So Fresh & So Clean

On my last visit to the East Providence store, I paid for the full service. The exterior was cleaned OK as was most of the windows. The passenger side windshield (interior) was left with white smears.
They never dusted the dash or anything else inside. Too bad I didn’t notice it until I was almost home and it was past their closing time.

Dashboard wasn’t cleaned at all. Opened the hatch and that wasn’t vacuumed so I asked him to. He said «that’s an extra five dollas.» I said «ok». He had me close the back hatch for some reason, backed up then got in line to get an ice cream cone haha. I got in my car and left.
Also, it was busy so I won’t hold it against them but the whole process took 45 minutes. I’d rather do it myself.

Would put 0 as the rating, but that’s not an option. I bought a Groupon and I scheduled an appointment for my car to be dropped off at the beginning of the day, and picked up at the end. I had this confirmed via email. I had someone bring my car to the location because I could not make it, and the business was closed… I called the number several times, no answer. I called the other locations numbers for «So Fresh and So Clean», no answer. This is a joke. I immediately went on Groupon and got refunded.

Disclaimer: I never actually had any services performed by this company, not for lack of trying. I called several times over the course of about two weeks. There was never any answer from the business. I finally went down in person, made an appointment and left a phone number. Day of appointment, business is closed, not a soul in sight. No answer when I attempted to call later on. No one ever contacted me to reschedule. I shouldn’t have to try this hard to spend my money.

The one time I went I was in line for the longest time, totally did not expect it to take so long.

I brought my car here last week for a full detail.
Positives: my car looks great inside and out.
Negatives: they stole all the change out of my ashtray. Probably only around $ 6 but c’mon. Stealing change?
My car had a vertical crack by the inspection sticker before bringing it here. After picking it up, it had another, longer crack parallel to it. I’m guessing they leaned on the windshield and it cracked.
When I gave the guy the tip, he unfolded all of the individual dollars and counted it right in front of me. After discovering they stole my change, I’m glad I only had 5 ones to tip!

Worst service ever !!! Never ever again ! The owner told me he would «piss in my face» because I told him I wasn’t satisfied with the service and wanted the men to redo a few things, they left trash in places of my car that didn’t have trash before, nothing was wipes or dedusted, and I waited over a half hour for awful service ! Not to mention all the black mold in the waiting room. I was shocked with how I was treated. Unbelievable !!!

Scratched my car. I can understand that things happen, but the owner at 401−434−9274 comes at me like a gangster, trying to intimidate me. Seriously, that is weak, you are a b***h, you and your fat ass body guard. You cannot try to intimidate people at a business, this is not the ghetto. Learn how to handle a business. I will make sure no one I know will ever go into this place.

I’ve been having problems with this place for a while now.
Tonight, I waited for over 20 minutes outside the door, right next to the flashing «OPEN» sign, only to be told (somewhat rudely) they were closed. I had to leave my car and walk inside to find this out. Mind you, it was 5:30 in evening and the front door (which, was open) says open from 8am — 8pm.
AND… they were still washing cars inside! As I was leaving, I informed someone (maybe the owner? Manager? I’m not sure) that their neon sign was still flashing «open» and that I had waited for 20 minutes for a car wash. All he said was «Oh, it’s on?» and walked away, without a care. Really nice customer service… (that’s an exaggeration).
Everytime I’ve gone there in the past, there is something that has irked me — Like when the guys are outside drying my car, I can hear them talking about their personal lives on their cell phones (when, in all honesty, they should be focusing on drying my car) VERY loudly — complete with expletives. I’ve tried to ignore it and get on with my day, but the conversations get louder… and louder… and LOUDER, to the point that I can hear it over the music playing in my car. Yikes! Maybe that’s the reason why my car is always dripping wet when I drive away.
The only reason I’ve ever gone there in the first place was because my car has roof racks and can’t go into an automatic car wash. Now that I happened to stumble upon a new, family owned business that offers an exceptional hand car wash (and even offered to wash my car when they were closing up), see you later «So Fresh and So Clean» — You’ve successfully lost a client.

I have been to this location on many occasions so this review reflects my overall experience at the East Providence SFSC.
I have only gotten the basic washes so I can’t speak for any of the more detailed packages. That being said in general I consider the basic washes a great value — a hand wash for $ 10, add the inside for $ 20 total.
In general the process is pretty efficient but you should expect to wait when they are busy. The professionals have always been good to my car, offering advice that has been helpful in terms of keeping my car clean. I think some of the negative reviews come from Groupon customers, but many like me have been consistent customers. You don’t have to trust my opinion, just look at the long lines!

I just went to this location with a Groupon. I had tried to go to the Branch ave location yesterday. The location is noted on the company web site and the Groupon. When I went there yesterday the gas station informed me that there has never been a car wash there.
Tonight, I tried to go to this location in East Providence. I arrived at 7pm after a twenty minute drive. When I got there, I was told that they were closed so I could not get a car wash. I replied ‘your sign says that you are open, your hours are noted on the door from 8 – 8 and the web site also has the hours noted’. I informed the man that I tried to go yesterday to the Branch ave location and it didn’t exist I said’ my Groupon expires tomorrow’. All I wanted him to say was that he would honor it past the date. He told me he had to close. That his staff wont come in tomorrow if he makes them stay. They worked all day and had been slow tonight. Meanwhile, It is an hour before their business hours end. This man then said to me ‘You could have come in at 8, 9, 10 today’ I explained that I was working. He replied ‘so was I, I need to get home to my family. Why don’t you come tomorrow’ I responded that I was going to be out of town. This man then said, «well where were you for the past 120 days?’ I responded (which now I regret, WHY WAS I REPLYING TO A QUESTION I HAD NO BUSINESS BEING ASKED. I am coming to a business that is supposed to be open) But I said I have been busy fighting cancer (which is why a car wash hasn’t been a top priority) So this man informed me that I was crossing a line. Then he said ‘well I have a head ache and my mother is dead’. Then he said I needed to get off the property. I informed him I was going to call the better business bureau as well as write a review and contact Groupon.
I have never in my life had any business speak to me in such a way. I am beyond annoyed and hope that people read these reviews and that they go out of business.
I would have given negative stars if possible. What happened to the customer is always right? Besides, I just came to a business during their normal hours. It was not as if I arrived five minutes before close. I was there a full hour before.

Meh. Not super impressed.
I saw a groupon for an inside & out cleaning and figured I’d give it a try since my car needs regular cleaning.
You pull up and there’s no «hi how are you?» Or «what do you need done today?» They just start washing your car. Okay, fine. But then they start yelling at you to pull forward, pull to the side, get out of your car, etc.
I would have been okay with this had they actually done a good job. When I got home I had to pull out my vacuum and finish the job. There were still leaves/​crumbs/​etc in the edges/​corners of the seats and in the area behind the headrests in the back. C’mon!
It looks like they do a pretty good job with detailing though.

This is without a doubt the absolute worst place I have ever been to have my car washed. These people do not know what is going on; they soaped up my car and let it sit and walked away… For the interior the guy got in my car answered his cell phone and SAT there for 5 minutes talking. I got here a half hour ago and I’m still sitting outside because the guy just sprayed my tires and walked away. I’m leaving. Stay away.

I took my car to So Fresh and So Clean on Saturday for an exterior wash. I will NEVER come back here again!
First of all, they pack cars inside so it looks like there is no wait. There were at least 8 cars inside during my visit. There is one guy that rinses the cars and then you wait. They soap up your car and then you wait. The first guy comes back and rinses off your car. I waited so long for my car to be rised off that it has visible soap spots all over it. I agree with Mark P’s review (3÷8÷2014). They practice extremely poor cleaning standards. They do not clean their mits. They move from one car to the next taking all the dirt along with them.
I had another customer open his car door into my car (no idea why he even left his vehicle). The car in front of me must have wanted both interior and exterior and they asked him to move his car over so I could go through. He nearly hit the wall and almost backed into my car. I left there with an anxiety level of about 11 out of 10. I cannot express enough that I will never EVER come back to this place.

poor customer service and poor quality workmanship especially when they find out you have a groupon. Owner is rude also

Wow, what a hot mess. I was cringing as I watched them wash my and other cars. They barely rinse the cars off before washing them, which is great if you want any remaining sand or dirt getting rubbed into your paint as they pass the mitts over them. I also saw the brush they use to wash SUVs and trucks laying face down on the floor… a great place to pick up some sand that will give your finish the extra «hazy» and «lightly scratched» look. Overall, just poor washing standards.
I also don’t appreciate getting yelled at and my car knocked on to «pull up! pull up!» It’s like a war zone in the place.
Thanks SFSC for the $ 12 Groupon deals, but it’s not worth the hour I spend in line waiting to get my car washed and the Xanex I need afterwards.

This place has the potential to be great but it’s really not. Some of the employees are extremely friendly and others seem less than pleased about dealing with customers. Aside from that, they rush through everything so quickly. There were only a couple of cars waiting when I went (the last time I went I waited an hour and they rushed everything but I thought it’d be different this time since the wait was so much shorter). If they just took their time and did a thorough job, I’m sure there would be many more happy customers! They missed a couple spots on the outside wash and honestly I do a better job cleaning the inside of my car x 5. They have multiple people work on your car at once so you would think it’d be pristine when they’re done. Nope. Overall, it’s worth the $ 12 Groupon if you don’t want do it yourself, I wouldn’t pay $ 20 though.

For what it’s worth, they did what I didn’t want to do: vacuum my car. My gf had bought me custom made weather mats and I didn’t want to stick them in my car without first getting rid of the debris.
Let’s just say I only decided to go because I had a Groupon. I would not have gone otherwise and I would not recommend spending full price. Why? Although the staff there are friendly, they half assed it for sure. I mean, I get it. It was a $ 12, 10 minute deal… BUT there are about 4 – 5 guys working on your car at the same time. Obviously this is for time issues/​fastest service. But you’d also think that they’d do a much better job. I couldn’t imagine having to pay $ 20 plus a tip (which I definitely gave). Not worth it.
Personally your car would probably get washed better at a car wash that uses machines, instead of ppl. Just my opinion.
You wait in the car while they half ass wash it. It’s kinda awkward honestly. Then when they’re ready to do the interior, you drive up and then you get out and wait in the waiting area, which is super gross. Haha. It had three chairs that you’d never catch me sitting in and a flat screen on the wall. Interesting.
That’s neither here nor there. I didn’t spend too much time waiting on them. Hence the mediocre job. I’m sure had I paid for the more extensive option, it might have been better.
Like I said, it got what I needed done, so in the end I was satisfied. But I also found a piece of my paint on my door chipped off after and I’m not pleased. Not a significant enough piece for me to go ape-​shit, but enough to make me sad.

I’m beginning to see this place as three stars instead of four, hence my update. Come here *only* for the exterior wash and *only* if there’s not a line. They still have done nothing to improve the overall flow of cars so if you are in line outside the building you have to be prepared for a long wait. Also, skip the interior service because it’s $ 10 for not much more than a quick vacuum and wipedown. I’ll continue to come here for the exterior wash because they do a really nice job with it, but only if there isn’t a line. Come on guys, spend some time thinking about how to improve the flow!

I bought car wash on groupon couple days ago. Went in today and will never coming back. The place need some serious remodeling. I think the managment of this place should really consider to train the staff about how to talk to customers. The service was terrible. The wait was a lot longer than the wash. I can still see many dusts inside and dots outside after they cleaned my car. I asked them why it isn’t clean, they told me thats a different service, i need to pay more for that. where on the coupon says those services are included. Very disappointed.
