I grew up eating here and for nostalgia do so when I’m in the area and time allows. Shared a lunch there with my Dad. He grew up here and used to eat there when you really could sit in the car, honk the horn and they’d come out to take your order(hence the«Toot & Tell It»). We both had our old favorite, a pulled pork BBQ sandwich and fries. The BBQ was very good, the choice in sauces this day was only so-so. The fries were acceptable. The service was very good and even without my nostalgia for the place I’d come back again.

This is a classic«meat and potatoes» small town restaurant. The lunch buffet is pretty large(there’s a regular schedule of buffet items, Thursday used to be «ham day»). Lots of seating, private dining room for parties and meetings. Regular nightly specials as well. Their breakfast special is a great deal. They’re closed on Saturday afternoon, not open on Sunday. Watch out: No credit cards!
