History
Established in 2011.
I decided to become a doula after the homebirth of my brother. As I assisted my mother as she labored with him, the midwife’s assistant whispered to the midwife that I would make a great doula. Ever since then, I knew this is what I wanted to do!
Meet the Business Owner
Ashleigh Y.
Business Owner
My name is Ashleigh Young and I have been a birth & bereavement doula for 3 years. I am also a Christian, sister, daughter and nursing student. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, sewing, and reading. I believe pregnancy is a special time of a woman’s life, that it should be celebrated, nurtured, and the family surrounded in support. I also believe that each family’s decision on how to bring their child into the world is right for them and fully deserving of support in their decisions.
I trained with DONA for 2 years and am in the process of becoming a certified SBD doula spring 2014. I have supported women and their families through high risk pregnancies, miscarriage, hospital and homebirth, waterbirth, medicated and unmedicated deliveries, Cesarean section, live and stillbirth. I am passionate about serving families through this time. It brings me great joy to come alongside each family as they welcome their child into the world, and I am honored each time I am invited to.
