overall, food was decent. $ 14.99 for AYCE beef brisket & pork belly. FYI, pork belly isn’t seasoned like other KBBQ places.

A friend and I decided to try Sun and Moon on the recommendation of another friend. When we went. we were seated promptly. We thought it was off to a good start and the décor was pretty interesting. It went down hill from there. The menu given to us was in all Korean and we both did not understand it at all. We waited for someone to take our order and pressed the service button numerous times and no one came to our table. At first we thought the staff must just be busy but after about 15 – 20 mins wait just to order, we decided to leave and go to Star Daepo instead. Never coming here again. Not a great first impression at all.

Where do I even start? We tried to go to Iron Age but there was a 2 hour wait on a Sunday evening, this place is conveniently across the street and it’s the same price. We were all non-Koreans and felt we were discriminated against and received really bad service. We waited at the front area to be acknowledged and seated, this took about 10 minutes. Then waited another 20 minutes for our order to be taken, we had to pull a lady aside to take our simple AYCE-all you can eat, order. The banchan was very simple: radish, anchovies, bean sprouts, and sautéed greens in spicy sauce. They also had tofu soup with the AYCE order. The meat overall was pretty good, we enjoyed the pork the best. However, they only had one plain sauce. We can tell it was very busy but it seemed they did not want to bother with us at all. We had to ask numerous times for some waters. After we finished the plate of meat we were full but even if we wanted more, there was no one going to stop by our table to refill. What was more frustrating about the entire experience was the servers we interacted with did not know barely any English. They spoke to us in Korean to be seated. They could not understand what we wanted to order so we simply pointed to the picture, if I hadn’t been here before there is no way of my friends could know what to order. The signs are in Korean but the menu with individual plates had English subtitles. Also, we tried to asked for a different sauce and we had to repeat ourselves and make hand gestures. Not sure if they were suppose to hand us a check but we waited so long that we got up to go to the counter, well that got their attention. Food 3⁄5 Service 1⁄5

I love this place! Definitely my favorite of all the korean ayce bbqs. It’s only $ 15 for beef brisket, pork belly, and pork neck. Quality of the food is good and they give you the purple grain rice if you ask for rice. Best of all, the service is awesome. They are friendly and quick unlike Iron Age or Star Daepo. The scenery is pretty cool too!

Uhhhh… I really don’t know where to start. I have been to all of the AYCE/Korean BBQ places in Duluth & I would rate this place the lowest. First off, I don’t know why this place is called Sun and Moon. The décor is just so weird & way off. I felt as if I was eating in a packed jungle. I literally sat next to brooms and pumpkins. The place was quite messy in my opinion. For dinner, I had the all you can eat brisket and pork on the portable grill. The meat didn’t really feel fresh & I can see the ice that are still left on the brisket. The side dishes are okay. I really like the Seaweed Salad and the soup. I don’t know why most of the Unilocalers say that the price here is cheap or $ 9.99. When I went with my friend, it was only the 2 of us and for the all you can eat it was around $ 18 a person. The total came out to be around $ 40. I don’t know if their prices went up or not, but I feel like it’s just a tad bit cheaper than other places. not much. Ohhh the service here is straight up horrible… every single time… it doesn’t matter if they’re busy or not. I only noticed the same 2 ladies working here. I don’t think they like their job because every time I come I always feel as if they’re slamming the food on our table… not to mention if you want a re-fill for the side dishes they don’t look too happy. Overall, I don’t think I would be back. The quality of the meat doesn’t meet my standards & I feel really congested coming here.

The service here is beyond imagination, in a… Horrifying way. I and my group of four came here checking out their AYCEBBQ. The beef brisket was broken apart in my mouth. I think because they didn’t unfreeze the meat before-hand. A chunk of beef brisket/ice was spreaded on the hot pan. Of course quality of the meat was effected. Pork belly was unseasoned, as opposed to Iron Age where they have so many flavors(wine, garlic, soybeans…). Usually, when your meat is so plain, you make up in the sauce department, make it flavorful! But No! The only type of sauce they have is sesame oil. Period. It seems they don’t season their sauce at all. It’s really like you just dip your meat in oil. Usually, I’m not one to drag on about restaurants. I know they all work hard and want to do a good job. So when it comes to food quality and everything else, there’s always rooms for improvement. But a terrible attitude? I’m sorry you made such a bad impression for your restaurant! When my group finished our meals unsatisfied, when the bill came, we decided to put down 12% of tips instead of the normal norm. The cashier, stood there, insisted me to put down 15%… I mean… I have never ran into situation like this in my life. Granted, they all worked hard. The ambience is cozy. Their banchan spread was adequate. And I’m sure their a-la-carte menu has some delicious choices other than the buffet. But hey… Your attitude cost me an opportunity to come back and try other stuff. What a shame. Hospitity never looked so ugly like this before.

Well I am not going to discuss the atmosphere and ambiance. There are enough reviews on that. Right onto the food. Very authentic and tasty. Just the way it is back in Seoul pocha places. We had pig feet jokbal which was good and my favorite odol bbyau which is the white bone in pieces of pork. Excellent. Side dishes are good and it seems the owners really care about taste. I’m in heaven.

Went here twice because their all you can eat option was cheaper than other places. Service was pretty bad. And they kept pushing alcohol on us but none of us were drinkers. Both times, I had to hit the bathroom immediately when I got home. Needless to say, you get what u paid for. Obviously, the quality of meat there is terrible and my stomach let me know. Will not eat here again because i don’t like diarrhea. lol

A friend of ours introduced us to the Sun and Moon Café and we did the all you can eat pork belly and beef brisket. It’s a really good deal at $ 9.99 if everyone at the table orders alcohol, or its $ 14.99 if not. We ordered soju and a few beers with our meal. The restaurant is has some really interesting decorations and the outside is kind of jungle themed. The service wasn’t great but wasn’t bad considering how busy they were. The meal comes with several Korean side dishes and some of my favorites were the pickled bean sprouts and kimchee. They also give you a soup with the meal which was delicious. The meats aren’t the best quality but they were still really good. You can’t expect high quality meat when you are paying $ 9.99 for AYCE. They bring you a portable gas skillet/grill to cook the food on which was a little strange to me. My favorite Korean BBQ places use coals under the grates in the table, but the only places I have been to in Atlanta use gas. None the less, the portable gas skillet cooked the meat just fine and everything tasted good. They bring you 2 sauces, soybean and sesame oil with salt, and I really really liked the sesame oil. Also when it came time for meat refills, they brought out huge portions. I know there are other AYCE Korean BBQ places in the area that I will have to check out, but I really liked the Sun and Moon café. We have been to nicer Korean BBQ restaurants and paid a whole lot more, and while the food was a little better I still think you are getting a much better deal at this place. I will definitely be back.

Sun and Moon Café is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. You can come here and get unlimited chadolbaeg(beef brisket) and samgyupsal(pork belly) for $ 14.99. If everyone at the table orders alcohol, it’s $ 9.99. Minimum alcohol requirements include a bottle of soju(Korean liquor) for the table or two beers per person. If you don’t drink, the $ 14.99 option is the more economical choice. The restaurant is located in the same shopping plaza as Jeju Sauna. Sun and Moon has a really interesting, unique, and bizarre atmosphere. Dining here is almost like dining inside a tropical rainforest. You feel like you’ve been whisked away into some magical forest because of all the trees, flowers, plants, and butterflies surrounding you. It’s all booth seating, inside and out, and the booths are enclosed for privacy. It’s also dark, leaving more to the imagination. The menu has a good variety of Korean fare from pancakes to stews to different kinds of meats and seafood including sausage, squid, skate fish, eel, baby octopus, and chicken intestine. Expect to spend at least $ 15 – 20 per entrée. I had the all-you-can-eat beef brisket and pork belly. It came with five small dishes of banchan(Korean side dishes) which included shredded daikon radish, pickled spicy cucumbers, pickled bean sprouts, eggplant, and a green vegetable(watercress, I believe). There was also a bowl of soup. This was an OK spread of banchan for the price we paid. Taste was mediocre. A portable gas grill was brought to our table for the beef brisket and pork belly to be cooked on. This was a rectangular-shaped grill which leaned in one direction so the grease could drip into a cup placed at the bottom. Copious amounts of kimchi and garlic were placed at the base of the incline so the fat and grease could coat and cook the kimchi and garlic. This is standard practice. Overall, I thought the quality of both the beef brisket and pork belly was good. Not bad at all. The slices of meat were tender and savory enough and fattiness was about expected. The brisket was cut into larger slices than I’m accustomed to. Nice full, hearty slices and the restaurant was very generous with refills. The meats came with two kinds of dipping sauce:(1) gochujang(fermented soybean paste) and(2) sesame oil with salt and pepper. I’m usually all over the seasoned sesame oil, but Sun and Moon Café’s sesame oil did not seem to be seasoned enough. The meat also came with plates of shredded lettuce tossed in a slightly spicy dressing. No rice noodle rolls, though. Boo. We came on a Friday night with a party seven and were seated almost immediately. The restaurant was very busy and the old Korean ladies staffed that night were working their butts off. As is customary with any Korean restaurant, pressing the button at your table calls the servers’ attention. At most Korean restaurants, they come to your table almost immediately, but the servers were so busy at Sun and Moon the night we went, it would take them at least a few minutes. In summary, I like Sun and Moon Café. It’s just another good option for AYCE Korean BBQ along Pleasant Hill Rd. in Duluth.

Atlanta’s got some good Korean food and this is one of those establishments. It’s open late and great outdoor seating as well. Their unlimited pork belly and thinly sliced beef is awesome for only $ 14.99. They also offer full variety of Korean food including different soups and salads. I always have a great time when I go. i think I’m ready for another round.

I love coming here for the unlimited pork belly and brisket for $ 14.99. I know some of you’d say why not go to Iron Age right across the street for more meat choices, but the complimentary side dishes here are soooo good. Sometimes they change, but they usually have salad, spicy bean sprouts, apple/potato salad, spicy broccoli, and some other things that I have no idea how to describe. Their soybean soup is amazing! They also have this corn dish with cheese on a skillet that I’m very fond of, but it’s a little pricey for corn…$ 13. This place is a must try! Service is usually good, but sometimes there’s this one lady who is a little mean and abrasive; however, there is another lady who knows us(the owner I think), and she’s extremely nice!

Because I am completely stupid and ignorant(like my rhetoric?), almost 2 years ago, my then boss(who is Indian) would thought it would be funny for me to go into this place and ask for«dog bulgogi». Needless to say, while he was parking, I went in and immediately asked. Within moments, it was time for us to leave. Lesson in life learned– never ask for dog unless you can GUARANTEE it exists at that place. Last weekend, I was invited to eat here for dinner. I heard the name, and I almost choked. I was having second thoughts. What if they remember me? It could compromise our whole meal! Like the selfish dick I am, I decided to go. I was told our table was in the back out on the covered patio, so I got to walk by a few parts of the place. This place reminded me of a mix of R Thomas and a Rainforest Café. It had that jungle theme with a bunch of «flair». I liked the décor. However, I would be careful around little kids in the place– I could see a potential hazard for kids running into things and/or breaking them or hurting themselves. There was about 5 or 6 of us eating and I realized they only gave us one menu. Thankfully we had a designated Korean menu order(er) to help us through. Off the bat, I noticed that if you buy booze, the price of food gets cheaper. Since we were going to karaōke afterwards, we thought it would be a good idea to pregame. At $ 27 for the bottle of soju, we saved about the same by doing so. So if you have a bigger group, think about getting some soju. We ended up getting the AYCE beef and pork belly(standard Korean BBQ fare) — which I did find interesting, being it labeled a «café». But I was down with that! The server seemed kind of brash at first(but I tipped her well, and she must have felt guilty, as she wanted to hug me afterwards!!) and wouldn’t really cook our food. I know a lot of places, they smack my hands everytime I cook, but this time I felt bad, as one person cooked while the other ones pecked at the grill like vultures. I got my share of food, and it wasn’t anything spectacular, but it filled me up. As we were ready to leave, some random lady was walking around trying to sell us fruits in a bag(is that even legal? Maybe SHE was the key in finding the DOG bulgogi!) — hey there is always a first for everything! Overall, it was a nice change to see another aspect of Korean fare and décor. And it was my first time really trying soju. Did I mention when I went to the bathroom, I was having flashbacks of being in Hawaii? I almost didn’t leave! 2 side notes– I wouldn’t suggest coming here unless you know someone who speaks/reads fluent Korean, or risk pointing at menu items and see what happens. Also, when you get your bill, go up to the front. We kept pushing our call button and they ignored it after they gave us the check. Consider this a 3 stars and some change review…

What an interesting place. The minute I walked in, I felt like I was in some gaudy, American restaurant. Nope, it’s just another Korean, AYCE Porkbelly/Brisket restaurant. I must admit though, being a bird owner, I got excited to see the fake birds at the front. There are 2 places to sit, the outdoor patio and inside. They both make you feel like you’re in some jungle cabana. They also seem old-school Korean. The staff are aunties, they speak Korean, and they allow smoking – at least in the patio area. Also, I noticed the service seemed lacking. We had to do all the cooking and cutting ourselves. When we rang the doorbell, the aunties weren’t hasty to come and check on us. The food was okay. I would say it’s comparable to Iron Age. But they don’t have any type of ssams. No rice ssams, lettuce ssams, perilla leaf ssams, etc. I thought it was very strange that a Korean BBQ place would not have anything to wrap the meat and side dishes in. Maybe we should’ve been assertive and asked for some ssam. Oh well. I would recommend you to come here with Koreans who are fluent in Korean if you want decent service.
