Let me start out by saying, what I had was good. But what I wanted was out, and my second choice was also out. My first choice was ribs, my second pulled pork. Have you ever been to a BBQ place that was out of one of those things? Let alone both?! I think a little more planning is necessary in order to assure you have enough inventory to meet your customers demands. I ended up going with the wings, of which I received about 7 of the meatiest wings I’ve ever seen. Taste was pretty good, texture was a little tough. For sides I ordered mac & cheese and potato salad. The Mac was a bit above average, better than most restaurants but not the best I’ve ever had. The potato salad tasted just like my grandma makes it(with the addition of sweet pickles), which means it was pretty damn good.

Best BBQ ever! Never had a bad meal or service! My fav is the blackened mahi. Fav sides sweet potato casserole, Mac n cheese and broccoli casserole. Get there early before they run out! Don’t forget your banana pudding to top it off. Moe’s is the best!

I was highly disappointed. They seem to care more about their overly sweet rub than the preparation of the meat. Ribs– Good cuts overly sweet rub very light to no smoke flavor drizzled in their BBQ sauce — sauce was not good and had a strong ketchup flavor Pulled Pork– overly moist No smoke flavor very little bark on the outer pieces Tasted like it was prepared in a crock pot Corn bread– I like the way it was prepared thin with a crispy top however I have never understood jalapeño corn bread, I prefer butter and honey flavors. The saving grace was a descent crab bisque and an absolutely delicious banana pudding. Seriously the banana pudding is really good.

Great food, fast service. Not as clean as it could be, but a fun barbecue-shack kind of style. Portions are not huge, but were good for lunch. Pulled pork sandwich was very tender and lean, with just enough of a vinegary sauce. Ribs were just right, tender without being over-cooked or mushy. Added some of their warm sauce and they were perfect. Sides come in little plastic cups, we could have eaten a ton more, they were delicious! The baked beans had great flavor, just a little bit of heat, and big chunks of meat; they clearly didn’t come from a can. Marinated slaw was good — fresh and flavorful but we prefer a creamier dressing. Other sides we had were specials — a chicken green chili that was a little thin but had great flavor, and skillet corn that was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

Delicious! We had the Killington and truffle fries. The staff were so friendly! I like that they source from local companies like a bakery, brewery and soda company. A very unique and filling burger and restaurant! I’d come here regularly if I lived nearby.

Great place for locals or someone on the road to stop and get some great barbecue. Very great service and pulled pork sandwiches. Also good place for kids. Includes a chalkboard and small table meant for kids. Kids eat free on Wednesday.

Second time at this Moe’s location recently. Once again, they absolutely crushed the ribs. Plump, fresh, perfect amount of dry rub. Good job Moe’s of Eagle.

Always excellent locals choice to find southern BBQ the pork is sooo good. Ribs are amazing, the shrimp po boy is what dreams are made from. A little pricey but well worth it. Free WiFi, partially good parking, cute waitresses. Lots of sports on tv.

Have eaten at Moe’s for years sporadically, mostly because my first experience was not so good, and I don’t travel to the Eagle area much. Went on a trip to Bonfire Brewery and headed down to Moe’s as a result and it was not a good experience at all. End of shift, and out of pulled pork(its a pork place after all), was told I should have come earlier. Got a ½ chicken instead and it was bland, and gave me the squirts the next morning like water. Staff no so good either, but not terrible. What ever happened to the notion and practice that customers are first, and they make the business go around? Have decided(maybe finally) that visiting Moe’s just isn’t worth it any more), will not return. Giving up, the trend is down in quality of food, and quality of caring for the customer’s needs. Really, a BBQ joint out of pulled pork, seriously?

It seems like restaurants in Colorado’s resort communities are either very expensive and good, or an expensive but mere caricature of what one could find in the metro area. Moe’s Original Bar B Que in Eagle is neither — as they have good prices, solid BBQ and good service speed. On a recent trip, from order to service for 5 people was a mere 10 minutes. With kid’s meals being $ 1 with the purchase of an adult meal(which isn’t advertised well, if at all), I was nearly dumbstruck by the final total(in a good way). The flavors here aren’t exceptional, and neither is the portion size, but the value was tremendous to try a variety of sides and options(sides were $ 1 with purchase)/ I had a Catfish sandwich with a tasty tartar-style sauce on it. The baked beans were very good, and the cornbread also hit the sport. The mud pie was small but also a nice dessert. At $ 10 for the aforementioned meal(including some coleslaw which was tough and didn’t seem overly fresh), Moe’s represents a solid option in an overheated and overpriced region of Colorado.

Real BBQ in the mountain town of Eagle? Yes. This little roadside BBQ joint and bar was just the thing after a hot day of archery. Stopped in with the family and had their pulled pork platter. Smoky and tender with just the right amount of slightly peppery sauce. Sides were small, but the whole thing came together as a perfect lunch portion. Their pork green chili side was AMAZING — smoky with a nice kick from fresh chiles. Finished off with sweet tea. For those not into land animals, they also have fish and shrimp on the menu. My daughter had the fried catfish and gave me a taste. It was lightly battered and had some great seasoning. Perfectly cooked so the fish was tender. Service was fast and friendly — a «grab your food from the counter when your name is called» affair with some private booths as well as a big table for families or community style dining. There is also a bar area with high top tables and a good bit of outdoor seating with 4-top tables and umbrellas.

I have stopped by Moe’s three or four times in the last three days. They are fast, friendly, and the food is amazing. Being from the south, I enjoy great bbq. Moe’s delivered on that. I’d go back tomorrow if I wasn’t flying back home. Eat here!!! Grab a beer!!!

Freakin’ good, amazingly FAST bbq. We stopped in before hitting up a local brewery to grab a bite, and we barely made it to the end of the counter after paying and our food was already up! The pulled pork was perfect and the baked beans are good. The cornbread was just okay(add honey) and my buddy said his banana Nilla wafer pudding was tasty. We will be back when the bbq mood strikes again! Ps — they only have brisket on certain days apparently and it sells out fast.

Solid barbecue. Tried the brisket platter with a couple of ribs on the side. Brisket had good flavor, ribs had a nice dusting of simple rub. Sides were good, turkey gumbo was excellent, mac & cheese was better than average, and the corn bread was good.

Excellent BBQ and sides. They avoid brisket except for Tuesdays all together. They are chickens… since this is the hardest bbq item to get right. The chicken was moist and good but lacked almost any smoked flavor. The pulled pork was pretossed with a little sauce to make it sure it wasnt dry. Mac and cheese was your standard fare, really enjoyed the beans and black eyed peas. Only offered one bbq sauce but included the white sauce with a few of the items. Really liked their wings but they lacked smoke but appeared to grilled a short time before serving. The cashier was not friendly or engaging and didnt offer help when ordering

Great BBQ place with a «good old boy» feel to the restaurant. Shrimp sandwich was her good and the baked beans and potato salad sides were great.
