A hole in the wall with lots of choices. The food was pretty good and cheap, cheeseburger, fries and greens were really good. Gyro was pretty good and the wings were just ok, but my kids enjoyed them! If you want a cheap quick lunch with lots of choices, this is a great place, just don’t expect gourmet Food!

Last time here. Chicken was ok, deep fried nicely. Taste was blah, seemed like mostly paprika for seasoning. Not bad, but nothing special. Service was terrible. There was only one person in front of who was waiting for their take out order. Ordered a five piece to eat in. I specifically requested one breast and the rest dark meat. I was told that the meal would include a wing. No problem. We then sat down and waited about 20 minutes while a stream of to go customers came in, ordered and left with their food. When the last customer left, I think the owner realized he had forgotten us. Our food came, and the five piece had 2 thighs, two drums and a wing. When I asked for a breast, the owner took back a thigh and gave me a scrawny, cold breast that was actually smaller than the thigh. My wife ordered another breast to make up for the small one we were served. Apparently the to go customers served after we placed our original order depleted the supply of breasts — we were told it would take five minutes. Not surprisingly, the second scrawny breast was under cooked and we wound up just throwing it away and leaving.

Best Halal Fried Chicken in Dumfries, Triangle, Woodbridge area. Disclaimer: everything is Halal except Hot wings, popcorn chicken and Mumbo wings and 3 sides as seen in the pictures I posted. Best steak and cheese and cheese burger.

I got the chicken wing lunch combo for $ 6.99. Not a bad deal, you get fries and a soda with it. The wings were crunchy but flavorless. The fries were crunchy and good. I think that was the best part. They have also subs and gyros there, I will be back to try those.

Really a dive, but OK fried chicken. Mine was a little overcooked, which dries out the meat. There is probably only about 60 seconds between Great Fried Chicken and overcooked. Unfortunately, mine was the later. From the other reviews, it sounds hit or miss. The sides were nothing great.

Great neighborhood chicken place run by some very nice people. The style of chicken is definitely different than you’d generally find in the south, so it’s worth a shot. Southern chicken is awesome, but this chicken has it’s own merit. It’s moist, and has a small cracker-type crust worth trying. Their sides are not good. The fries are usually very bad, so I wouldn’t even get them. Another gem of their is their mediterranean products like gyros. My favorite of all of those is their chicken & rice dish. Kind of like halal guy’s chicken rice from NY. It is totally worth a shot, and is pretty cheap so if you’re in the area for lunch… Triangle Friend Chicken’s Chicken Rice Dish is a HIGHLYRECOMMENDED meal :)

Disgusting!!! Dry, bland, and disgusting chicken. The sides I could make from scratch found on the floor at KFC. By the way, KFC is 2 blocks north. Go there! You’re welcome.

This place is great. My husband craves their philly cheese steaks and I crave their cheeseburgers. So so delicious. We lived in Texas so I know a good burger. This place has it.

This place was nothing like the fried chicken places I was used to in New York. The chicken was average and what they called collard greens I couldn’t really identify. Watery mac and cheese, I would not go back.

I’ve tried this place twice. I’m not a fan. Their whole chicken and chicken wings have a weird taste. It’s like they use the same oil to cook everything. The food smells and taste like other food. When I’m eating the chicken it feels like I’m eating fish. Nasty if you ask me. Not trying it a third time.

I come here for the wings and usually introduce this place to visitors we have. Needless to say everyone loves the wings and often times want to make a second trip before they leave the area. The staff here are friendly and nice you wont have to worry about service with an attitude here.

We don’t order the sides anymore but their chicken wings, both fried and mambo, are delicious whether delivery or pick up. Our family thinks this is the best fried chicken in Dumfries. –Chef Jacqueline

Both times I was in, my food was hot. The stuff didn’t take long, which is a huge plus. But I don’t think I’ll be doing the seafood.

Food is mediocre, ordered delivery… they forgot ALL of our biscuits. Called them, at which time we were told the driver will NOT drive back out for«just» biscuits missing and we will NOT be getting a refund/discount for their error; however, they will include them on our next order… Well, simply stated we will never see them biscuits. The worst customer service in this this area. Recommend MCDonald’s in the same plaza,

When the place first came to town I was a bit excited since there aren’t many other places to eat in Triangle/Dumfries.(Before the new McDonald’s was built). The menu board is bright and colorful but that’s where the excitement ends. I was skeptical about going in since there were NO other customers at lunch time. That’s usually a sign for me. I took a chance and prayed that I wouldn’t get sick from the food. I ordered a chicken dinner. The food didn’t taste bad but the pieces of chicken were sooooo tiny. The drumstick was a little bigger than the one you get with a wingette. I was expecting more considering the place has«Fried Chicken» in the name. I haven’t been back since.

I like their fried chicken, nice alternative to KFC which is located down the street. They also have items such as gyros on the menu. I tried a gyro, which was ok, but I’d rather eat the chicken and save the gyros for authentication Greek establishments!

On the recommendation of co-workers, I gave this spot a try. Had the wings and while they were small, they did taste good. This is the kind of place that will hit the spot in a crunch. I’ll have to try something else off the menu to see if they warrant an increase in ratings. The staff is very courteous and attentive!

Found this place searching Unilocal for something to eat while in the area for school. I was thinking English style Fish & Chips. What I got was crispy and moist but not English style. No Malt Vinegar, thin crispy breading and McD’s style fries instead of thick Steak cut fries. I’m not complaining mind you just telling it like it is. I had two big pieces of Whiting and three whole chicken wings, fries and a roll for less than $ 10 pretty good value in my opinion. Food went well with a Boxcar Pumpkin Porter! Food was good and the menu looks very good they offer a good selection of items I very well might be back before i leave town again. If you are in the area and like fried chicken, skip KFC and come here! Sláinte!

Hard to find, but good when you do. Their fish is just simple fried fillets, but they come out moist with a good flavor, not all dried up and tasting like cardboard.. Haven’t had any real good fish in the area since Dent’s moved so to me this is a nice find. Not great, but nice, you know? Coupons and combos, they also have subs, steak sandwiches and shrimp. They do pretty good gyros, too. Not as good as in New York, but pretty decent. But what made me really do this review is their little $ 1.75 dish of sweet potato pie. You know, the kind they sell on the corner for a dollar in NYC and Philly? Along with the bean pies? The owner says he gets them from NYC and he has people driving all the way from DC to get them. Anyway, he has some in the warmer, and for seven bits(plus tax) you get a tasty little bite of the Big Apple and what it’s like growing up there. Nice memory. This place can be hard to find though. It’s tucked away between the split lanes of Route 1 as it leads through Dumfries. If you can picture East Coast Harley and the Baskin Robbins, keep coming south on Route 1. And as soon as you cross through the traffic light(cross all the way THRU the intersection) the entrance to Triangle Shopping Plaza is on your left. If you miss it, you can redeem yourself a little ways up the hill at the next entrance on the left. If you’re coming north, pass the fire station and the Corvette dealer on your right and start looking left. I think it’s your first turn although it looks like you’re going into a VDOT facility. You’ll see the lanes for the plaza as you head in(if memory serves me well here). And if that doesn’t work, oh well, just try the next left :)
