Business Owner

My name is Colleen Yaeger Kriebel, I have been baking since high school, so about 14 years now. I started out in the Culinary Arts program at Center for Technical Studies Norristown, Pa. After High school I went to study at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park NY. I earned my Associate Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, Alumni 2001. From there I have been gaining my experience in the field through catering, hotels, restaurant a la cart service, substitute teaching at the tech school for the culinary program, managing American and French style bakery’s and so on. I have really found my passion as a cake designer. Life has lead me to start my own custom cake business. We started small with a rented kitchen, a custom made refrigerator, a tiny 12 quart mixer, and a ton of passion to sell custom cakes to the world! The sky is the limit when you order cakes with me, anything you can imagine, we will create.

Our wedding was a little bit different then your average and Colleen and the girls at Kriebels went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and even made a cake twice for me. I recommend the chocolate chip cake with peanut butter frosting, it’s the best!

I had heard about this place from a friend and decided to try it out. The quality is very good and I am glad to support local business.
The only downside is that they don’t have many options in terms of individual servings.
I wanted to get a slice or two as Saturday snack but had to buy a whole cake instead.
I hope the owners consider that there are customers who don’t necessarily buy cakes for special occasions but just have a slice now and then and keep some options for us as well.

We (my husband & I) were visiting Philly (from Chicago) for the July 4th long weekend and it happened to be my hubby’s 30th b’day on the 4th. I called up Kriebels Bakery from Chicago & placed an order for 30 mini cupcakes with buttercream frosting ($ 1 each). Colleen was super friendly and gave nice suggestions. The outcome was… DIVINE! Gosh, never tasted such amazing cupcakes with light but yummy frosting. Ahhh, we gobbled up all the 30 cupcakes in a day, it was THAT GOOD! Wish we lived closer; I would be a regular customer at Kriebels! Thanks Colleen — your cupcakes rocked! Merci beaucoup!

We had an amazing 70th birthday cake from Kriebels. The order was easy, they helped come up with the creative design (university of Tennessee theme) and it was reasonably priced. Best of all it tasted delicious!

I ordered a European strawberry shortcake decorated with a rainbow on top and rainbow sprinkles on the sides. This was a specific request from my 4 year old daughter for her 4th birthday party. The cake was perfect. It looked great, it tasted great, people were raving about it. We just polished off the leftovers tonight, and I am still floored by how perfect that cake was! Even if I tried to come up with some tiny complaint about it, I just couldn’t. Thank you Kriebels!

Our vendor included a wedding cake through Colleen so I really didn’t know what to expect. We went to the tasting and after that I was so excited! My cake turned out to be sooooo beautiful, and of course, delicious. It far exceeded my expectations. She was so great to work with.

I went in for a small wedding cake, and spoke to Colleen. She was friendly and helpful. She looked at the photo that I brought and then showed me an example of a cake she had done with similar frosting details. The price she gave me was less than I had anticipated, and when we picked up the cake it was beautiful! Exactly what we had pictured. The buttercream was delicious and delicate, and the cake tasted great and was the perfect texture, and everyone loved it! Can’t be happier!

I had a 3D sculptured sail boat cake made for my sisters baby shower to match her theme. It was better than expected! Colors matched perfectly and was delicious! It was a hit at the party. Wonderful customer service.

It was such a pleasure dealing with Colleen. She made the groom’s cake for my step-daughter’s wedding. The cake was a beer cooler filled with the groom’s favorite craft beers. It looked so real, even the groom didn’t know it was a cake, until we told him! It was just what we envisioned and everyone was impressed! Not only did it look good, it tasted fabulous. Moist vanilla cake with delicious lemon cream filling. It was better than the wedding cake that came from another bakery. We will be back!

THE WORST!!! she uses paper cut outs on cakes!!! so, when you need to remove the paper cut outs… whooooops there goes the fondent too! buy ediable images!

Okay this could be a three and half star but closer to three than four. I went here really looking to love it. I read the reviews and was fortunate to catch the owner out front to help me decide. The top recommendation was the strawberry shortcake. I took a piece of that a baked donut a piece of the peanut butter pie and as an after thought the sticky buns. Thank god I picked up the sticky buns. They were awesome and if that’s all I bought I would have given this place five stars like the rest. The other items were not so good. Actually bad enough to drop the five star rating for the sticky buns down to a three star overall. I have yet to buy a cake and if I do I will update my review.

I bought 2 cookies for me and my daughter, both were oatmeal raisin, it was soft, chewy, and the size of a small frisbee!, after I ate it i ate the other one … AND I WASNT EVEN SORRY!
This little place houses some of the best looking cakes Ive ever seen. Not to mention the cookies are delicious

It is so hard to find a very good bake shop in Montgomery County, PA. We are so glad that there’s Kriebels Custom Bakery at Eagleville, PA. They have a lot of good cupcakes made from the finest ingredients. Top notch quality cupcakes. Not to forget their to die for — strawberry shortcake! One of a kind!
