History

Established in 1994.

Internet Connection, Inc. began in February of 1994, when the modern web was in its infancy. Yahoo was at its infancy, Google had not been born, and Web Crawler and Lycos were the only search engines available. To host a website in 1994 a web designer would need both a server and a high-​speed connection to the Internet; each was costly. Because the high cost of owning a server and maintaining a high speed connection was prohibitive for the small business owner, we became heavily involved in the early research and development of what is today called virtualization. That is, to have a single server hold and host more than one website. We truly were pioneers in developing technology that empowered the «small business» to use the Internet as an effective communications medium. As the internet evolved through the 90’s and turned into the modern Web that we know today, we have grown with it. Our business attitude has not changed since 1994, and we are continually perfecting our techniques.

Since founding Internet Connection Inc in 1994 Brent Stock has been dedicated to supporting community efforts by donating and helping non profit organizations afford web design and hosting costs.

Our most recent contributions include time donated to The Waterfowl Festival, Talbot Humane Society, Quota International of Cambridge, Pecometh Camp and Retreat Ministries, The United Fund, The Chesapeake Center, The Neighborhood Service Center, the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, and many more!
