I couldn’t be more happy with the Garage Store. I dealt with Tony Diaz and he was very professional and accommodating. Came to my house for a free quote and by no means was trying to «sell» me his work. He worked with my budget and was great. His crew came out and did an awesome job. They installed three wall racks, two 30″ cabinets, one 24″ cabinet, entire wall of gear works and 6 foot bench with power strip. Crew was great, very personable and professional. Would definitely recommend.

business. Jim, the owner, is very professional and trustworthy. He is also courteous, honest and listens to his customers. He never tried to over-​sell
me on products. In fact, he would
often step in and tell me to hold back on buying additional items or to wait a bit to see what I really needed in the garage. His crew is also friendly and trustworthy. Jim and his crew created an organized, clean and user friendly system in our garage. They were creative in the way they worked around old brick, plumbing and electric boxes in our city garage. We can now park two cars instead of one! Jim even organized and racked all my belongings for me and sent me pictures of the finished product while I was at work! He goes the extra mile and we are so happy with our garage. His office assitant is very friendly and calls to remind you of your appointment. I would recommend Jim to everyone and would use him again if we ever have another garage! Jim is personal and you truly feel like you are working with a small business owner and are taken very well care of. It is rare to find this level of service these days!

5 stars, hands down, one of the best service providers I have used on my house. Garage-​Store resurfaced my garage floor with their Epoxy product. The result is amazing, and I am totally satisfied. Professionally done, and with service above and beyond (they provided me a 20 foot trailer to store my garage items until the job was done, at no charge). I really liked working directly with Jim Melchert, the owner. He is loaded with great advice, and very fair with his pricing. Overall a great experience.

I am absolutely critical in my reviews and that’s because there are only a few businesses that you get what you actually pay for including work that is done right. You definitely get what you pay for using Garage Store. My experience with them was nothing short of extreme professionalism as well as great workmanship. I had two 4×8’s and one 4×6 overhanging garage shelves installed in my garage.
If you’re familiar with this shelving system, it supports about 600 – 800 lbs when installed right into the joists in your ceilings. If you think you’re handy and you order a set, it’ll still take you a long time to figure out the right way to install these shelves. I took no chances as I didn’t want to find my vehicles buried under a pile of crap from not being installed right. If you live in the city, your garage most likely has a sheet of drywall covering the ceiling and its also braced with with aluminum studs. Unless you’re familiar with construction, finding the wooden ceiling joists are difficult even with a stud finder. Now, throw in a construction crew that didn’t bother to do things with right angles and you’ll never figure it out unless you cut holes in your ceiling.
Jim was prompt during the initial quotation visit. They provided several options on the best way to secure the shelves. The day of the appointment, Anthony arrived and was early. He spent a good amount of his day working and making sure everything was right. He definitely knows what he’s doing and didn’t miss a beat installing the shelves. After sitting outside and watching him install the shelves, I was glad I didn’t do it myself. He accommodated all my requests in securing it into the concrete wall and making sure everything was sturdy. If I didn’t have that much junk in my home, I’d consider turning the shelves into a overhanging beds and renting out my garage.
If you’re in the Chicagoland area, these are the most reliable guys that can do the install for you even if you decided to purchase the shelves yourself through Costco or Home Depot. Having these pros do it is money well spent and for peace of mind.

I cannot say enough great things about the Garage Store Team. They made my cluttered garage look amazing! Their friendly and knowledgable staff took the time to listen to what my needs were and helped me select the right pieces to help organize my cluttered garage and now it looks fantastic! Best part, they did it all within my budget. As I said, I can’t say enough good things about the Garage Store team. I wish more companies out there were like this. If you’ve ever thought about giving your garage a makeover or you just simply want to organize it, don’t wait and DON’T call anyone else but these guys, you will NOT be disappointed. I highly recommend them.

Great company front sales to install! They were the only company to come out that actually gave me a personalized layout after looking at what I needed to store. They took time and designed a layout that worked in my small garage space. The quality of the Gladiator product is even better than it looks online. The installers arrived as scheduled and worked with me and happily made a couple of changes on the fly. Another great thing is that they bring ALL the different hooks and stuff with so if you don’t like the way it looks or where something is you just grab a different hook and put in a different place, no being locked into the stuff that looked good in the drawing but doesn’t work in your space. They left my garage cleaner than it started! I highly recommend them!

I easily give the Garage Store Team 5 stars. When Jim first came out, he took the time to look at the layout of my gargage and based off of my budget and needs, he came up with a great layout. I then received a call to see what day would work best for my installation. On the day of installation, the Garage Store guys showed up on time, did a great job on the install, and cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed from beginning to end. I highly recommend the Garage Store.

The Garage Store guys came out an installed an overhead shelving unit in my vintage brick garage and a I LOVE IT! I shopped around and decided to go with this family-​owned place instead of the big box stores, hoping it would mean better service and quality. And that’s exactly how it worked out!
