Great customer service and a big variety of foods. We have used Rob’s for catering, and food and pricing cannot be beat in northwest Indiana. Great place to pick up foods needed for any grilling party.

I’ve been to Rob’s a handful amount of times. Their prices are always impressive and it’s an always clean meat shop AND deli.
They have tons of choices and I mean tons! When you order, make sure you let them know if it will be frozen and they will pack it special.
And, let’s not forget their customer service. Always spot on. The employees actually look like they like being there.

This place never disappoints. The buffalo chicken with blue cheese kievs are my personal favorite! Great sides and obviously meat!

They cut meat as you want it. They will wrap it however you want it. Just let them know. It has always been freezer ready too

This is by far the best place to buy meat in the Calumet region. The quality is superb the selection is fantastic. There is so much to choose from including all the homemade varieties of soups and frozen entrees that are all made on site.
The staff will answer any of your questions that you might have about a meat product and cut your selection as you specify. The employees are very knowledgeable and know their product.
They have an outstanding deli with just about anything you could ask for. If they don’t have it I’m sure Rob could get it for you. If you have not been to Rob’s meat chop & Deli you and your family are missing out and some great meat and deli products. No matter where you live in the region if you’re a mile or 30 miles, Robs is well worth the drive you will not be disappointed.

Ive been to Robs several times since I discovered it a few months ago. Overall, this is a great shop. Prices are pretty competitive with other butchers and the selection is extensive.
The baby back ribs are really good. Pricey compared to grocery stores (especially when they are on sale) but quality is good, so it is worth it to impress fam and friends.
The selection of meat is extensive, which sometimes makes it hard to choose when you’re looking for ideas for dinner! But overall, the steaks I’ve had and the other meat I’ve seen always looks good.
As far as the stuffed, rolled, ready to cook meats (mostly chicken) on the right side of the store, they are pretty good. I’ve had a few Kiev flavors and they were ok, but not what I’d hoped. The broccoli and cheese was very cheesy, but not much broccoli. The tomato and mozz Kiev tasted nothing like I thought. I guess I was thinking it was going to be almost like caprese, but not at all. It had some sweet spice flavor to it, almost like clove or something. It was weird but maybe it caught some flavor off another one.
The regular Greek stuffed chicken breast was delicious, as was the asparagus. The flank steak pinwheel is also very tasty.
I haven’t had any seafood yet, but I’m sure I will soon.
The jerky was too pricy for me to try but maybe one day.
I haven’t gone to the deli yet, but it all looks good. I like having a nice selection all over.

Wow this place is awesome! I wanted to go somewhere in the area besides vantils, meijers or Walmart to get some quality meat for the 4^th of July and I came to the right place! There was a great variety of meats and the employees were very friendly/​helpful! I was a bit nervous that since there aren’t too many places like this in the area that the prices would be high. Certainly was not the case! Very reasonable/​affordable prices! I’m glad I finally made it in here and can’t wait to go back and try more items! :)

Whenever I am stocking up for a cookout this is my go to place. They have good variety and very helpful and knowledgable employees.
I have gone in a few times and ordered off menu and they have accommodated.

We just moved to the area, but my in laws go here all the time. We went on Father’s Day to get some food for the day and it was PACKED! But the nice thing is the staff is so efficient that we didn’t wait at all. I was sooo impressed with the selection here. They have tons of meat, plus a lot of prepared options (similar to Whole Foods) like kebobs, chicken already marinated, different fishes with breadings, plus stuffed peppers, portobello mushrooms and tomatoes. Just tons and tons of options. Plus homemade pizzas, soups, and a lot of grocery items if you need them as well. This place is amazing. Will definitely be my new go-​to! Everything was so fresh too, love it!

Visited here for the first time and was so pleased at the variety of meats and the fantastic service. Couldn’t decide what to get because everything looked delicious. Talked to Rob himself who helped us and recommended his dry rub. Bought the peppercorn beef kabobs. …omg! The most tender beef I have ever eaten! I will be buying that once a week! Got my fiancé the chedder brats and they were great! Also got the stuffed portebella mushrooms. Yum!

Fantastic, clean butcher with deli. They are very helpful with meat choices and selections. They even offer packages. The deli has Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, which is top of the line. Even though the employees are younger, they are very polite and professional.
You can’t sit and eat there, but you can get sandwiches made from the deli.

Everyone needs a great butcher. This place knows their meat very well. You can seriously ask them anything and they’ll know where to direct you. All the meat is very high wuality, and they’re able to order anything you’d like if it somehow isn’t already in their massive selection. In addition, they have the best tomahawk steaks around. They recently (not too long now) expanded their store into a full grown one stop shop. They have various produce items, spices/​seasonings, a bigger deli selection, more frozen to go soups (awesome – try the stuffed pepper), and a variety of seafood selections. If they don’t have it, you probably just didn’t ask. They are a bit pricier than some of the other places around, so a lot of times you leave wondering how exactly you spent so much money on not so many things. Totally worth it on many levels. Also, it’s summer, which means kebab season and they have about anything you’d imagine in that regard.

This place is fantastic. Every time I go in there I am greeted by happy and polite people who truly seem like they are interested in taking care of me. On top of that the meat selection is awesome! The crazy thing is that on many instances I have shopped the price points of the products against local stores and have found robs to be much more affordable!

Rob’s has a seriously sweet choice of QUALITY meats and cheeses and sides and rolls and sauces and well and EVERYTHING!
I didn’t know where to begin, I heard about it a while back and have been meaning to swing by and scope it out. I am so glad I did!
I picked up a variety of brats, about a dozen different hamburgers, a bottle their «Original» BBQ sauce, some rolls, buns and finally about a half pound of cheese. All that for about $ 40!
Brats and Hamburgers — VERY well blended meats and spices, perfectly balanced in flavor — everything complimented and nothing was overpowering.
Rolls/​Bread — rolls are amazingly soft, easy to eat and so tasty. The crusty bread is even better, I love a hard crackly crust and the soft inside is heaven.
Cheeses — Not a cheese connoisseur but, they were good and melty when I BBQ’d.
The sauce was the only thing I didn’t really like… maybe I’ll try a different flavor next time I come by.
If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out!
