Embassy Suites East Peoria – Hotel & RiverFront Conf Center

This place is nice. The courtyard is a great escape from, y’know — Peoria. The breakfast was good, the omelet/​waffle guy works his tail off. The rooms were nice and quiet with a nice mattress.
Wifi was pretty weak though, I’m glad I didn’t have to do business as this was a weekend trip.

I would say it is like your traditional Embassy Suites hotel room. Still, quite comfy and a nice /​helpful staff. The managers reception was a nice time to unwind from work.

I’ve stayed at this Embassy Suites about ten times since it has been open. I can’t think of anything wrong with it — it’s a huge, classy looking hotel that is run very well. It’s clean, the rooms are nice, and all the staff we met were super friendly. Shout out to Donna, who hosted/​bar tended the managers reception and was awesome. I

Hotel is ok. Good location. Only bad mark is watching the mouse run across the floor in the breakfast area. Lost my appetite.

Very helpful staff… like when you have forgotten your toothbrush. The hosted cocktail hour is very nice – excellent drinks and snack foods. I ate at the restaurant twice, take out both times, and was very happy with both my choices (Burger and homemade chips one day, turkey club with salad the next).

We were here for a convention and decided to have a look at the hotel. After looking it over we decided to stay the night here. Hotel is beautiful and quite and staff is extremely friendly. We will definitely be staying here again!

we stay year every year the week before valentine’s day and last year and this year on saturday night there is a herd of scummy people that get 4 hotel rooms for like 40 people. they use the pool non-​stop so my family and i are forced to do nothing but other things… as my children only want the pool it is hard to find anything fun for them to do. breakfast on sunday is horrible because this «herd» takes up the entire eating area and then runs for the pool after. we will not be staying here ever again… especially on a saturday night! can’t believe a big expensive hotel like embassey would allow this «room stuffing». oh and to top it off, this herd was in the pool and rough housing so much they were warned but management never came back to check on them. our children were hit with balls and knocked into so we were getting ready to get out and then a one of the herd kids puked and the whole pool was shut down… the mom of this child that puked just walked out of the pool like it wasn’t her kid… wth!

No free wifi, even if you are a HH member, unless you have gold status.
Spacious room with a fine bed, and what would be a nice view if not for a Stake n’ Shake.

Great service and housekeeping was amazing. Left my personal iPad in the room, and the staff sent it to me overnight. It was perfectly packaged and arrived the next day.

When in Peoria, this is a nice place (especially if you have guests). Staff was VERY friendly and professional and rooms were very nice and well appointed (the beds are the bomb!), Neat courtyard to look down on and there is an evening reception and morning breakfast. Check for corporate rates.

We took our daughter and a few friends here for her surprise birthday party and all I can say is WOW! The entire staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Everyone was helpful and staff was always working around the hotel to keep it clean. The pool was very nice and the two times we were down there they were stocking the towels even if it didn’t need it so there were always plenty. We went to the managers reception and it was very nice, the manager Shawn was very visible and walking around checking on the guests. He was very pleasant and friendly. Room service was good and quick! Our room was very nice and clean. If you are looking for a nice place to stay this is the place. A big thank you to the entire embassy staff for making our stay enjoyable!

How many bad things can I say?

2. Charge for parking (huh?)
3. Front desk staff rude
4. Management even worse
5. Booked riverview room; got room overlooking parking lot («but it’s a corner room»)
6. Most TV channels don’t work because «it’s windy»
7. Told them I’ll never stay here again, their response was «good»
This place sucks! Save your money, stay somewhere decent.

A great hotel for east Peoria. Since it’s a conference center it’s a bit larger than a typical embassy, and pretty new. The interior colors aren’t the most modern but when inside, it’s obvious that you’re in a nice establishment. Prices are not outrageous, and my river view room was nice. The food was great and the hotel had a nice manager appreciation with a two hour open bar that I really enjoyed. The only thing that I could say is negative is the time to check in, as well as the inconvenient parking situation.

I recently traveled to East Peoria to attend a work conference at the Embassy Suites. I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel and conference center. I had a 2-​room suite to myself. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Even the bath products were nice: Crabtree & Evelyn. I definitely swiped a few products for future trips. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant as well.
The free hot breakfast and manager’s reception was an added bonus. I also enjoyed the meals and snacks that were provided in the conference center. I wouldn’t mind returning to East Peoria for future conferences.

This is a great property. The front desk staff was friendly. The soon was well appointed. The beds were comfy. The pillows were SOOOO squishy, just the way I like them.
The suites are pretty big. There is a large sitting are that is seperated by a door. The room faced the river and had a beautiful view day and night.
The cake topped here is the manager’s reception in the afternoon and the complementary hot breakfast. The black bean dip and queso fresco was yummy. The breakfast spread was large. Oatmeal, omelettes made to order, Belgium waffles, cereals, bacon, eggs, sausage, yogurt… Coffee teas milk juice. C’mon where do you get that kind of breakfast complementary…
This is a quality hotel. If I’m ever in the area again this is where I’ll stay.

Based on reviews, we stayed here for one night of our honeymoon. It’s a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. We had a river view. The glass elevator and water fountain in the lobby were impressive. All of the staff we encountered were friendly.
I agree with the reviewer who said the hotel is difficult to find. As someone not familiar with the area, it was a little confusing. I also agree with the several reviewers who mentioned the walls are thin. We stayed here on a Sunday night, so it wasn’t horrible, but we could hear our neighbors, and I can only imagine it would be worse on a busy weekend night.
In the interest of being honest (I’m not trying to be negative, but…): The décor in this hotel is terrible! It’s so… orange! Since it’s a newer hotel, it’s passable for now, but in 5 – 10 years, it’s going to do look really dated. The place already looks like it was straight out of the 70’s. Just wait until things start to get worn down. Not good.
I left a separate review for the hotel restaurant (The Riverside Café). It was way overpriced with really sub-​par food and a surprisingly small menu. I wish we were able to take advantage of the free breakfast, but it was only available from 7 – 9. There was a coffee shop, which was nice, but I had heard so much about the breakfast, only to realize we were too late for it. Really, this is more of an amenity for the business traveler. As much as I love breakfast food, I’m not waking up early for it when I’m on a personal trip.
In general, this hotel is oriented toward the business traveler. Obviously, it’s also a conference center, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I just wanted to mention that it’s not very ‘personal’, and certainly not romantic or leisurely at all. I no longer travel for business, so while this is a very nice hotel, I would NOT likely stay here again.

I was at this place for a conference and I’d definitely go back.
It’s an open center hotel so all of the activity is in the center of the place and you can see all of the other floors and lobby from your room (if you can handle looking over the rail).
The room was very spacious and had the couch/​table room with a work desk, a wet bar with fridge, and a large sleeping room. It’s as large as an apartment. The room was very clean and inviting.
The conference center is attached and is very large. For my conference there, they had coffee readily available and we were given lunch. The lunch was very good for a mass served meal. Well above expectations. The conference rooms have all of the equipment you’d need to host one and you could probably fit 10 – 1000 people easily.
The free breakfast and buffet is nice. I thought the food quality was good and they have a lot of items. The omelet made for me was very good.
The free drinks in the afternoon (called «manager’s reception») was a very nice touch and they weren’t serving el-​cheap-​o stuff.
Overall, a very nice place and a good value considering the price you pay. If you just want a place to sleep it may be a bit of overkill, but if you are staying a couple of days or at a conference it’s a great choice.

This is a nice, newer property in a good location along the river, within walking distance to several restaurants.
The included breakfast had a good selection of food and we found out that there was also an evening reception with snacks and drinks available.
The room was a suite, quite large and nice. Our only complaint was that shortly after we turned off the lights to go to sleep, our neighbors on the fifth floor came back to their room. It sounded like at least four people, and I honestly do not think they were being rowdy at all, just conversing, but from the sounds of it they might as well have been in our suite with us.
I’m guessing that the walls of the room were not very well soundproofed.

I’ve been here for work in the conference center and for church. They are very clean and the conference centers are huge. When they do catering here, the food is always delicious. I always look forward to events that are hosted here because they never cease to amaze on the food. I know they take chefs from local culinary arts schools and I think that really pays off. They have a great attention to detail and they don’t skimp on the quantity of food they provide.
The bathrooms are super clean and you get everything you’d «expect» from an Embassy Suites.
