Ochoa Salon & Day Spa

I came to this salon to get a haircut and do something new with the color of my hair. I had Gina for a stylist, who has a great personality and is professional. She gave me suggestions for my hair and she did a wonderful job! She cut my hair, made the layers look perfect, and highlighted my hair in a way that was modern but subtle– just what I was hoping for. She was very helpful in giving me tips on how to style my hair at home.
The salon is very nice inside and and the staff are very professional. I am so excited and relieved to have finally found the perfect salon and stylist! Exceeded my expectations and highly recommend!

I was thrilled to go to Ochoa Salon to finally, after much thought, color my hair. After all, they had good reviews online and the pictures of their work looked okay. It is featured online as a high end salon so I thought I was going to get good quality experience. I told Lisa that I wanted a balayage and showed her a picture with exactly what I wanted. She started applying color and it looked to me more like highlights than balayage but I thought: «she is the expert and must know what she is doing». After washing my hair and starting to blow dry it I realized that it was completely not what I asked for and not only that, I HAD PATCHES OF BLOND HAIR (like a cheetah!) on parts of my hair. I figured I’ll just see the end product. Right after that she and another employee start to both blow dry my hair at the same time, exactly like you will blow dry your worst enemy’s hair. I ended up with the most plain, lifeless and horrible blow dried hair you could imagine. After all my disappointment started to pile up I ask her about those blond patches. Then she proceeded to mix new black color hair dye and apply it directly to my already blow dried hair. After that she grabbed a water spray bottle and spray where she applied the new black color dye and wiped those section with a towel… WITH A TOWEL! After this she blowed dried my hair on top of that. I wish I was making this up because then I will still have $ 148 in my wallet and my old hair.

As I let the stylist know, I have been growing out my hair for more than 5 years. I showed her a picture of haircut ending at the middle of my chest and now I am sitting at home crying with a shoulder skimming new ‘do. Short hair isn’t flattering on me. I am incredibly upset.

I’ve been getting my hair cut & colored by Avis at Ochoa for years now. She does her best to keep my style current, which is great because that’s not my strength. My experiences have always been positive. The one time in nearly 2 decades that I didn’t like my color, she fixed it for free. She cuts my children’s hair too. They love her.

Lovely, modern salon. Tina is the best for color!!! I’ve gone through many hairstylists, none of them compare to her.

I’ve gone to Ochoa over the past several years for many different services. Its an upscale trendy place. Everything I’ve done at the spa has been a good experience. I’ve had a facial and a massage. The massage therapists were very good and professional. I also had my hair and makeup done here for my wedding. They did a really good job accommodating my whole bridal party and family. The price was also fair for wedding hair and make up. I get my hair cut here regularly as well, I feel the hair cuts are a little overpriced, but I’m typically satisfied.

I saw Orapin over a week ago for a regular manicure. I believe my first chip appeared on day 7 — unbelievable. She did an impeccable job. As a first time customer, the salon even gave me a small gift. Great service at Ochoa and a very long lasting manicure — the best I’ve had.

I went to Ochoa yesterday in desperate need of some hair color. Ana did my hair. And honestly it was absolutely terrific. She did exactly what I wanted and did it fast! She was very nice and although she did talk to me she didn’t talk my ear off which was awesome! Also, I explained to her that although my ends were damaged I was trying to grow my hair out, instead of just chopping my hair like most stylist would do, we did a conditioning treatment and my hair feels and looks absolutely amazing. This place is trendy and clean and I will most def be going back! 5 stars, go there you won’t regret it. Upstairs they also have a full SPA (which I will be trying out next time!)

I’ve been a patron of Ochoa since 2006. Once you find the right stylist, you’ll never leave. For me that stylist is Avis, she is an artist. She keeps my hair healthy and always on trend. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I just had an appointment with Gina and I wanted to come here and give her a great rating!
I have curly hair and this the best cut I’ve been given. I’ve had a few stylists tackle my curls and they’ve all done the same old same old layers. Gina used a technique of cutting with the curve of the curl that I’ve never had done before and it worked! I love the cut and she was really helpful and friendly the whole time.
Also, the price was fair and I appreciate that.
Based on ability/​knowledge, price, and personality — I recommend Gina. And if you’re a curly-​haired girl whose been looking for someone who knows what they’re doing, I confidently recommend her.

Over that time I’ve had my hair cut by a number of different people. I’m pretty easygoing, but I can say that in all that time I’ve never had a single issue at Ochoa.
It’s always clean, friendly, efficient, and trendy.
Prices for guys are very reasonable too!

I’m very particular when it comes to my hair. I’ve had very bad experiences that have scared me from hairdressers. I used to get my hair colored and it was so fried from being highlited by a horrible hair dresser at attitudes in East Longmeadow. I started going to Ochoa over 10 years ago. I started seeing Kara, she would cut my hair the way i liked it, the way i’ve been getting it done for the past 10 years. One day i got home after getting my hair cut and I was crying and screaming at my mom to admit to me that my hair was longer on one side. I was FREAKING OUT! i was so upset. I had gone to her for a while until this incident. I called and I went in the next day and she free cut my hair while it was dry, needless to say i was still very upset. I switched to a guy hair dresser, a first for me. TJ. I’ve been seeing him ever since and he’s done a great job with whatever I ask. Then again i’m not too fancy when it comes to my hair. I dont get my hair colored or dyed or any crazy treatments. So if your looking for a good cut, I defiantly recommend him.
