Great chicken wings! Spicy, crispy, and exactly what I’ve spent almost two years looking for. Service was friendly, and they were open during some funky weather. Will be back, many times over!

My husband and I live in Raleigh but we were heading to Durham tonight for a show at DPAC. We were in the mood for a good burger and my husband did some research online and found 58Fifty online. When I saw my favorite burger topping on the menu(a fried egg) I said we should give it a try. The location is pretty small but there are several large high-tops that would be good if you have a larger group. My husband and I played Tap TV there, which is basically just a free trivia app they have set up. We had never seen in before but it was a really neat feature. We were saying we would come back with friends just to take advantage of that. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start, which were pretty good. My husband had the original cheeseburger medium well with french fries and I had the sunset burger well done, add crispy onion strings. I chose tater tots for my side. 58Fifty offers a cool option that I haven’t seen before — you can upgrade your ground beef to grass-fed beef from a local farm for $ 1.50. My husband chose to upgrade, but I did not. Both of our burgers were cooked how we asked. I even asked for extra crispy bacon on mine and it was perfect. We both cleaned our plates, save for a few fries. We left feeling sure we would be back again soon!

I’ve come here a few times since they changed over from ‘Sunset Grille’(a sports bar) to ‘58Fifty Bistro & Martini Bar’(a martini bar with an identity crisis) and it’s been consistently JUSTOK. Which is a real shame. Because Sutton Station gives this place a prime location with essentially NOCOMPETITION for either a Martini Bar OR Sports Bar. And maybe that’s part of the problem. It’s the only bar/grill in the general area, so really the place could have a theme, a cohesive menu, nightly music/drink specials, a social media presence, and be packed out all the time. Thank god they took that awful partition out directly behind the bar and put big tables in. I will give kudos to whoever made that decision. The space was not wide enough for what was trying to be achieved in the initial renovation. The problem with this place is commitment. When they first transitioned into a Martini Bar I was like, ‘Ok. This could be a really nice, cool place. ’ but they never took it ALLTHEWAY. The 15TV’s showing major sporting events weren’t removed, the menu wasn’t upgraded, and the staff weren’t trained in nicer dining practices. It’s pretty much still a sports bar with sports bar food, sports bar TVs, and cheesy sports bar karaōke on Saturday night. Now there’s just crystal chandeliers and a few more cocktails on the menu. I would be happy with either concept but the mishmash of both produces a strange dining OR bar experience.

What a GREAT Place to have dinner and then dance to LIVE Music(Friday). The food was excellent. I had the Original, a hand breaded chicken breast plus all the fixings on a Brioche roll, which was wonderful. My wife loved the burger, which was so BIG, she had to cut it into quarters. Our friend, a Durham local, ate the shrimp and grits, which he raved about too. After dinner, the 3 member Band started to play electric guitar, drums, and organ. So, we began to dance. Many diners and drinkers were dancing. This very racially mixed crowd had a beautiful evening.

The apple turnover was amazing! It was the best part of the night. Upon walking in, there was an old perverted man who harassed us about our age. He didn’t work there. He harassed everyone who walked in the place. Once inside, there was a live band. The music was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself talk. We decided to sit outside. Upon walking out, the old man said something to us again! Apparently, he is a regular to the place and this is what he does. The wait staff didn’t seem bothered by him at all. I ordered wings and fries. The wings were a little crispy but ok. Our waitress was cool. It took her a while to get to us but I think it was only 2 or 3 waiters in the whole place. Once we ordered, the food came out fairly quick. The place started to get a little packed after about 10pm. The crowd appeared to be 40 and up. I would have gave a better review if we weren’t harassed by the old pervert!

Nice place based on a first visit. Excellent burger, tea & fries; crab cakes kinda so-so(not Eastern-shore style). Pleasant service, reasonable prices & good bar selections.

Visited last night with family and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful with the drinks. They had a good selection of draft beers including some craft beers that were excellent and they also. had some unique bottled beers. We had two flavors of wings and a Mexican Egg roll. All very good. Seems like a great local Bar and Restaurant. Will try again the next time we visit the area.

Meal was so, so. Not good enough to make up for the atmosphere. Management needs to control the«regulars»(incredibly loud, drunk woman). We were there on a Saturday evening. She made this restaurant very uncomfortable, noisy & unwelcoming. If she is there next time we go, we will leave immediately. Management needs to take care of this. While she was having a good time, the rest of us were not.

Never heard of this place and ended up here just by chance. What a nice surprise! Super friendly staff, menu with good choices and one of the best burgers I have out in a long time. Healthy portion of meat and fries, really good flavor and decent prices. I do not eat many burgers but when I do this is definitely a place to be on my list.

Went for lunch with a large group. This seemed to completely overwhelm the server who while slightly amusing also had this attitude of you got to adhere to you how I do things or you don’t get anything to eat. After ordering it took 30 minutes to get our food. The server said the food was taking that long because it would all come out it once but it actually took 20 minutes for the food to come out one or two plates at a time. The food was not great especially after all that time — my fish was with old or over cooked, couldn’t tell which. And apparently they don’t do refills on iced tea because I never got one. I would never go here again. It’s amazing that a place that is 10% full cannot get it together especially at lunchtime.

Now that the chef has stayed I can give a better review. This place has amazing burgers and a great staff. The nightlife is great and they have lots of activities such as karaōke, trivia, bands etc. love coming here after work and grabbing a few drinks. Yasmine is the best!!! Get her to serve you she will take care of everything you need!!!

This was my first visit to 58. It was recommended to me by a friend. There is open seating outside and seating on the inside. We arrived around 6pm(on a Wednesday night), just in time for happy hour. I had the veggie hummus wrap and a side salad. It was very good. As we were leaving a live band started playing. They also have karaōke on Friday nights. I plan to return at some point in the near future.

Great drink specials, the brunch is great on Sundays and different themes throughout the week. Since the renovation the atmosphere is a lot better. Perfect for a date night or just hanging out alone or with friends. The bartenders/mixologists are cool, and friendly. The owner is very welcoming and always makes a round to check on guests when he is there. The prices and menu are great. The only thing I miss are the fried calamari sticks that had at first they were amazing.(The new ones are the regular calamari served everywhere else)

Restaurant week is the best for trying new places and this one might just be a new favorite. First of all Sutton Station is awesome — I love Nantucket Grill and Bocci, but this place has a lot going on! There was a birthday/karaōke party going on and people were having a seriously good time. They weren’t half bad either — I was about to hit the American Idol team up. Iggy’s «I’m so Fancy» even made an appearance. I was a little worried when we walked in because there was a sign on the door about appropriate attire and we had jeans on, but I think it has a classy bar feel to it so they just didn’t want baseball hats and what not. The Duke game was on and people were excited about that so there was a good amount of noise but we were in the side room and I felt that it was set up well for more serious diners and less of the athletic/karaōke crowd. Overall, the food was great! The plating could definitely use some work(although our desserts looked beautiful and tasted amazing). The service was a bit slow because, well, it’s restaurant week and I guess the kitchen got messed up, but the manager came out and bought us a round so that was very generous. They made sure we were well taken care of and even though it was a 2 ½ hour dinner, we had a great time and will be back. Highlights: — My husband said the salmon was the best he’d ever tasted with a spicy chili sauce and rice with cilantro — My pasta primavera was really fresh and the chicken was delicious — I feel like usually in pasta dishes the chicken is gross, but this was really yummy! — The berry sorbet was my favorite but we also tried the apple tart and chocolate torte which were super tasty with caramel and berry sauce respectively — Lots of music/entertainment options and specials throughout the week Lowlights: — The empanadas were a little disappointing in terms of the small proportion — The hummus had raw garlic in it so it was REALLY strong, but still tasty

Let me clarify a few things prior to 58Fifty’s food review. First: If you decide to patronize this place, I hope you ask for and are served by Chris. He appears to be both a bartender and waiter. He is kind, helpful and a breath of fresh air. He makes sure to convey the restaurant’s mission: serve, buy, support local. He’s very honest. I enjoyed him as a waiter and for that I encourage others to visit solely to meet and support Chris in his server & bartender endeavors. Second: I wholeheartedly agree with and appreciate that the owners serve, buy and support local. Insert heart emoji here;)! Food & Restaurant review: PROS: the place is industrially chic; they have a variety of social events; they have a wide selection of interesting and creative margaritas; they have an extremely interactive social media presence CONS: my visit consisted of a party of two and of the two, neither was satisfied nor completed our entrees, we both stopped after one bite of each item… including the free appetizer the restaurant provides when you sign up for receive text messages. The buffalo shrimp was WAY over cooked so much so that it’s akin to chewing a rubber ball. The Down End Crab Cakes were sliced tomato thin, deep fried, flavorless and over cooked as well. The Boneless Beef Short Ribs were very fatty, the red potatoes had the consistency of being microwaved… dry and flavorless. In all honesty I recommend visiting this place as they buy and offer local beer and wine, the customer service is outstanding, and the margarita selection is extensive. However, I would be remiss if I recommended 58fifty for their food selections.

Food was decent. We had the honey fried chicken and the chicken salad sandwich. The food was presented well, however, the honey fried chicken was essentially chicken with honey drizzled over it. Maybe just regular honey, nothing special, no salt, no seasoning on the chicken, just BLAH. The food was very bland, which while it looked good, it needed at minimum some salt to give it flavor. Service was good, however, I gave it three stars because while waiting for my date, there was apparently the cook or someone who worked there(not our server) who was outside and complaining and bemoaning that the place was empty etc. Not something that makes someone want to eat there. The service did make up for it. I subtracted a second star because it is slightly overpriced, despite to what the owner may have replied to another comment. The fried chicken was just a fried piece of chicken with corn that possibly came out of a can(no seasoning) and honey drizzled over it. There was no flavor in the meals, it seemed very subpar taste wise. I don’t quite care if other places near by charge the same prices, if the food itself isn’t work the price that doesn’t make it priced accordingly. The menu did look appetizing but execution or mingling of the flavors isn’t quite there.

I really enjoyed 58 Fifty, enough on my first visit to leave a 5-Star review. And for many great reasons beyond just their food/drinks. I first want to applaud 58 Fifty for providing Sutton Station with an ACTUALBAR with everything from beers, wines to cocktails for amazing prices. Other than 58 Fifty, there is not a place at Sutton Station to «just grab a drink» without feeling like you need to order a meal(and even than restaurant choices are still a bit limited at Sutton Station). 58 Fifty’s «bar atmosphere» stood out the most to me because Sutton Station on Fayetteville is like this giant forgotten plaza. There are actually lots of businesses, but they get lost in the vastness of the multiple story buildings, small signs, and lack of outdoor design. When you look at Sutton Station, you see what mainly looks like a corporate collection of offices with small signs, white columns everywhere, and bright peach stucco walls everywhere. It’s hard for the restaurants, salons, etc to stand out! So while Sutton Station’s outdoor design needs some work, 58 Fifty does a good job of trying to break that judgement by finally proving a place to just grab a martini or beer. Not only are the drinks great, the food is delicious. Even with many comfort food options, the choices are well presented. The interior design is really nice, you forget you were just in a wide parking-lot plaza. The staff is really nice and you can tell that they go out of their way to please their customers. We had no wait for our food and drinks, and one server even brought a gigantic water bowl just for our dog when we were there on a hot afternoon. I can’t brag enough about the location. Since it’s right off the American Tobacco Trail, you can easily grab a beer right after a walk or bike ride! Plus, they have live music on Fridays and karaōke on Saturdays. How entertaining is that?! Overall, 58 Fifty not only provides great service, but they are a great example of a business trying to improve the dining and drinking atmosphere of Sutton Station. I hope to see their efforts pay off even more and attract more customers to Sutton Station!

Granted, turkey burgers are a nice alternative to beef, but they can be dry and not very flavorful. Well not the one at 58Fifty Bistro! I have to say it is The most delicious turkey burger I’ve ever had! Juicy and flavorful with fresh spinach and feta cheese stuffed inside the burger served on a wonderful soft bun with chimichurri mayo and topped with lettuce and tomato. It was so good that I cannot imagine coming back here and not having another ASAP! My dining partner had the pesto cream gemeli pasta with artichoke, spinach, mushrooms, tomato, kalamata olives, which she loved! It was a huge portion that’s creamy and loaded with goodness! I’ve tried the pastrami and swiss with cream cheese, mustard and pickles on a grilled baguette on a previous visit and enjoyed it, but that turkey burger had me talking about it all day long!, Also can’t go wrong with the wings and the homemade chips!
