I love this place Paula is the best. It’s spacious and clean. Everyone is friendly. I live in Maspeth and my parents live nearby anytime I get the chance I go. I also like that while under the dryer a you can get a mani or pedi done at the same time. So it’s perfect and convenient.

I’ve been a customer of Amiris’ salon for years and my stylist/​beautician is Paola. I grew up in this neighborhood and relocated to NJ 10+ years ago and I will still drive to this salon only to get my hair done. I won’t let a few tolls hinder me from getting my hair done at my favorite Dominican salon. The salon is very well maintained and clean and after a recent expansion the adjoining salon offers mani/pedi’s. This is a full service salon. The weekends and holidays are crazy. The wait at times can truly test your patience but it’s worth it!

They do an amazing wash and set. I love going to Paola, but all of the ladies are good. I’ve got my hair done by them all. Always satisfied with the end result. Highly recommend!

Amiris is amazing and so is her entire staff. Ivette (the owner’s daughter) is my hair stylist.
All stylists are equally good but Ivette is the expert in hair color. I hold an extra bond with her, she’s really easy to talk to and she gets my vision. They recently opened a huge ‘connected’ nails/​spa salon next door. The cleanness and professionalism is like no other salon that i’d visit. They are a busy salon so early Saturday mornings work best for me. Highly recommend this salon!

I cant even begin to describe the level of unprofessionalism at this Salon. I came in on a Saturday to have a color change done to my hair, I was told at this point that the process would take over 5 hours. Being a Saturday it was very busy in the Salon so I completely understood that this was not possible to be done today. I spoke to the Salon owner’s daughter and she explained the process to me and that I could book an appointment with to come in at 9 AM on Monday to get the job done. I called that Monday morning at 8:30 and said that I could not come in at 9 but I will be their at 11 the person answering the phone said yes that is not a problem at all. I came in at 11 the three women their said that today is «***» (the owner’s daughter) day off and she is not here she would be the only one to do my hair. The woman then called her and told her I was their. She spoke with me on the phone and lied saying that she was their two hours ago. I booked this appt. two days prior and she didnt even show up after it being the secound time that I came their for the same job. She then told me that I could feel free to go to another salon. Which I highly reccomend to other costomers who are considering to come here if they want to work with respectful people. They clearly do not care about their coustomers. If I could give this 0 stars I would.

Love this dominican hair salon!!! They do such a great job for affordable price. Nana is my hair stylist, she also does my daughters hair. We always come out happy because she takes her time to make sure your hair looks good.
