Scolrx is a division of Physical Therapy Services which was established in the 1980’s. Scolrx was created in order to bring Schroth Best Practice™ to NY and Long Island areas. Schroth, a conservative method for treating scoliosis, has been proven effective in halting progression of scoliosis and even reducing some curves. This is accomplished through corrective rotational breathing and postures for activities of daily living. Schroth was developed in Europe in the 1920’s and has continually been used successfully there. Schroth Best Practice™ is the latest, most user friendly version of the Schroth method. Freda Nogee, Physical Therapist, is the only practitioner certified in this program in the NY area.

Business Owner

Freda Nogee, a physical therapist with extensive experience, is owner and director of Physical Therapy Services. While involved in a more traditional way with scoliosis over the years through private practice and in schools, she became involved with Scroth methodology while searching for alternatives for her own daughters who have scoliosis. She found the program so beneficial on so many levels that she spent several years becoming proficient at it. Ms Nogee was one of 11 carefully chosen practitioners to recently become certified in Schroth Best Practice,™ the latest, easiest to use version of Schroth. Ms. Nogee believes individuals should have as much control as possible over their medical conditions and feels this program gives one that control over their scoliosis. She is passionate about the program, dedicated to it and is sensitive to the emotional issues that might accompany the condition. She is the only therapist certified in Schroth Best Practice™ in New York.
