Eagan Eye Clinic

Awesome clinic went in there this Spring to get new frames and lenses. I was impressed how they handled everything during my visit. Thank you for the awesome service I have just found my new eye clinic will be back today

I went in to try and find a solution to a runny eye. The eye doctor put dye in my eye and it was not reacting the way she thought so she said I would have to go to a specialist. She never told me what was wrong (but apparently did because she wrote some fancy name on the bill) but only said to call if I wanted a name of the specialist. I then called her the next day for her to tell me that SHE had to call the specialist and tell them to call me. Why can’t I just call the specialist?! Finally I get the bill for the 15 min appt. $ 150 and I was also charged more because my appointment took longer than expected. Really?! Overall I feel that they communicated poorly and I feel that as a young adult I was taken advantage of. Needless to say, I am not too pleased and I will research a trusted eye care specialist myself.

I was a first time patient at the clinic and things started out fine. I had no complaints about my actually eye exam or contact lens fitting (I saw Dr. Stout, who was very nice). I was not warned my eyes would be dilated, if I had been, I would not have had my exam the day of an outdoor softball game, but it wasn’t a huge problem for me. After the exam, things went downhill.
I purchased the contacts recommended to me from my exam, which I later found out are much more expensive here than other places. While taking care of that, I had them adjust my glasses as they were too tight. When he handed them back to me he said «This should help, I hope they aren’t too loose now» I put them on and they seemed fine, so I thanked him and left. Shortly after leaving, the side of the glasses that he had adjusted FELL OFF, I had never had a problem before. I went back to the clinic a few days later to pick up my contacts and tell them what happened, hoping that they could tighten them back up. I was told that my glasses «somehow broke» and they don’t know anything or can’t do anything about it since I didn’t purchase them there. I informed how this happened and met with blank stares and a that’s too bad attitude.
After purchasing the contacts, I now have to come up with hundreds of dollars to purchase new frames to replace the perfectly good pair I had days before. Needless to say, I hope to find a more professional, reliable, and accountable office and I won’t be purchasing them here.
UPDATE :
The clinic followed up with my directly regarding my concern and I am very happy to say that they 100% impressed me. Everybody was very polite, friendly, and professional. They seemed genuinely interested in helping to remedy the situation. In the end, they ended up providing me not only with new frames, but new lenses to fit them!
I am very impressed with the way my concern was handled and will be returning in the future.

I really liked this eye clinic. Everyone there was pretty friendly and really knowledgable. They got me in quickly and seemed to cover all the bases. I didn’t know I was going to have my eyes dialated, so that kind of sucked as I needed to go back to my office job after, but it actually made for a fun afternoon :) They offered me a choice of contact brands that they felt would work best for me, and gave me the prescription so I if I decided not to buy them there, I could. They also had a nice selection of frames and the service they provided helping me find a pair for my face shape was really facinating. This lady was super good and narrowed down a couple frames I liked in no time! Although, it’s hard to beat a ½ sale at some of the larger chains, their service may end up sending me back for the glasses.
