Mandarin Chinese Interpreter/​Translator

I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker who has been living in East Lansing, Michigan for more than 30 years. I have provided translation/​interpreting services from English to Chinese and Chinese to English in the business/​legal/​health fields for more than 20 years.

BA in English Language and Literature; MA in Linguistics. Developed 3 Chinese courses at Lansing Community College and taught them for 14 years. Taught Chinese classes at Lansing Chinese School for 5 years; taught Chinese as a Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University for 2 years while earning my Master’s degree in Linguistics. Registered translator/​interpreter for Michigan’s Secretary of State since 1991. Currently working closely with Michigan 54A, 54B District Courts, Ingham County Court, 55^th District Court as a Mandarin Chinese interpreter.
