Probably the best street tacos I have ever had. Great flavor and plenty of food for your buck. Get there early and enjoy.

Juicy tacos Al Pastor are delicious! Two benches do the job for seating here and you really don’t need anything more.

Hmm. only 2 reviews got me a wee bit skeptical and both 5 stars to boot. Well George P. and Sunny D., your secret is out. This place rocks. First, it’s only 2 blocks away from King Taco aka King Asco. It’s actually in the parking lot of a mechanic’s shop so parking isn’t an issue yet. They serve asada, chorizo, lengua, tripitas, pastor, and some other cut I can’t remember. All of them are tasty. They warm the tortillas on the same grill they cook the meat so the tortillas are moistened by the grease. They use the small tortillas but fill them up generously with meat plus they have grilled onions and jalapenos. The asada was very moist and seasoned just right. The pastor and chorizo were tasty but lacked the spiciness of other places. That’s okay with me since I’m into tasting my food rather than burning my mouth. The sides were decent with the typical faire. The salsas are all home made and delish but I do wish they had the avocado/guacamole sauce. Warning-no place to sit but in your car or just stand and eat. Also, drinks were a little limited by the size of the cooler they had so you may want to byo soft drinks. I think this place goes straight to the top of my fave taco stands. They also serve burritos, quesadillas and mulitas. I’ll be trying those on my next visits. Highly recommend. Hours are 6:30PM to 12:30PM. Enjoy!

One of the best around!!! I regularly go there once a week or so after work or when visiting in-laws nearby and order 10 tacos for myself! Angel used to set up a block away from where my wife used to live when I dated her. We decided to go one night and I was totally stoked how good the tacos and the sauces were. The salsas are home made and are really good, I loved the one he had that was light brown in color and just had a great smoky and nutty aromas and flavor, mildly hot. He was nice enough to reveal all the ingredients to his salsas. I shared that smoky-nutty salsa with my friends and they loved it so much that sometimes we call angel before we come by and tell him make us a quart of that salsa and we pay him for it. He also has a green salsa and a very hot habanero salsa that are very good. Like the first person said, everything is fresh, the onions, cilantro, salsas, meat, jalapenos. He even sells soft drinks to go with the tacos. He cooks it right in front of you. Everything is just moist enough without being greasy, just right amount of salt used where meat is not too salty. Taco Jalisco’s hours are 6pm to 1am at 4346 East Cesar Chavez Avenue, Los Angeles, CA90022

Heck, my mouth is watering as I write this. A few days ago, I spent an weeknight with a bunch Foodies discovering the local taco trucks in East L.A. I have always been familiar with the humblest of these businesses because growing up in Los Angeles and shopping around the garment district meant grabbing a bite of quick eats. What I really love about taco stands are the uniqueness of each taco and the fact that most recipes(in this case marinade meats) are passed down from generation to generation. Of all the taco places we checked out, I liked Tacos Jaliscos por Angel the best. I liked that it was a taco cart, yes, a cart and not a truck in which you can watch Angel and his buddies make the tacos right in front of you. My favorite was Angel’s tacos lengua. The other taco trucks that I visited an hour before were just okay, because the beef tongue was a little overly fried and almost to a crisp that you can’t taste the gamey flavor that beef tongue is synonymous for. Angel keeps the lengua wholly intact in a steam table, then he cuts it up in tiny morsels to reheat on the grill to enhance the natural flavors. This taco tasted better by itself without any salsa or condiments. I did get grilled onions on top and it was just as fantastic! Angel makes Lengua tacos the best! I also liked the Chorizo tacos. Again, the meat was not fried to a crisp. Angel already has the chorizo cooked and warmed in the steam table and he sticks the meat in the grill for a tad bit of a char to enhance the flavors. He makes them the best too. In all, I paid less than $ 3 for a couple tacos and a glass of Horchata. Not too shabby for a quick bite to eat in East L.A. I’ll be back to find Angel and his tacos. According to Angel’s brother, they are regular vendors at several Los Angeles area Farmer’s Markets. Unfortunately, they don’t have a web site to find their next location. I was recommended to call their number to find out where they will be dishing out. As far as I know, they are hubbed in East L.A. for late night grub. I can’t wait for my next set of tacos. I have yet to try the Tripa and the Cabeza.
