Peaches Louisiana Fried Catfish & Chicken

First, I must acknowledge this is a hole in the wall. I was turned onto by my bestie. A little on the expensive side but so worth the cost. The seasoning on the fish is wonderful. I just love it when you peel the outter crust off the fish and the fish is clean, meaning there’s none of that gray stuff. The fries are okay more like what you cook at home. I can get past that. Meanwhile, I not only ate there once but went back again with my family and again with my extended family for the fish. The last time I went the family decided to mix it up and try the chicken. Needless to say I was disappointed, it would appear the seasoning they use on the fish is exactly what they use on the chicken it just doesn’t turn out the same. It was well fried but that seasoning though, we will only be returning for the fish.

Some of the best fried catfish and chicken in the Metroplex. They are rather pricey but it definitely worth it! The customer service is horrible and a little ghetto but if you can over look that then it’s worth the drive and the money! P. S. THEY ARE SLOW AS HELL!!! EVEN IF YOU CALL YOUR ORDER ON BE PREPARED TO WAIT AN HOUR OR MORE!!!

Only because the fish is actually really good here, I’ll give this place a 3 star rating. I’ve had them before a couple of times but it was always purchased by someone else and brought to me. I looked at the reviews on Unilocal before I headed out and was concerned about the complaints of bad customer service, but when I arrived the guys there were actually very friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is the actual building itself. I expected it to be a hole-​in-​the-​wall but it was just nasty. There were dead roaches and live roaches here there and everywhere. I just kept praying to myself that the hot grease would cook away any germs. I don’t believe I’ll be able to get food from here in the future.

The fish was really good. Didn’t need any additions, not even hot sauce. That’s all I can say good about the place. The area is sketchy. When we arrived, there was a man walking around in a coat with it wide open and no shirt on singing to himself, it was about 40 degrees out. That was scary because you never know what’s on a person’s mind. After walking in, I walk up to the counter to order, there was no greeting, it was just a look. With a smile, I started by saying I have a Groupon. Again, just a blank stare. I proceeded with a question on whether the prices on the board were correct, because they seemed a little high for this type of restaurant. The young lady said yeah. So I ordered and waited for my food. Although the young lady taking the orders wasn’t very into customer service, she was VERY MUCH into her cell phone. She stared at her phone the entire time I waited for my order. There were 2 people to come in behind me, she took their orders quickly and back to the phone she went. She had absolutely no personality for the service industry. The value for the money was not good at all. We got 5 fish fillets, fries, 4 slices of bread, about 5 sliced pickles and carrot slices. This took up the whole $ 20 Groupon total with no change left. I could have gone to David’s (restaurant) and gotten more food for the money. I will NEVER visit this restaurant again, not even with someone else’s money.
Top Cat for me from now on. It’s just a few minute drive down the road and the customer service is quite good.

Would love to give this place 4 or even 5 stars because the food is expertly fried to perfection, the seasoning is not overstated, a very well prepared catfish on the go basket. However my disdain is the customer service or should I say the lack there of. It’s atrociously borderline disrespectful, and they seemed to think that it’s ok, the erroneous times they give you is never 15 or 20 mins it’s more like 30 or 45mins, but be that as it may I’ll be back its ghettofantabulous!!!

Great fish… only take cash and don’t be looking for a warm Greeting. u won’t get it.

Horrible customer service; they are hella slow; they make you feel like it’s your fault that they came to work. I gave up on them once before and tried again after years to see if they’d gotten better. THEY ARE MUCH WORST!

Fish & chicken was pretty good but poor customer service. They told me it would take 20 – 25 mins, I waited over an hour for some fried catfish! I guess it was worth it w/​the Groupon but not if I would have paid full price.

Poor customer service… Fish is cool, not my favorite but it is good. Better call it in so you won’t have to wait too long. They only accept cash so make sure you stop by the ATM prior to arriving. In my opinion I think they are a lil over priced but who am I? Overall if you want some catfish then cool, if you want a good customer service… pray before you go.
