Facenda Whitaker Lanes is a 24⁄7 bowling alley that has been serving East Norriton, PA since 1959. A visit to our lanes are perfect for all ages and any occasion. With over 50 lanes of interactive bowling alley equipment, our facility boasts over 300 more games than any other center in the area. Been coming to Facenda Whitaker since I was a kid… very clean well maintained place. Nice staff very well run and the sports bar inside has surprisingly good food at a great price.

This is a great place to take the kids, grab lunch and bowl a few frames. They participate with the kids bowl free program during the summer which makes it even more affordable. It’s clean, staff is friendly and helpful and the arcade area has good games with the ability for the kids to get a decent prize. I recommend. Nice to have locally too.

I have a love/​hate relationship with this bowling alley…
Things I like:
Super clean
Open 24 hours
Steppy’s has good food, and a great outdoor bar
Nice arcade
Things I don’t like:
One bartender, who I won’t call out online, is almost always a dick while working the window
They won’t let me use a 6 pound ball, with no other explanation other than, «because you’re an adult.» Even after I explained my wrist injury.
With a few customer service tweaks, this could be a great bowling alley.

Lane conditions for leagues are almost always awesome. It can be a bit of a struggle if you’re the second league in and there isn’t enough time for them to reoil the lanes.
Staff is super friendly at the desk and Dennis runs some awesome leagues (it’s almost like he knows what people are there to have a good time).
They generally have a great deal for summer leagues… join a summer league and you get a VIP card that entitles you to free bowling all of June, July and August whenever lanes are available. If you’re new to bowling this is perfect because the summer leagues are shorter (14 – 16 weeks) and you basically get free practice from the VIP card.
This is how I started bowling back in 2006 and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Join any league that Dennis runs and you’ll have a blast!

The company I work for has had a few team building events here. The bowling alley is clean, spacious, has decent food, and a full bar. They also have a separate patio/​bar area which is nice too. We do enjoy coming back here! They always take care of us:

Loooooove this place! So much fun and they have pretty good deals too. The best thing is that it’s a great alley for families too not just singles or young people. The best part is the open window to the bar next door, get some good wings and a beer with some bowling. Hell of a fun time!

This place is great! I recently went here on a Saturday night with a few friends to get a few games in. The alley is sizable and up to date. There are over 50 lanes, and the screens above the lanes looked relatively new. Not to brag, but we bowled so many strikes and got a ton of use out of the animations on the screen.
The music was awesome; took me back to my elementary school days with all the 90s rock. Rumor has it Facenda’s doesn’t own any music past 2001, so it’s definitely a great place to bowl while reminiscing about your Starter jackets and bowl cuts.
I’m not sure about food, but you’re able to get beers from a small window at the connecting Steppy’s Sports Bar. I personally get better as I drink, so this was a huge convenience for me.
On some nights, it gets so busy it can be difficult to find a ball. You may get stuck with a 7 lb ball with holes fit for a toddler or an 18 lb ball suitable for an olympic powerlifter. Nonetheless, Facenda’s provides a good atmosphere for a good value. At 3.50 per rental and 5.50 per person per game, it’s a great value for anyone to have a good time.

I’m certainly not an avid bowler but I would definitely recommend this specific bowling establishment. Accommodated a very large party of fifteen with 3 lanes next to one another, and this was on a Friday night. We did wait about 30 minutes but the original plan was to enjoy food and drinks at the restaurant next door, Steppys. Very clean, plenty of balls, decent and even some new shoes, and updated with touch screens and large TV screens. Even had a few projection screens broadcasting the popular sports game currently playing. Very kid (or inexperienced adult like myself) friendly with gutter bumpers that move up and down on command. Very inexpensive date night that a couple or a group of friends can enjoy together!

Of all the alleys in the area, I’ve like this one the best. The equipment is well maintained, and there’s a ton of lanes. They’ve got a good pro shop, and there are usually specials at the attached bar. They recently added a patio to the bar which I’m a fan of. It’s open 24 hrs. Midnight bowling is a good deal on the weekends. Expect birthday parties on the weekends.

Ok lanes Thursday night 15people including the lil bar with live music… bought a coke a cola in a plastic 8oz cup 1.50 and the tuna melt was horrible! It got two stars cause I cant front the lanes are in good shape and the staff was good and helpful! And by the way the music… lol lets just say they played please Dont go girl by new kids on the block lol like foreal and there were dorks singing and dance to it… if you want up to date bowling alley stay away from this place… if your stuck in the 80’s xome here lolololololololololololololololololo lo ol

Took my little (youth mentorship) here to bowl a few games and had a great experience.
The lanes were in great shape and functioned smoothly. The computer systems aren’t the über fancy facebook-​integrated ones but were still touch screens that worked well and had some cool features like giving you the speed of your ball each time. Prices were not bad– about $ 5.50 a game I believe.
The gentleman at the desk was extremely friendly and especially nice to my little. He grabbed a lower weight ball for him and set up our lane so the bumpers would come up only for him and not me (he did let me know that they won’t let any kids 10 years old or older play with bumpers). Kids’ shoe rentals were free and adults were around $ 3.50.
The place has a huge amount of lanes as well as a pretty decent and modern arcade and a connected bar/​restaurant (a sign on the entrance indicated 21+ only).
The main line bowling alleys could learn a thing or two from this Norristown one. Worth the extra drive time and I definitely plan to return here again.

The worst service available. I had to wait for 30 minutes to receive service for bowling shoes when I arrived before the other customers. Although the lanes are nice, the staff members are rude and discriminates. All the minorities are placed on one side of the room. They also give crappy, slow customer service to minorities. I would not recommend this place. I’m paying for your customer service so that I can quickly start bowling and enjoy the environment. Such a lovely bowling alley, buy how can I enjoy it when I am getting mistreated?

I haven’t been here for a few years, but decided to go bowling on my birthday. We came in the morning while there was a woman’s league in session. But we easily got a lane and started bowling.
The lanes and bowling area was clean. The automated scoring system is easy to use. And we had a great time.
I’ve always liked this bowling alley and if you want to bowl, you can go ANYTIME. They are open all the time.

Open 365 24⁄7 with 50 lanes. Countless leagues for all skill levels. Decent arcade w/​tickets for the kids.
They could use more lane ball finger sizes for those adults with bigger hands and who don’t have their own ball.
Steppys bar is on the premises w/​decent food and drinks. It is a little pricey. It is standard american food.

If you want to get better at bowling, this is the place to be.
Although you have to come later in the night. They have late night bowling options where you pay a flat fee and you get to play for a set amount of time. Usually its on friday nights and sunday nights. «Midnight bowling» as they call it is a great time to work on your game and practice your bowling game. The lanes are taken care of and the balls are not to shabby either.
Or just go with some friends, split the costs, and have a good time bowling without caring about how many games you are playing due to costs. They have food and beer too, nothing special but its something to munch on and drink while playing

I went bowling here with some friends from the area. It was reasonably cheap and the alley is nice. The décor is a little cheesy and dated, but the scoring system is computerized and the alley doesn’t scream 70s throwback like the one near my house… so I was impressed. I would definitely come back next time we’re in the area.
Also considering there was an impending hurricane with Irene I was shocked how jam packed this place was, but it speaks for the quality of the place.

The Facenda-​Whitaker Lanes bowling alley is open 24 HOURS. (No, that’s not a typo. I’m not kidding.)
This large suburban venue is host to bowling tournaments, training, and bowling clubs meet here as well. It’s crowded with locals (and then some), and since Steppy’s next door serves food (typical bar fare) and drink via a little connecting window, you could practically live here if someone bankrolled your living expenses. The Lanes offer all the typical amenities (like shoe rentals) plus a large private parking lot, and LASER LIGHTSHOW BOWLING. Tacky but fun, and worth a visit for sure.
