Description

Specialties

Wild West specializes in our fresh bakery, including our World Famous Sticky Buns and Marionberry Scones. We serve breakfast (all day), lunch, dinner, frozen yogurt, as well as a wide variety of craft beers & wine. The Boise Weekly’s recent review called us «Eagle’s best kept secret», and loved our Burgers (known as Eagle’s Best) & Fish Tacos. Our Burgers are huge 8 oz. of freshly ground chuck, grilled to perfection, on a homemade challah roll. We also have our own Veggie burger. Sunset Magazine called us «Eagle’s first and friendliest espresso café». In 2010, we were named Eagle’s Business of the Year by the Eagle Chamber of Commerce.

History

Established in 1994.

Wild West was Eagle’s first espresso café. Owner Naomi Preston opened it when she decided Eagle needed great coffee and espresso. She discovered she had a passion for baking, and started selling her homemade baked goods to her customers. Naomi is also known for her famous horse, Mustang Lady, a wild mustang from Idaho’s Owyhee Mountains. Naomi felt sorry for Lady at a BLM wild horse adoption, because she had been trampled, aborted a foal, and was lame. She nurtured her back to health, and the beautiful mare became a National Champion in the sport of Endurance Riding. Naomi recently formed a volunteer group called «Beautify Downtown Eagle,» and together they landscaped an empty lot in the downtown core, with colorful flowers & shrubs.
