A great place to hang out with friends. The staff is so friendly and the food is always delicious! I recommend the jalapeño cheese pretzels if your just looking for a snack and the Chicago 7 pizza if you’re coming for a meal. Then there’s the beer! Join the World Beer Tour for great beer and prizes along the way!

Friendly staff and 100+ beers. Choose a beer or refer to the new menu flow chart to find pairings for beer styles with food items. The Chicago 7 Pizza is always an excellent choice. Lighter appetite? Good salads, and if you’re just out to service a snack attack try the pretzels with bits of Jalapeño baked in and served with cheese dipping sauce. Remodeled booths and the bar seating area has TVs on every wall. The restaurant side is quieter. Outdoor seating is also available.

Don’t get me wrong– I actually do like the food here, but theres one MAJOR thing wrong with Old Chicago… their name is TOTALLY misleading! My fiancé and I came in one evening and ordered a deep dish pizza, one of my favorite foods from my hometown of Chicago. My jaw literally dropped when I saw what the server delivered to our table… it was definitely not a CHICAGO deep dish pizza! A Chicago deep dish pizza has a regular crust and a thick layer of cheese with sauce on top & the toppings are in the cheese. The«Old Chicago» version of a deep dish pizza is a pizza with a really thick bready crust and a regular amount of cheese and toppings on the top. IFYOUAREGOINGTOUSECHICAGOINTHENAMEOFYOURPIZZAPLACE, MAKESUREYOURPIZZAISACTUALLYCHICAGOSTYLE! UGH! But yeah… besides that, their food is pretty good, their cheesy garlic bread is tasty and their lunch specials seem great. But definitely dont order their deep dish pizza, unless you have never tasted the awesomeness of ACTUAL Chicago deep dish pizza and your taste buds won’t be offended at the«Old Chicago» imitation.

I recently had some bad experiences with Chili’s in Eagan and decided to give Old Chicago a try again. I had not been to Old Chicago in probably 10 years. I ordered some takeout and talked a bit to the staff while waiting. Apparently Old Chicago’s menu was revamped just a few months ago. The food at Old Chicago is now excellent. My favorites so far are the«meat me» pizza(tavern thin) and the«Sicilian Pepperoni Rolls» and the«Buffalo Chicken Rolls.» The food is not cheap, but if the quality and taste are excellent I don’t mind paying a bit more. If you have not been to Old Chicago for a few years I would recommend taking a second look. Chili’s service and food in Eagan has gone way downhill so Old Chicago is my new go to place.

Was told they do not accept Unilocal discount offer provided from checking in and Unilocal did this deal without authorization. Horrible service from Ashlee and manager.

We were a little hesitant to come here because of all the bad reviews. However, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the good food and the service. We had their pizza, polish sliders, spinach salad and lasagna. Everything was delicious. The waitress was sweet and attentive. After dinner we moved over to the bar for some cocktails and live music. The solo musician(Michael Handler) was pretty awesome and the drinks were strong and large. Just our style.

Home of the most expensive beers and worst happy hour prices in Eagan! A regular pint is $ 5 and during happy hour $ 4. Every time I go here I kick myself because I never enjoy it. The beer is overpriced, inattentive servers, and a lame bartender. I don’t know why the bartender has been there so long, he’s grumpy every time we are there to everybody. Their menu has changed to a few sandwiches and this new pizza with a very weird and horrible crust. Last time I was there I said«no more this place sucks!»

It was mid-day when my girlfriend and I entered this fine dining establishment. The two TV’s pointed toward us were flashing between images of some guy laying on an operating table bleeding everywhere and a man’s disfigured, half-melted face. WHOWANTSPIZZA?! The ambiance only continued to improve as other patrons were seated around us. After a couple of minutes, it was apparent that we were dining in the waiting room of the ear, nose and throat clinic. I’d like to give a shout out to the little old lady who valiantly tried to cough out her lower intestine(despite her doctor’s wishes) and the teenage guy that repeatedly blew his nose. Yes, there were others… but they were the MVPs, really. We started with the anaheim pepper spikes. They were pretty tasty but lacked salt and the pepper to dip ratio was off. As we headed into the main course, we donned our ponchos to avoid the chunks of esophagus wafting through the air from our old lady friend. The food wasn’t great anyway. I ended up having to send the pizza back(which was ridiculously overpriced… it was the size of a personal pan pizza and came up to eleven bucks) because the dough was so raw it pulled more than the cheese. Mmm. My girlfriend’s food was okay enough. I think she ate less than half but it’s difficult to say whether that was due to the food or the constant barrage of appetizing sounds and images. Normally, I’d give this place three stars. The food is nothing to crave or call home about but it’s typically decent. I know the restaurant can’t control its patrons. I do think, though, that the mealtime movie«ER: Most Disgusting Images» would’ve been closer to my second choice. The previous two or three times I’ve been here in the last year have been blah, too. The menu changed a lot but not necessarily for the better. If you decide to get your fill after a raucous shopping trip to Kohl’s, just make sure you aren’t going on Tuberculosis Tuesdays.

I have run into this a few times before, the business is unaware or claims not to participate in Unilocal Check-in offers. On the other scenarios the deal was always honored, I have even used the same Check-in deal at this Old Chicago location before. However on this visit the Manager and Waitress wouldn’t honor the $ 2 off any Entrée for checking in, they have never even heard of Unilocal… Sad Face:(This automatically set the bar for highest rating at 3 stars. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with the Chicago 7 pizza on Chicago style crust(5 stars). It has worked for me for so long I don’t see any reason to change it when I go to this restaurant and it hasn’t disappointed yet. the pizza was great, we always get a Large so there are leftovers for the day after or later that night depending on how much beer is consumed. The beer selection is really good too(5 stars), there are a number of local and Midwest drinks available. I really like that you can build your own flight for the same price as a Pint. You get four, 4 oz samples of any beer you choose, comes out to be the same price as a Pint for most of the craft beers, with 30 beers on tap this is a great thing to me! btw, It ended up being a leftover pizza later that night kind of evening.

I’m updating this to 2 stars now that they returned the chicken nachos to the menu… apparently they listen! Beer is of good variety but can be very expensive, even at happy hour. The Eagan location has events some evenings that is way too loud. Bingo? Seriously? Wish they would outlaw smoking on the patio as well… what there is of a patio anyway. For suburban Mpls/St. Paul it might get more stars but compared globally its lucky to get 2. Ok now I feel guilty for giving it two…

Good aps. Tried the wings and the spicy fried pickles. Both were good, but the pickles were not spicy at all. I really liked the buffalo sauce. We ordered the Chicago 7 pizza, which was very good. Ordered chicago style but got thin crust. Good news is that we liked it a lot. They gave us our aps for free due to the error, which was nice.

Not knowing where to grab a bite in the Eagen area we swung in here on a whim. Our waitress Alexa helped us out with recommendations on the menu with regards to popular items and the best sides to go with them. Our food was served timely and tasted fresh. I confess of my gluttony as I tackled a Calzone all on my own. It was everything I could hope for. I recommend Old Chicago in Eagen, Minnesota

We were starving when we left Kohls and the smell of Old Chicago pizza was too tempting. We got a booth and within moments realized this was not going to be fun. The place is a magnet for families whose children all seem to be at the age when they express themselves by yelling in the only volume they have — which is the highest volume they have — OR screaming that ear piercing scream that makes your guts jump every time you hear it. Nightmare. The food was unremarkable. We had a vegetarian pizza, a glass of wine and a glass of tea. They gave a generous glass of wine and the pizza was fine — but really it’s just not worth it. For $ 30.00 we can get a better(and more peaceful) meal elsewhere. Like in the middle of a ball pit at the McDonald’s Playland.

I got pickup here last night, and I give props to the wait staff. I had ordered at 9:30, but I got stuck in my driveway and wasn’t able to get there until 10:45 pm. They were super gracious and sympathetic to my plight; I imagine dining inside here must be a good experience. 3 stars because the food wasn’t spectacular. I got the spinach and artichoke calzone, and while it was a very good size(not tiny), the crust had virtually no taste to it. Kind of like they didn’t season the dough at all. A little too expensive for the taste-lacking food, but the service was excellent. I’m going to check out their dining room when I can and give the food another shot.

Oh why? Why did I listen to my husband? On a night out, we were too tired to drive into the Cities so decided to stop at Old Chicago. What a mistake! My husband ordered the steak and shrimp and I ordered the chicken pasta. Blah… is all I can say. Perhaps the best thing was my dirty martini, but the food was so not worth the money. We spent about $ 50 for the meal and all I could think of was that it tasted like microwave food. I can’t speak for their pizza, but don’t order the other dishes.

I used to be really impressed with this Old Chicago. We had peppy waitresses who were on the ball. They would serve us immediately and get the orders right and serve them quickly. Monday was the best day to come because of karaōke. Now the place sucks. Maybe I hit it on a bad day, but our waiter seemed out to lunch. It’s a good thing the place had happy hour, or I would have been even less happy about the experience. My drinks took a long time. The food took a long time. We got our check and tried to pay it, but the server disappeared. He showed up 10min later with a revised bill because he forgot to add our second round. We tried to pay him right away, but he walked away. No tip for him!

This was one of my regular hang-outs before I moved to Boston. I actually used to live in Eagan in 2001 and would visit quite often. I took a break when they stopped serving the Happy Hour Popcorn Chicken, but now its back on the Menu. More recently I would hit up the OC on Thursday nights with my friends from MORC(Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists) after our Thursday night group rides at Lebanon Hills. We really like the servers there, not sure that they like us back???
