Uggghhhh… I usually order from the Southfield location but I did not want to drive super far. The food is not that great. Everything was bland. I ordered my beef n lamb medium and it was cooked well, but still dry. I hate that I wasn’t given any garlic sauce even thou I ordered a double kabob plate and a kabob sandwich? The young lady said they only give it with chicken entrees. Other than that, you would have to pay for it. My pita bread was dry and overcooked. The French fries were disgusting, and I only received one small slice of pickle with my entrée. I chose the lamb chili which tasted burnt and the spices were completely overwhelming. I did, however, enjoy the baklava. It was sweet n crispy. I wished that I had never wasted my money. If u have never ate there before and want to try it, I recommend dining in. Then they would have the chance to fix your order. I will never be back or recommend this place to anyone!

Great place for lunch, light meal and very fast. They apparently do not use MSG in their chicken and I’ve asked multiple times, which is a plus. Service is friendly and quick. I’ve never had their smoothies but I’ve seen them made with fresh fruits and vegetables. The small pita bread and garlic they give you while you wait is delicious and fluffy, my favorite part of eating in to be honest.

I’ll cut right to the food: +good hummus, well balanced +delicious, freshly cooked bread +tahini dressing, perfect texture +tabbouli was well dressed, not dry at all –worst falafel I’ve ever had –bland crushed lentil soup –soggy side salad –overpowering grape leaves, wayyyyyyy too much lemon About a 50/50, there’s so many Lebanese and Middle Eastern restaurants around, they’re gonna have to up their game to compete! Hope they do!

Normally I would give five stars here but this is the second time that they lost my take out order. Why am I here again you may ask. Their food over the last year has been excellent. However the last takeout that I got was sub par, they forgot to put the baklava I paid for in my take out bag. So they lost my order and I was missing my favorite dessert, I will forgive that once, so I am back today. I got here to pick up my order and they said they didn’t have it. Not that big of a deal since I only had to wait ten minutes or so. They gave me a fattoush with no dressing, whoever packed my falafel did not put the lid on the tahini sauce so my falafel was a pile of mush by the time I got back to work. The shawarma and baklava were excellent. I called and told them about it and I got dead silence on the other end of the line. This place has OFFICIALLYBECOMEINCONSISTENT. In my book this is very bad. They will vacillate between excellent and super sucky. I just freakin can’t stand that.

My review hovers somewhere between a 3-star and 4-star because I thought the place was A-Ok & I am somewhat a fan, :). The prices did initially seem a tad high, but quality, portion and customer service put me at ease. It also seemed like there were quite a few repeat customers in there, always a good sign. Had the Ultimate Vegetarian Combo with the Lamb Chili and as much of the garlic paste/bread as I could handle(my personal favorite appetizer). The waitress also brought out a homemade salsa which was an excellent accompaniment … really, it was not your average salsa, :). Décor is nice/cozy, probably the best I’ve seen this building/interior look over the years(since the ‘70s or so) … an overall pleasant dining experience. :)

Dined here for the first time last night, which is surprising considering how close it is to my house. I’m vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me. I ended up having Vegetarian Ghallaba(Zesty, instead of the Classic option) which came with soup(opted for Lentil) and rice(vs. fries). All the food was very good. Better than other Mediterranean restaurants that I have visited. We also had bread with garlic sauce and another salsa type sauce, all of which was delicious as well. What impressed me the most, however, was the excellent service we had. Our waitress was very attentive(but not overly so), friendly, and knowledgable. It was the best I have experience ANYWHERE in years! The restaurant itself was very clean and cosy, though the décor seemed a bit dated. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I look forward to returning here often.

Food was ok, not great but ok. Prices are high. For a 3 Shish(kafta, shish beef and shish tawook) combo entrée you pay $ 17.99. The competition(Café Jole) only charges $ 15.99 and the portion is larger so go figure. The table we sat at was wobbly and loose. The décor is old. Someone told me this was a «Clock» restaurant(Like a Denny’s) from 50 years ago. Well, maybe they should remodel lol. *******HEREISTHEWORSEPARTABOUTTHISRESAURANT******** I receive my bill and proceed to pay. I look at the line items and there is a $ 1.00 Set-Up fee. My friend had a $ 1.00 Set-Up fee also on his bill. WTF??? I ask about it and the server says it is to set-up the bread and the garlic sauce we received. I said, «Do you know it is illegal to charge someone for something without informing them at first»? She said the owner makes them do it. I told her to get the owner for me in back. She tried and we would not come talk to me but did tell her to remove the fee. I WILLNEVERGOHEREAGAIN!!! For that reason alone. This is the same scam they tried years ago out west. You would sit down in a restaurant and the server would bring you a glass of water(even if you did not ask for it) then they would charge you a dollar on your bill. Well, that scam went away but this restaurant is trying a similar version of it. I have been to a dozen middle eastern restaurants in Michigan and other states and never had a set-up fee for bread. I did not even ask for it(Although I was expecting it since every restaurant brings it out) surely I should be told it would cost money!!! I wish I could only give this scammer 1 star!!! Do yourself a favor. Drive 4 miles away to Café Jole at 30801 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI48088. Enjoy a beautiful new interior with granite tables, large portions, cheaper prices & friendlier staff!!! trust me.

the only thing that surpassed my meal tonight was the excellent service we received. I ordered the schwarma combo while some of the rice was a touch under cooked the chicken was seasoned deliciously and cooked beautifully. The lentil soup was also seasoned well. This place has plenty of dishes to choose from with many vegan options. Mediterranean food is typically priced higher than other places and this place was lined up with what you would expect at a place like this, however they have great lunch specials and wraps that are decently prices. Good portions, served quickly, and great service.

Lots of vegan options and a knowledgeable waitress to consult with. She took the time to check with the cook when she wasn’t sure if something had dairy in it or not, which we appreciated. The food was pretty good and it was served to us quickly. They have a trio special with a sandwich, large side and drink for $ 9.99.

I’m very surprised there are no reviews here yet. This place used to be called«Hummus». the funny thing was that the Hummus was the weakest thing on the menu. Now«Shish Kabob»(which is the same name for a Greek place on 9 Mile and Harper a mile and a half away) First time here was a carry out when they first opened. The food presentation in the carryout was beautiful. They take the time and make it nice. I’ll try and post some pics. The Good: Salad dressing is very good… if I compliment a salad dressing then I really liked it. I thought they should sell it separately and the next time I came in I noticed that they already had the idea! The Bad: Chicken Shish Kabob flavor was weak, maybe it wasn’t marinated long enough and the garlic spread tasted like they didn’t take out the bitter green part of the garlic. That or it was old. The next time dine in: What a turn around, ordered the Shish Tawook and this time the flavor was very good. Hummous good, condiments, garlic spread better. Bread. Pepper and I have gotten take out here a few times this year and it seems to be improving. Fallafel is just ok. Oh, and the service is usually very good and one server was fantastic. 3.75 stars
