The Hamptons at Research Triangle

This apartment complex should give me a PhD in biology for all the insect species I learned of during my time as a tenant.
And reimburse me for:
— Replacement aerators and showerheads because the ones provided have the same water pressure as airline bathroom sinks
— Earplugs because I could hear my upstairs neighbor snore, for heaven’s sake
— Two weeks of paid parking when my reserved spot was blocked by unannounced construction
At least the neighborhood is safe and peaceful (if VERY dull) and the office and maintenance staff were wonderful.
But these are cheap apartments renting for not-​very-​cheap prices. So I don’t recommend.

This complex is beautiful on the outside but terrible on the inside! I was only able to handle it for two months, and they even let me out of my lease because it was so bad! I had mold, bugs, flooding, you name it!
On top of it all, they accidentally CC’d me in on an email talking badly about me and disrespecting me! How unprofessional!
Run! Do not live here unless you want your hair falling out! Literally!

I leased a one bedroom apartment for a year after relocating to the area from the north. The apartments are spacious and the valet trash service is very nice. Maintenance is very responsive as well. If you work in RTP it’s very convenient but otherwise this area is dead. You’re driving 15 minutes to Durham and 25 to Raleigh. No one really socializes and the complex is dominated by a specific culture. You’ll have some cockroach friends from time to time as well. Overall not a bad place but just not a great location if you want to hang out in the cities.

This is a great apartment complex to live in. Be prepared for a long review: Here it goes:
1. The people
Our lease agreement was handled by Precious Tynes. She patiently took us around all the model apartments and available apartments. She walked us through the policies and facilities. She was really nice even when we asked for some time to think over. We signed the agreement and couldn’t have been more happier. Our interactions with Caroline Chappell over the period of our stay were always wonderful. She was always there to take care of our concerns and sort out issues, if any. Rachel Crowder and all the ladies in the leasing office are great and easy to work with, genuinely care about the residents, go beyond their job responsibility to accommodate the residents’ needs and requirements. What surprises me is that they really care about the ‘residents as people’ and with what is going on in our lives.
2. The Place
When we first moved to RDU, we heard so many nightmarish stories about apartments with bedbugs and poor maintenance and bad management. Thankfully, The Hamptons is NOT one of those places. It is a well maintained, and has high hygiene standards and the management is awesome. Our apartment/​flat was squeaky clean when we moved in. The management gives you a 7 day period to go over any existing issues that are promptly taken care of or noted down so that you will not be bothered later with such stuff.
The Hamptons is really close to the Southpoint Mall and quite a few eateries, Food Line is just a stone’s throw away. We have a Ace Pharmacy and Indian groceries store right outside the community.
We decided not to buy a car for a while, and the biggest advantage of this place is connectivity to Public transport. The Bus Stop is right outside the community.
We highly recommend this place. The only reason we are moving is because we are relocating to Boston, MA. If not for relocation, we planned to stay long term at this place.

The best apartment complex ever! I didn’t renew my lease in time and I’m really disappointed because this place is one of the best Durham has to offer. Highly recommended! The women who work there are great and willing to help. Oh yeah, great pool too.
