Yoga Pure and Simple. We are committed to the «less is more» and «quality over quantity.» Our expert teaching faculty are under the direct supervision of 30+ year yoga veteran Ruth Anne Lundeberg. Our classes feature signature posture sequences developed personally by Ruth Anne to ensure our students the best quality training. Our beautiful studios reflect a minimalist design which relaxes the mind and enhances focus and clarity. In our teaching, our studios and our business practices, exacting attention to detail creates an ultra-​high quality experience while creating minimal environmental impact. We believe in creating a new model of sustainability for yoga studios in which the precept «do no harm» extends to humans, animals and the environment. We welcome you to join us. New students, drop-​ins, beginners and advanced yoga students are all welcome.

History

Established in 1999.

Formerly Mama Nirvana’s New Yoga (established in 1999), Nirvana yoga is owned and operated by Ruth Anne Lundeberg, 30+ year yoga veteran and yoga teacher to thousands of individuals in a career spanning 23 years.

Lifelong dancer and mover. Graduated NYU with a Bachelors of Fine arts degree in theater from Experimental Theater Wing. Began formal yoga training in NYC 1983, studying with Dharma Mittra, Glenn Black and at Jivamukti and Integral Yoga Institute. Practicing and studying buddhist since 1988. Ruth Anne has trained in Iyengar, Ashtanga, hatha and electic yoga styles. She is also a certified pilates teacher and freestyle dancer. She is a hypnotherapist with specialized training in past life regression and NLP (Neuro-​Linguisitc Programming)

Ruth Anne is a recognized yoga teacher trainer offering 200 hour training. She personally teaches on all anatomy, technique, breathing (pranayama) meditation, history, lifestyle, philosophy and teaching methodology.

Ruth Anne began her yoga teaching in 1992. She founded yoga programs at Greenfield Community College, Holyoke Hospital, and several Healthrax facilities. In 1999 she opened Mama Nirvana’s New Yoga in Easthampton.
