History

Established in 2006.

Six years as a teacher in a public school never lost its thrill. I spent every summer dreaming of new ideas, planning fresh curriculum, and preparing for an exciting September. I was born to be a teacher and spent every ounce of energy creating a supportive learning environment for my students.

When I became pregnant with my first child in 2005, I knew my priorities would be shuffled. I wanted to be home with my newborn daughter, but still have a positive effect on the lives of students. And so Tutor’s Link was created. My goal was to help link students and teachers beyond the classroom. A personal teacher would be the answer to those struggling with academics or in need of enrichment.

Four years later, we have worked with over 30 families with students ranging from Preschool through adulthood. Our teachers enter each home with the promise of patience, creativity, and compassion. We want each of our students to feel confident about their own abilities and

As a reading specialist with over 10 years teaching experience, I have seen the love of reading/​writing emerge in even the most reluctant students. Unleashing that passion for words opens wonderful opportunities for learners. Tutor’s Link was created with the goal of giving all students the opportunity to love learning.
