Business Owner

My name is Alana and I didn’t always grow up dreaming that I would be a pastry chef. I am the 4^th of 6 siblings born to an entrepreneurial mother. Watching my mother work long hours of the day allowed me to really develop the ability to work long hours into the night. My mother taught me how to bake at an early age.

After migrating to the United States, I attended college as an international student and an extraordinary thing happened. My niece turned 16 and I was given the responsibility of making her cake. I researched how to design and assemble the cake. To my surprise, the cake turned out amazingly well and A’s Exquisite Cakes was born.

My future goal is attending the International culinary institute of America. I believe that it would help me achieve the level of professionalism and detail that I love to bring to my work.
