The Box

Awesome Bahn Mi And pork steamed buns. Durango needs more food trucks! Wish the town would make it easier for more of them to set up downtown, but in the meantime The Box is a great option for lunch!

My mom and I have been eyeing this food truck for awhile now and we finally got to try it.
We stopped by to grab something relatively quickly but unfortunately we ended up waiting quite awhile which was no bueno because my mom had a meeting she needed to get to. We ordered the steamed pork buns, the salad, and the shrimp tacos. Props for being able to pay with a credit card!
I enjoyed the pork buns, there were two of them and the bun was actually the Chinese-​style bun that I’ve had in California so I was really excited! They add a good amount of meat, the sauce is tasty, and the pickled cucumbers are excellent; I’d definitely order this again. The salad is large but the dressing had an interesting flavor to it that I’m not sure I liked. My mom said the flavor of the tacos was great but the tortillas weren’t cooked so they fell apart easily. The tacos were also quite small so it wasn’t a very good deal for the price.
In the end there were a bunch of cool-​sounding options on the menu, but looks like it’s hit or miss. I’d come back for the buns though!
