Douglas R. Tupps, O.D.

From Columbus, Ohio

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Tupps attained his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The Ohio State University in 1986. He returned to OSU in 1989 and earned his Doctor of Optometry from The College of Optometry in 1993.

Dr. Tupps has been in practice in Pinellas County since late 1993.

In the past, Dr. Tupps worked as the Contact Lens Specialist /​Staff Optometrist at St. Luke’s Laser & Cataract Institute. He has also served as a clinical researcher for contact lens companies.

Dr. Tupps practices primary care optometry with a special emphasis on the latest technology and personalized care (including hard-​to-​fit contact lens prescriptions.) He is able to detect, diagnose, and treat many vision conditions using some of the latest computerized diagnostic instrumentation.
