Procedures include cosmetic dentistry, tooth colored fillings, mercury free fillings, all porcelain dental crowns, root canals, dental cleanings, dental implants, dentures, periodontal treatment, dental extractions, emergency dentist, dental bridges and partial dentures, teeth whitening. Doctor Mccarthy is a dentist who performs sedation dentistry and also utilizes laughing gas and nitrous oxide for dental phobia.

Dr. McCarthy graduated from the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1996 and has trained at some of the country’s finest universities and hospitals.

Shannon McCarthy, D.D.S. is a Board Certified Diplomate and Fellow of the National Dental Board of Anesthesia. She has practiced at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in the Departments of Oral Oncology & Anesthesiology. She is also on staff at Kaleida Health — Buffalo General Hospital.

In her personal life, Dr. McCarthy enjoys spending time with her husband and caring for their two standard poodles. Her love for these animals has inspired her interest and involvement in dog rescue and placement programs.

She often cares for a foster dog or two that are in need for forever homes. Feel free to ask her about adopting a furbaby. She is always happy to help people contact rescue groups with dogs looking for a loving family.
