History

Established in 1993.

Care Chiropractic was established in 1993 by Dr. Jean Brown Wetterlin, a Palmer graduate. In 1995 her nephew, Dr. James J. Ackelson also a Palmer graduate, joined the practice. Dr. Wetterlin was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and fought a long, tough battle for 9 years until passing away in 2001. Her journey forever changed the shape and focus of the clinic. The clinic became focused on the importance of creating balance with mind and body as part of a healthy life style through the removal of nerve interference with chiropractic adjustments and healthy living with exercise and nutrition. Dr Ackelson opened up an additional clinic in Edina in 2010, and in the summer of 2013, Dr. Randi M. Hartley also a Palmer graduate, joined the Eagan office.

Dr. Ackelson and Dr. Hartley carry on the strong tradition at Care Chiropractic Body Wellness of offering healthy preventive care for the whole family as well as care for people experiencing injury from auto/​sport/​work accidents.
