Specialties
Want to see Lions, Tigers, Jaguars, Cheetah and 25 other exotic and endangered cats? Come to the Cat Haven! Enjoy a guided walk with us (¼ mile) through the manzanita and blue oaks to meet many different species of cats. Learn about their lives at the Cat Haven as well as what life is like for their species in the wild. We are an education and conservation facility located on 95 acres in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Bring a picnic lunch and relax on our patio over-looking the Tiger enclosure. Just 45 minutes from Fresno and 15 minutes from the Giant Sequoias and Kings Canyon National Forest.
Open to the public year round; see our hours of operation and closed days.
Golf cart tours available for those who may not be able to comfortably walk our trail; call at least two days in advance to book a golf cart tour if needed.
We also host school field trips and have classrooms onsite OR ask about having one of our ambassador cats come to your school.
History
Established in 1993.
Founded in 1993 with the purchase of 100 scenic acres just west of King’s Canyon National Park the Cat Haven offers guided tours of some of the rarest cats in the world. It also promotes grass-root level support for range country conservation through Project Survival, a 501 © (3) organization.
