Waitress was rude. Staff wouldn’t allow us to sit with other customers. They were Japanese and our party was of mixed ethnicity. I have never experienced this type of treatment. Very disappointed.

Searched Unilocal today since I was craving Japanese food. Decided on this place and discovered it is not open anymore.

Sushi was great. I would give them 4 stars if they spoke English better. The name is no longer Yamato… The new sign is in an Asian language so I do not know what it says.

I feel like I only go here for the convenience(its so close to my house) than for the mediocre sushi. I’ve never had the hibachi, but I’m assuming its just like any other hibachi restaurant. Every time I’ve been here I’ve never had to wait and it has never been overly busy… I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. The sushi is not bad and is at a very reasonable price. There is the complimentary miso soup, salad, and dessert(fruits) which is nice. The waitress has always been nice and attentive, probably because we are usually the only table there… Nothing to really complain about, but also nothing to rave about either

I was here at about 4 years ago with a group of friends. I recall the food as being pretty good. We had hibachi, so sadly, I didn’t get to try their sushi. It didn’t feel crowded… For some reason, I wonder how it lasted this long with the business being only a few tables on a weekend night. I wonder if it’s still open… Maybe I should give it a try one of these days?

Last night we went here after 9pm and they were still open and ready to fire up the hibachi. This was my first time having dinner here– we usually take food to-go and I loved it. Everything was really good and the cook was really friendly and gave us extra meat! They did the cheesy little show and made funny litte comments that I didn’t quite understand but thats the hibachi experience. I got the filet mignon and chicken, hubby got filet mignon, lobster and shrimp and they automatically give you salad, soup, noodles, fried rice and veggies. I’ve read reviews about the other location and I’m sorry to say my experience was very different to say the least. And… dare I say it, I thought it was better than Benihana! I know their will be others out there who disagree but this is my opinion and luckily Unilocal allows that.
