WOW Brows Threading and Beauty Studios

Just left this place and my eyebrows have never looked better! She actually left my eyebrows thick and not super thin like most places do. (FYI my eyebrows naturally don’t have much hair) I will for sure be coming back!

I have been here about 5 times. The newer Asian woman is great, and she took her time. However, Nancy (Indian woman), tries to upsale almost everything else on the menu of services. One time I was getting my eyebrows done and she asked if I wanted my lip done too. I said no, and she asked again. I said no again, and she curtly said «well you need it.» I’m sorry, but I’ll decide what services I want, and if I say no then respect it. I’m not going back to Nancy, but the new Asian woman is good.

I went in yesterday to get my brows done and ONLY my brows. Upon sitting in the chair, the woman asked if I wanted my upper lip done. I said NO because my upper lip breaks out very badly after waxing or threading. She proceeded to tell me it wouldn’t break out because she would be gentle and insisted that I try it and I would see. I reluctantly agreed. Last night and today my upper lip, chin, and brows are completely red, zitty, and look disgusting. This is after skin treatments I used to try to prevent such a thing from happening. My overall complaint is not about the breakout, but about how pushy the «professionals» are at the salon. If I say no to a service, especially for a good reason, please don’t keep trying to push unwanted services on me. I wanted to pay $ 10 for getting my eyebrows done and walked out paying almost $ 40 for upper lip and chin. Not to mention I had to pluck my brows after I left, there were so many hairs left. I won’t go back.

I would love to give ZERO stars, but I will give 5 so Unilocal does not remove this post. I just read an updated post from another young lady. It seems that she had a similar experience. Now I was never offered any free service, If i was i an certain that the OWNER Bill would of wanted me to remove my review. Bill contacted about 15 minutes after I posted my Unilocal review.
He felt the need to bring to my attention about privacy and his lawyers? I don’t need to be educated on whether or not I know my rights. Unilocal is a site that is suppose to allow for the consumer to voice or express how they feel or the way a customer was treated. Bill did not denie that he has microphones and can listen to person conversations not just from the employees, but also a customer who maybe on a personal call that happened to be none of his business. After what i just read about this place and customers being contacted to revise the Unilocal review in exchange for a free service is very much dishonest.
I understand I am just now updating this, Customers should be made aware.

Pretty upset right now…
I’m very low maintenance and the only thing I take care of are my eyebrows so if it’s not done correctly than it upsets me. Today I went in and the Indian lady messed up my eyebrows. They’re uneven!!! My left side is thinner than my right side! Also I had to check and ask her to clean up areas three times!!!
The Asian lady is newer and slower, but you’ll leave with EVEN and clean eyebrows!

Nancy is great. Once dead set on waxing, I switched to threading because wax was making me break out. Easy, pretty much painless, and great service. I will continue to return every two weeks! Thanks!

I went to Nancy and she was fantastic! She did exactly as I asked and was very sweet. I will definitely be a regular now.

If I could give this venue 0 stars, I would. After reaching out to the Manager of WOW Brows to discuss my experience, he invited me to come in again for a free eyebrow service. I appreciated that gesture.
He then emailed me notifying me that, if i didn’t update my «terrible review» on Unilocal,he wouldn’t «authorize the girls» to provide that free eyebrow service!
A few things are wrong with that. First of all, this isn’t about the $ 10 it took to get my eyebrows done. This is about business conduct. I paid for a service that was poorly received. Secondly, he asked me to update my review BEFORE I came in for the eyebrow threading! That’s dishonest, manipulative, and bribery! I told him I wouldn’t write a falsified positive review. My reviews on Unilocal are honest, comprehensive, and intended for consumer awareness.
Secondly, I took issue with him referring to his employees as «the girls». They are grown women. They aren’t «girls». And their gender shouldn’t matter anyway.
Ultimately, after threatening to report the convo to the Better Business Bureau, he processed a $ 10 refund to me via Paypal.
I had a bad taste in my mouth following my experience last week, but after talking to the manager and interacting with him directly, my mind is blown. I’m not sure how this place manages to stay in business with that sort of entitled mindset.

I really enjoyed my first experience at WOW BROWS. I was in search of a place with excellent customer service and great work – this place has both! I was greeted with a warm smile and quite frankly, my threading didn’t hurt as much as it has in the past. I will be returning to try some of the other services offered at WOW.

First time getting my brows done, as well as threaded. Man was the end result worth it! My eyebrows are thin & sparse but also sort of shapeless and thick. I never thought I would have those nice clean arches that those with fuller brows are able to achieve but after threading + the WOW Brows powder, I achieved the cleanest brows I’ve ever had in my life. I felt like a million bucks.
I was a walk in and there were two customers ahead of me — wait was about 15 – 20 minutes, not too bad. The woman who did my eyebrows was awesome and definitely patient with me since it was my first time getting my eyebrows done ever.
Totally worth it, would recommend :)

I was a walk-​in and waited about 5 minutes for my threading appointment. The woman who did my eyebrows was great, she asked me what I was looking to do and did a great (and quick) job! I would definitely recommend!

I came back because I believe everyone deserves a second chance. The lady in here tonight was much nicer and she did a good job. She was rather pleasant and I was happy to see the older staff replaced with such a nice lady. I would come back.
She did a much cleaner job than the last time I was in here and I was pleased by her skill level.
Still not too pleased about the 10 dollars so I gave it a 3 star.

This place was great! I was delighted to discover this place after a month of newly Living in Durham. I was a walk-​in and was taken immediately — however I do think I got a little lucky on timing as there were about 6 people waiting when I was done. The woman was quick and did an excellent job shaping my brows. And it was only $ 10! Great quality and great price!

Pretty darn good, folks. Very efficient and friendly technician, reasonably priced, and no bullying me to get rid of more hair than I wanted to. Will be back!

Wow is right. After waxing my brows for decades I can honestly say that threading is so much better. My daughter has been going to Wow Brows for about a year and her brows have never looked so perfect for her face. She also started getting her whole face done and I think it makes a big difference in how she looks and feels about her appearance now.
I have pretty full brows, and what I thought was a nice shape to them. What I saw when I was done was such a pleasant surprise. Not only were my brows absolutely perfect but the lady had reshaped them in a way that made my eyelids look better. I was so excited I went over to Ulta and bought some new eyeshadow.
Not only was the result great but the people there were nice and very professional. The atmosphere is very upscale and pretty. I really don’t get some of the negative comments here on Unilocal.
I would recommend this salon to everyone. My biggest regret was not going here sooner. I’ll be coming here every time. One last thing for folks like me. I’m a real germ-​a-​phobe. I was happy to see that the ladies had hand sanitizer at their stations.

I Love Añu! She is the best! I get deluxe facial and brows. Añu is professional, experienced and friendly! Every time I go it’s like going home to Jersey. After I moved here my eyebrows were butchered by a pencil welding nail tech. I will never go anywhere else!

They do a pretty decent job. The price is a little more than other places but I don’t mind paying more for good brow work. I usually come here but I went to Chandni’s yesterday to try something different. Now I totally REGRET it! I guess I will continue to come here.

Añu is absolutely amazing. She is helping me regrow and reshape my brows after they have been repeatedly messed up and is slowly transforming them into exactly what I have been wanting. She is by far the best brow artist I have been to yet, and I’ve used many different people. Today she also specially came in (on her day off!) to do lash extensions for my engagement photos. My lashes look phenomenal and I got many compliments and felt fantastic.
Additionally, she is so sweet and patient with me. If you are looking for someone to listen to what you want and then give it to you — you should go to her.

I found it to be overpriced at the $ 12 I paid for at the time since I am used to paying $ 7 for eyebrow threading. They have recently dropped their price to $ 10.
I’ve been getting threaded for years and this was probably the most painful experience I have had. The girl who did my eyebrows threaded in a way that I could as she pull each hair individually, from prior experience with threading I know that it doesn’t have to be so painful. This caused me to question her skills.
With their lower price, it may be worth returning and trying a different staff member.

After feeling insulted and pressured at another area threading salon, I decided to give Wow Brows a shot. My mom, who has been admiring my brows ever since I started getting them threaded as opposed to waxing, was in town and wanted to have hers done as well.
The studio is spacious, nice, and clean. The check-​in process is self-​managed on a mini computer; quick and easy. The chairs recline, and are comfortable, and the process took about five minutes for each of us. My mom has sparse Asian eyebrows, and I thought they handled them well. And they maintained the shape my brows had already been given. Upon checkout, we got one of the frequent customer cards. The only thing holding me back from a 4-​star experience is that the price seems steep at $ 12 (I’ve paid $ 8 for threading in Chapel Hill, $ 7 in Cary, and the place I used to get brows waxed, which requires more materials than threading, charges $ 12). That said, good service and good facility. You can trust them with your face! :)
