History

Established in 1994.

Fusion Martial Arts is accredited through the American Taekwondo Association the largest single martial art organization in the world with over one million members world wide and 2500 schools in the US alone. Independently owned and operated in Eagan for the past 21 years in 2002 owner Matt Blomquist purchased Eagan ATA. Renamed Fusion Martial Arts with the goal to bring a new energy towards traditional martial arts by taking a modern approach and making martial arts current with todays society.

Business Owner

Jake started martial arts training at the age of six due to his passion for the ninja turtles. It wasn’t until years later in his martial arts career that he finally realized why his mom and dad enrolled him in a martial arts school; they saw a chance for the oldest son to learn positive values and morals that would shape him into the man he would soon become. Jake began his teaching apprenticeship under Master Blomquist at fifteen and was instantly hooked on the idea of sharing the martial arts with anyone that wanted to learn. «One of the most rewarding things I’ve experienced in my life is seeing someone who started martial arts as a kid develop into a leader in our community,» he says. Today Jake is one of the youngest 5^th degree black belts in the ATA. He has been awarded two regional instructor of the year titles, is the current sparring district champion and has finished top ten in the world rankings of ATA competition for the last three years.
