History

Established in 2011.

Total eye health, what we call EyeFitness, is more than meets the eye. In fact, total eye health includes the health of not only the eyes, but also the visual system of optic nerves, internal and external muscles and the brain.

Meet the Manager

Timothy S.

rowing up next to his parents’ animal hospital, Dr. Timothy Scranton knew he wanted to pursue a career in medicine. But it wasn’t until he failed the visual examination portion of the driver’s test and met the local optometrist that his fate was sealed.

After attending Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, where he studied zoology/​biology and psychology, he moved on to the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. After graduation, he joined an independent optometry practice in Alexandria, Va.

More than 20 years later, he joined EyeFit after working at United Optical in Maryland and Virginia for nearly 15 years. Throughout his career, Dr. Scranton has worked with a diverse patient base, and is able to conduct eye exams in Spanish.
