The Cake Lady Café opened a second location in Spring of 2013. The Cake Lady Express located in East Lyme, CT, offers the same delicious custom cakes Cake Lady patrons love. In addition, as the name suggests, we also offer many ready-​to-​go items available for immediate purchase including dessert cakes, cake-​pops, devil dog puppies and 15+ flavors of filled cupcakes daily.

History

Established in 2013.

Charlene Lindquist, owner of The Cake Lady Café in New London, CT has been in business for 20+ years. The demand for Cake Lady products eventually became too much for one shop. In Spring of 2013 Charlene decided to open a second location in her home town of East Lyme, CT. Charlene wanted the second location to offer the same custom cakes and also a wide selection of ready-​to-​go items. Because of this she dubbed the new «cakery» The Cake Lady Express.

The Cake Lady Express is managed and operated by Tiffany, one of Charlene’s two lead decorators. Tiffany has been a cake decorator for over ten years and worked with Charlene for six years.
