Very unprofessional! Bought a Groupon! Made two appointments. The first one she cancelled on me and I made this appointment about 6 weeks in advance! She texted me to say she wouldn’t be able to make it and then ignored my phone calls and never returned any of my phone calls to reschedule. So I go online and schedule a 2^nd appointment, she NEVER showed up, nor did she answer the phone! Save your money! Try to support small businesses and this is what you get with this company. You might as well go and spend your good money some where else! Luckily it was a Groupon and I could dispute the charges because this company has a NO REFUND policy. Thats sad! If a company can’t gurantee Great service or your money back, might as well not even deal with that company because they can give you the worst service and make you pay top dollar for a sh*tty service! Then they have to ask for a credit card on file to charge you $ 30 if you cancel! Luckily the card I used is no longer valid! But I would definitely say save your money, your gas, and your time because theres a high chance she will never show up or answer your calls! This is ridiculous!

I purchased a 60 minute massage on Groupon for Rejuvenate Wholistic Wellness in April. After purchasing the discount I scheduled my appointment on their website. I received several emails after that telling me that my appointments had been cancelled. After every email I contacted them and they said to disregard the emails, that my appointment was still on the books as scheduled. As my appointment date came up, I received another email from them saying they had overbooked for that day and had to cancel my appointment. I made several phone calls to them asking to speak with a manager and was transferred every time to voicemail. when I was able to speak to someone, they said there is nothing they could do even though I scheduled the appointment two months in advance. Needless to say to got my money back from Groupon and will never be scheduling an appointment with this unprofessional business.

This is a low-​budget joke of a «spa”/wellness center for people who have never been exposed to a real massage so they simply don’t know better. Jamaka (when she was there) was quite pleasant and gave good massages though her skills would often be downplayed by Kenyatta (who is supposedly the best there but actually the biggest joke there). My first encounter with this spot came as a result of finding them on Groupon and buying a voucher. As I said, Jamaka was good but working with Kenyatta was rough on a good day. She’s unprofessional and has a pretty bad attitude for someone who expects to have a successful business that actually involves dealing with people. I went to Serenity for a massage a total of 3 times (I got caught up in that frequent customer program) and while I had no issue with Jamaka, my encounters with Kenyatta worsened each time.
With the initial Groupon, I did not receive a FULL massage as advertised. The massage was shorter and completely skipped my arms. Since I’ve been for $ 100+ massages, I figured maybe this part was skipped due to the price. However, I learned this was not the case upon my next visit. While it was a fully body massage, Kenyatta interrupted the session 3 times, stepping out for 5 – 10 min each time, speaking loudly in the waiting area. There was never an apology for this behavior and of course she did not make up for the time that was missed due to her stepping out.
After finally having my fill of this foolishness, I requested my money be refunded so I could take my business elsewhere. Now, while Kenyatta was always quick to send an email requesting I move my appointment or for anything else, if you guessed she did not EVER respond to my request for a refund, you’d be correct. She was SO unprofessional that she never even returned a call after A WEEK of calling about this matter! It usually was difficult to get a human on the phone there, but when I did, she stated she would give Kenyatta the message. Apparently she did because later that weekend I had Kenyatta’s partner (who knew she had one) call me and set up an appointment at her College Park location. Since when was a refund so difficult?! You really try to support businesses of color but the practices are so shady and unprofessional, I will definitely going back to midtown for my expensive massages because you can guarantee a thorough job will be done, there will a certain level of professionalism and their business practices will be legitimate.
Don’t waste your time at this place guys, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF THAT!!! Unilocal should give ½ star options because I don’t want to mislead people and make them think these folks even deserve the one full star I had to give them. This place is a pure joke.

I was first introduced to this place using a Groupon. I started going for massages when they were in the old building. Since Janet has left this massage place I feel like the business has taken a nose dive. No one answers the phone when you call, the door is locked and inside black when you arrive for your scheduled appointments. Service no longer exist here. Most of all I regret prepaying for my now massages I’m unable to claim. This is just my personal experience…

Conclusion: Serenity Wholistic Wellness provided excellent service. Had a session in which I thought the hour massage was definitely good. I’m sure everyone goes through the everyday stresses of life itself. Whether it is a spa or wellness, it is recommendable to take yourself to one of the establishments to mentally & physically relax. The area I was relaxing! The massage was hitting areas on my back that I didn’t think were even there. The hot stones was very soothing mixed with different massaging techniques to make the experience all worth it. The establishment comes with different packages and discounts. Definitely recommend and can see myself curving the review.

I was referred to Kenyata of Serenity Wholistic Wellness LLC by a friend, and I was not disappointed! Exactly the opposite!
1) You can book online. Easy!
2) You can add comments when booking online. I did, and Kenyata was well-​prepared when I arrived!
3) The price is amazingly inexpensive ($ 33 + tip is an unbelievable deal for the quality of treatment)
I have herniated disks in my neck and back and had been suffering headaches for a week. I also have chronic tennis elbow in both arms. Kenyata had read my comments, was familiar with both conditions, and gave me an amazing deep tissue massage. I was so impressed that I bought a 3-​pack of massages for $ 100. used those in 10 days, and bought another one! The first massage erased my headaches and the successive ones have been working out adhesions and knots in my neck, upper back, and shoulders that cause me headaches and discomfort.
The room is warm, quiet, and serene. With each massage Kenyata addresses my trouble areas, finding tight spots that I didn’t even know I have. She also mixes up the massages, adding trigger point, hot stone, deep tissue, and various therapies for a truly customized experience each time.
There is ample (and secure) parking around the building, the office is easy to find (enter the center door, go up the stairs, go left at the top of the stairs and then right, and her suite is on the right), and the convenience of booking online cannot be beat!
You don’t need a groupon or any special pricing deal to see Kenyata at Serenity Wholistic Wellness. The price and service are amazing as-​is.
